Notifications for activity on Introduction chapters need to use the story's title!!!!!

  1. Notifications for other chapters give both chapter name and story name, yet introduction chapters give no information at all. It's an unnecessary layer of obfuscation. I know this is something that has been complained about before the site was actively undergoing renovations.

On a similar note of suggestions for improving notifications, listing the chapter depth could be useful. If one was to get 2 notifications from the same story, one for a ch.36 being added and another for a ch.284 being added, it'd be a bit easier to intuit which threads they might belong to for a long-term follower. Could also still be useful for comment replies and such, too.

One extra suggestion that could tangentially be related to notifications. With the sidebar giving more info on word-counts now, having individual chapter word-counts displayed could be a nice extension of that direction. Places such a stat could show up is on chapter posted notifications, and/or below the header of chapters next to author and chapter number, and/or on the story map, and/or on the next chapter links at the bottom of each current chapter. ...That last one in particular could be helpful for avoiding giving undue views to "placeholder" chapters, but in general being given forewarning of chapter length can help readers prioritize which threads they have time for on a given day.

I agree with all of these suggestions.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

    I’ve updated notifications so that:
    - Activity on an Introduction chapter now uses the story’s title.
    - Chapter-related notifications show the chapter depth, such as “Chapter 36.”
    - Notifications for newly published chapters also show the chapter’s word count when available.
This appears in both the notification dropdown and the full notifications page.

I kept word counts out of next-chapter links and other activity notifications to avoid unnecessary clutter.

The word count for the current chapter can already be found behind the info icon at the bottom of the chapter.

Existing notifications will remain unchanged. These improvements apply to new notifications going forward.
