    If you use images in your chapters, you have to use a link to an image that is hosted on another site. (e.g. an image hoster)
    Saving the coded image won't work and will lead to the shown error.

    So the image "link" should not be longer than a few lines.
    (I have removed the image from the chapter, so you can access it again.)

    Hi, looks like my story's run into the chapter count/depth not updating: https://chyoa.com/story/Paladin-Simulator.28810
    In my case, the chapter count/depth only reflects chapters posted after publishing

    Edit: Just tried posting a chapter at depth 22. Total chapter depth correctly updated to 22, but the chapter count only increased by 1 (i.e. number of chapters after publishing)
