Actually, I wonder if certain fruits and vegetables might have been deliberately bred to be differently-shaped than what we see in our world -- more things that are the size and shape of cucumbers, if you get my meaning.
That makes sense. I gave attribution in the comments, would you like me to do anything else in regards to the stories that were moved over? Change: ...and their three children Rachel, Pat, and Alex (aged 20, 18, and 16 respectively) And change the last line to something similar to "You can follow one of them on their journey or pick another family." (to include other branches such as the Rider one)
You can't find it? It should look like this: After further inspection, I do appear to have missed a few. Sorry about that, I added them. Hopefully that's ok. Anything else that needs to be done about the migrated chapters?
'S cool. Not off the top of my head, no. On a somewhat similar note, I have this vague recollection of, whilst on a bit of a bestiality kick, suggesting that Sexworld had dogs and other animals specially bred and trained to fuck.
Oh no, we won't incorporate that at all because this stuff gets people and stories banned from the site, which would be a waste. Only fantasy and mystery creatures are allowed like centaurs and werwolfs but no real animals.
This was at least the policy back on the old site and I can't imagine it has changed. Same with Alex storyline, I'm not sure her age won't bite edwards in the ass one day.
So, mu's new chapter got me wondering; we briefly touched on it before, but has anyone given thought to religion in Sexworld? I kinda tend to assume it's the same religions as IRL, but with their attitude toward sex altered, which, granted, has some major knock-on effects. At one point, the story was going to be about a Catholic priest, and include the conceit that Church had come to the conclusion that, for some reason, when God made Sexworld, He decided that lust wouldn't be sinful there. I eventually deicded I didn't know enough about the workings of Catholicism to write that, though.
I've been talking with Stone about religions. For the sake of full disclosure, I'm actually devoutly Jewish myself, and sex isn't as taboo for us as it is for the other Abrahamic religions. Basically we we seem to be on the same page as to how Sexworld religions work, and I've been slyly adding a few religious overtones here and there. Right now the most prominent example of that in my story is the character of Sherry, the daughter of a prude world missionary. Specifically representing Assembly of G-d, one of the more... light hearted of the Christian denominations, or so at least one member friend tells me. I've been VERY careful not to actually write her age out. And I didn't start the thread. It can basically be averted entirely if Shen changes the opening text to ignore their ages and instead say something like "Pat and Alex, in high school, and Rachel attending college" or something like that.
First, right on. Second, thanks for averting the ass-biting Mu warned about. I think we've now covered our bases pretty handily!
I didn't think that we would discuss religion in this threat. To clarify there are Christians in my form of Sexworld but they are different. The current form of Christianity, which we have here, would not have gotten to power the same power in Sexworld, so I came up with a little backstory for myself. After the fall of the Roman Empire the conservative Christians (The one we know), came to power in Italy while in other parts of the Mediterranean regions other more <open> forms of Christianity arose. During the early middle Ages almost all of Italy followed this conservative Christianity. Ironically they outbred the “normal” Sexworlders, united under their Pope and started a series of crusades (the Italian Crusades) against the heathens. This made even the more open Christian sects more suspect to other people and seriously hampered the mass conversions, which happened in our world. So today conservative Christianity almost died out, there are a few more open minded groups around but they don’t form the majority and most hardcore Christians are missionaries from our world.
Eh, I don't really care for that idea; in my head, there's no specific "point of divergence" between Prudeworld and Sexworld; Sexworld has always been Sexworld-y, and the idea of it being otherwise is not something that ever really occurred to the locals until they encountered Prudeworld.
... More I think about it, the less happy I am with my most recent chapter. It was really just meant as a setup for an epilogue I've since cut from my outline. It doesn't really SAY anything new. I'm not going to cut it or anything, but man this didn't work for me. Well, now I know better. Also, somehow I managed to rush the chapter despite having weeks to work on it, because Life. Sorry about the mini-rant. I'm just... grumpy about things.
So, I've been rolling an idea around in my head, for a new character thread, but I don't want to do it if no one else is interested in expanding it, since I'm afraid it'll die on the vine if it's just me. Do you guys mind if I run it by you?
