Mountain of trouble (Fantasy-Postapo)

'I am ready,' Irina nodded, 'What about you, Sophia?' She smiled at the blonde templaress.

Seeing that everyone was ready, Irina indicated Rufus to get going and lead the nine of them out of the courtyard of the inn and turned on the road. She kept an eye on Angel, in case she was too tired to continue on.

 

As they continued their journey, Angel felt she was being watched. The busty guardswoman looked around, to see Irina was the culprit. She gives the gypsy a tired smile, "Don't worry. I can manage to keep myself from falling off." She says, to reassure Irina.

 

The road was clear and quiet, the Sun warm nice backs of travelers. Brease push thier backs too, giving them fresh air andSoon they leave their forest and started climbing, when way getting up and up. Less trees and bushes, more rocks and stones around. Runa move before Irina, and sleep.

 

'Just checking, Angel, must be hard to keep balance with so much weight in front. I pity your back, really,' Irina smirked at the busty girl. She smiled at Runa and wondered how he could sleep on horseback. The gypsy closed her eyes a moment and enjoyed the warm sun on her skin, the soft breeze tickling her hair, the mountain air filling her lungs and nostrils, the bird song reaching her ears. Smiling, she opened her eyes watched the road and surroundings while they rode further into the mountains.

 

Before their eyes was showing big defile, with hight stone walls for both side of patch. The road was smaller, and they need to ride one after another. In the sky they can see two eagles, as they hunting for some prey.

 

Irina rode on at the front of the column, she looked up at the top of the walls of the ravine with apprehension. The witch hoped that no rockfall would occur while they were traversing the narrow path.

 

Angel lets Sophia, and Thomas go in front of her. "I'll guard our rear." She says, while giving her cheeks a light smack.

 

The area was quiet, but peacefull. No mater how hard Irina tried to look up, she see only few small trees and rocks. Soon before their eyes road become wilder, and they stand before crossroad. One way have less plants and lead highter, with less space. The secend lead down and they can see small bushes with wild berries. It give more room for horses.

 

‘Ho, there, Rufus,’ Irina stopped her stallion and turned to the others, ‘Ahm—someone know which path we should take to get to our destination?’ The witch wished their guide was still with them.

 

Angel takes a look at the crossroads, and says. "I think we should take the path that goes higher. Our destination is the mountains, yeah?" She looks at the paths, to see if there are any recent tracks.

 

Irina nodded, ‘Seems logical. Alright, follow me then. Let’s ride, Rufus.’ The witch led the party up the path higher into the moutains.

 

After choising path to up, road getting highter and highter, what make not to safe riding on horse. Few minutes later, one wall ended and they can see how hight they climb. Three steps near the path, and uncarefull traveler fall down to realy long fly to ground. They can see inn, what look like house for dolls.

 

‘Damn, we need to be careful,’ Irina looked down the mountain to the inn. She got off Rufus, and patted his mane, ‘It’ll be safer if we lead on foot, right?’ She took the stallions reins and continued up the path on foot.

 

When Rufus look down, he steping back and yell out noise. Runa on his back was wake up and give angry maohw. Horse block way to rest of group tried to get out of holding witch.

 

‘No, Rufus! Calm down, boy! Calm down! You’ll fall!’ Irina cried desperately and tried to hold his reins firmly.

 

Runa jump off Rufus, and make distance from him. Cat making voice, like he want to say something to Irina. Rufus steping back, pushing him more to Sophia, and didn't look like to calm down. Witch could see fear and panic in horse eyes, when he look down.

 

Irina stumbled foward, dragged with the reins of Rufus as he backed up. ‘Don’t look down, Rufus! Look at me! Look at the wall, anywhere but down!’ She pleaded with her stallion.

 

Because of the narrow mountain path, Angel dismounts. And begins to lead her mare through the path, while holding her horse's head up. "There, there, nice and slow." She whispers. But, seeing Irina's mount panicking, Angel tried to make sure her own mount doesn't do the same.
