Lance Vangar looked through the list of names on his tablet and then back up at Lana who was sitting across his desk from him.

"A ten man crew, plus a pilot for this scouting mission."

"And you think this is wise? You're the only human. Every member of the team you picked is an AH."

"When I announced that Yukon was going to be second in command, most of the people I had chosen backed out immediately."

"Don't want to answer to an AH? Or afraid to have a woman commander in the field?"

"Neither should matter. The safety of our people is the priority, not their egos."

"You could have forced the issue. Or at least written them up." Vangar saw her delima and even agreed with her. But she was taking a big risk going into the field with no other humans. The AH she had picked were all combat ready, in theory at least, but untested against enemies. If something happened, he wasn't sure she would be able to survive.

"If they don't want to follow me, they are welcome to leave the force. I don't need someone having my back if I can't trust them to watch it. I'll go it alone with Yukon if I have to."

Vangar sighed and signed off on her requested team.

"If something happens. Even the slightest thing seems out of place, you come right back."

"Don't trust me to handle myself captain?"

"I trust you. That's the only reason I'm agreeing to this. But don't let pride get in the way of what is important. You need to come back alive and keep our people safe. Sacrifice is only noble if it allows your people to continue on without you. I don't know if we can continue without you Miss Yuki."

She was startled by his closing statement and she started to say something, but stopped herself. She thanked him for approving her team and excused herself.

When/if Cain knocks on the door, Andrea Hornsby will answer the door wearing a bathrobe and a towel on her head.

"Oh! Officer Cain, I wasn't expecting to see you so soon. Are you well?" She gives him a sly smile and a "Come Hither" look with her eyes.

"My husband is out today. Rather unhappy was well. Seems his favorite AH pleasure worker has had her work load cancelled for the foreseeable future. He's probably off finding a replacement toy."

"He is actually very good at his job. Probably one of the few reason's he's been able to keep it. When he puts his mind to it, he can be a genius. The problem is that most of his thinking is done with his smaller head. He was probably on his way to see Dahlia when he left you. An hour with her and he seems to be able to work nonstop for days."

She takes a sip and smiles, leaning back against the counter.

The class goes by smoothly and Josh returns her winks with smiles and mouthing flirty things. Naomi blushes every time, but by the end of class, she gives a weak smile and mouths "See you at break."

Once class is over, Alicia can either wait for her next class and the coming break, or spend some free time wandering the school.

When class effectively ends, Alicia walks over to Josh's seat and puts a hand on his shoulder, preventing him from leaving until all the other students were gone from the room. When she's sure they're alone, she goes over to the door and closes it before returning to him.
