Hi all, we're the Paroxysm team, and we're opening Paroxysm to new players.
Paroxysm is a persistent text-based multiplayer RPG (a MUD) set in a supernatural dystopia. The old world opened gates to Hell, almost half of humanity died before they closed, and what remains lives under the Cortex, a single world government that keeps people alive through surveillance, containment and control. Some people carry supernatural natures the Cortex never authorized, and some build communities beyond its reach. Societies are player-led and conflict has consequences.
18+ only. It is in early alpha, so the world is still forming and we'd welcome testers and early players. AI is used in parts of the project; the lore is human-approved.
To play: connect with a MUD client (such as Mudlet) or telnet to mud.paroxysmrpg.com:3000, or try the web client, create a character and find a scene.
