Android1966 Artican Duskford JealCo Zelonkarac {1… 2… 3… 4…} 2p1k3 [1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9...] [Blank] So above will be a list of authors that wish to be known as open for 'Collaboration'. Updating this post with additional users will be either a moderator or I. {Hint: If a moderator is of similar mind as I and likes this idea, they are more than welcome to help update the list} Until such time as those doing the webmaster stuff have a want to add this as an option in our accounts or in creating/editing a stitch {Chapter} of a weave {story}. I've linked the page where my post, is suggesting this be added as an option on our accounts or at page creation/edit, appears on the [Post Suggestions Here] thread in the [Site Feedback] forum. [What is Collaboration] This option could play out such as say [Chapter 13 by 2p1k3] instead appears as [Chapter 13 by 2p1k3]. If the option is chosen to be added as a feature. Another author chooses to a [chapter 14 ...]; Then 2p1k3, me, or someone else continues with a [Chapter 15 2p1k3/...]; et cetera. Each stitch {chapter} continuing the story arch of the overall thread. As for why this is can be more helpful? Ever notice how many one or two stitch branches there are in almost every open weave {story}? Telepathy and empathy is currently beyond my skill set. Therefore, knowing if an author is open to 'corroboration' with a stitch will help me decide to contribute to the overall weave {story} or not, at least would be helpful to me, think do I. Given the prevalence of one-to-three stitch branches written by other users, this desire may be shared by more than me. Or maybe there are multiple desires it helps satisfy more harmoniously. Thank you for sharing your time and Force; May you ask the Goddess to eternally alight your path.
"Collaboration" ? So this is a declaration by the author that they'd be happy to alternate threads with someone, or at least encourage others to build on their chapter(s)? Might be helpful in extending short threads in an otherwise popular story. (Less popular stories probably won't be helped, but, hey, wouldn't hurt.)
That is it exactly and I agree with your assessment. However, this could be best accepted as an option with the [* Add a New Chapter] page, feel do I. The difference may help users who may be reluctant, on what specific stitches {chapters/posts} they are interested in corroborating. It would just may be a check box that would fag the page to display the author's handle as green text instead of the default blue text.
This is more similar to braiding than just adding a post. That is each post in a thread alternating between authors. That is just being open to letting others expand upon whatever idea that began the first post… thereby adding a new post to what was added by another. Part of what holds me back is the lack of a desire to solo write a long story arc. Part of me wonders why I would want to do that instead of writing something to eventually be published. With 'corroboration', it helps to grow and advance my skill in writing believe do I. There are these mailing list games that I used to participate in that call themselves "email RPG sims". The biggest number of them are based in the Star Trek universe as fan fiction. All emails shared through the list telling part of a story of the ship from the perspire of the players' character. A good current example is StarBase 118 believe do I. However, the experience ended over a decade ago, as I got into computer games, writing, and ChYOA for me. So the quality of that specific one is unknown to me. Just was the first one googled threw up on the screen. In the game sometimes 'players' would group together to write a single email. That was what I did a lot of and enjoyed the most.
I have done this, just by chance occasionally on stories here. It can be a whole load of fun if you find a partner in tune with your style.
I remember that some time ago, a few other authors and I used to write collaborative threads for my story, At the Cabin, and it was really fun. We settled on a posting order and just went with it.
Yes, what i hope is added is just a passive way of enabling members to know that Corroboration is an option without having to send messages, ask in comments, or post a continuation and just hope a member decides to do this.
So basically "mark" a chapter as "I currently don't plan a continuation to this chapter. Feel free to add an answer chapter because you won't create a 'duplicate' of a chapter I have in mind. (Because I haven't one in mind)" ?
You are right, thank you. Collaboration was of what i was thinking. I've asked Friedman if he will change the word in the title of this thread. As that feat fails to be allowed to me.
You can add me to this list, as well. I write when I find the words to do so, and sometimes I'm months between chapters. Anything I write is open to be expanded on by others at any time. I welcome the input, as it often helps spark new ideas in me, making writing a lot easier.
How about this for a fun exercise: Pick a thread in one of your stories that looks like a good spot to branch out with and post it here. If one of us has an idea for that thread, they can make the add on. Also, it would be easier to jump in if you include a liitle synopsis of the scene up to that point.
Wonderstrukk idea, I have concisely inserted nine I'll give a short synopsis after this. I felt it is important to keep a shorter list in the O.P. Abundantly welcome are others to list articles they wish to collaborate on and the same will be done. {You Accept} ~ Bryce has accepted the Elven Princess as his fiancee with a generous corps of soldiers and equipment to subdue the upstart rebels. {Olive Branch in Transit} ~ As Sheppard struggles to keep his romantic lover promise to Liara T'Soni, she is faced with a difficult task in helping him. {They are Asked to Return to Ithaca for a Fortnight} ~ Colonizing another world sounded great until the planet turns out to have magik, elves, and dragons among other surprises. You are marrying a heir to the executive branch of an Elvhen State. {Polyamorous Marriage} ~ Having stalled the Demonic incursion into the world, your unique suitors decide to collaborate their marriage proposal. {Fall from Grace Accepts} ~ A recently made without a master, a Succubus, accepts the Master of Alkhermy, the goblin Kazex, as a mate. {Kontinuing Questions} ~ Sent to colonize a planet, your ship was sabotaged and you find your mother dead and you alone with your sister in orbit around the target planet. After going crazy and cloning your sister but without cloning her mind, the ship's A.I. has altered all stored hominid embryos into Futanaries. The colony's structure was built by robots sent before you. {... Then Comes Marriage, And Next Comes...} ~ {Where Did He Learn To Negotiate Like That?} ~ Something preternatural has excited the world into chaos, and leaving it in a state of dystopian apocalypse. Two young women were subdued and raped are given a choice. {Kompromise} ~ The King has claimed the vanquished Wolf Queen as a Mate but is asking Yani to join them. :: I suggest that nine be the absolute limit to anyone's list. Though people are welcome to 'change' what they wish to list from time to time.
I'm opened to collaboration. I've built most of my stories to be open to multiple branches. I want more variety in my stories and I feel I'm getting close to just rehashing my past writing already. John goes to the Mall Zander's Family Secret Billy the Nerd Rich needs a Costume
This is a wonderful idea, thanks for taking initiative on it. I try to build in natural branching point to many of my chapters. Here's a few (of many) that I would enjoy seeing continued, with an accompanying 'the story up until this point': From Party Time (3rd person, past tense): LESLA: Lesla is a friendless, self-loathing emo girl (emo in the true sense, not merely as a style choice) surrounded by an abusive popular-student crowd. For the first time she is getting approval, but for all the wrong reasons, as she is forced to abuse and degrade herself at a party. No one pays attention to Lesla at this party except when they want to mess with her or she begs to be degraded. No one except head cheerleader Eva and quarterback Trevor, that is, who hang the threat of blackmail over her if she stops performing for their party. Armed with a fluffy-pink-topped magic marker up her ass, a leash, a collar, and sporting various humiliating body writings that will keep track of how much she is getting abused over the night, our emo heroine slowly discovers a masochistic side to herself as she is forced to degrade herself for the pleasure of her betters. Some continuation suggestions: She is allowed a moment to get herself cleaned up - After her initial abuse, Lesla has been allowed to get herself clean. Time for more! She took a little too long - Lesla took too long getting herself cleaned up. Now she's set up to accept piss into any of her little holes, and gets a special magic marker star to keep track of getting used in this manner. Time for more, now accepting piss! TERRA: Terra is a physically and mentally strong 27 year old man-hating woman at a frat party. She's there to protect her younger sister Beth but, uh-oh, she didn't so such a great job! Now she has to do what bad boy Doug and his flunkie Jay say, or watch her younger sister suffer, and suffer herself. Some continuation suggestions: She is encouraged to submit - Terra and Beth have been through a lot already. Maybe if Terra suppresses her pride and just submits to whatever the cruel boys say she and Beth will be spared a worse fate. And then some - In this branching Beth is okay, but Terra is not! She went and got herself way drunk and passed out in a secluded room. Now she's too drunk to defend herself as two chubby loser boys (calling each other 'L' and 'R') have free reign over her magnificent body, and at least one of them is quite angry that a pretty woman like Terra wouldn't normally even think of getting together with him. L is the more angry one, R appears to have something resembling a conscience, or at least fear of consequence (though not much of either, as it hasn't saved Terra yet!) CHRIS: WARNING - MALE ON MALE: Chris is a hot little trap with a very dangerous plan to get revenge on his bully Jedd by proving that Jedd is a 'faggot' in front of all his friends. How? Dress as a slutty jailbait girl named Calli and infiltrate Jedd's party! He has a couple branchings - in the Jedd-focused branch he has made his way to the party and recruited a couple unaware losers (best friends Swag and Mark) to maybe help him, though it's hard to tell what help they might be when both want to get into his apparently female skirt and have no idea that he's male or what his plan is. Kissing games and a better party atmosphere - Chris has finally located Jedd at his party, in a cellar adjoining Jedd's house. Inside is a full service bar and a multitude of impressively thought-out sexy party games. With Swag and Mark in tow, surrounded by Jedd's posse and other partygoers both male and female how much trouble can one sissy trap get into down there? (hint: lots) Can he succeed in his crazy mission? Can he keep his secret while playing games like strip poker and 7 minutes in heaven? He gets an offer for spin the bottle he can't refuse - As above, only Chris is primed for a session of spin the bottle with the girls... or seven minutes in heaven with Mark and/or Swag if he spins himself
