Ignored Users keep appearing in my notifications.

It doesn't happen all the time, but it's annoying when I don't recognise their name on a popular story and get disappointed to see that it's a 3 sentance chapter with less substance than the title of said chapter.

 

You should not receive notifications if an ignored user adds a chapter to a favorite story.

Right now, you will get a notification if an ignored user adds a chapter to a bookmarked chapter. (Though I'm not sure if that is intended.)
So could it be that you got the notifications for chapters that have been added to bookmarked chapters?

I’m not sure if this where I post this but my notifications are not working. I’ve had a story approved, multiple likes, and some comments on my stories over the last hour or so and for some reason I’m not getting notified of it.

 

The same happened to me a couple days ago. For a few hours I wasn't receiving any notifications for likes, favorites or comments on my story even though I could see them appearing. Then it seemed to fix itself and the notifications appeared over time later.

The same notification problem the previous two users reported just happened to me, I think. A story I am an editor/writer in was updated by the owner and I've only seen it because I caught it on the main page as a recent update. I've liked the chapter and commented on it, but it didn't get registered in the "recent activity" section in my profile as well.

 

Do you remember which chapter it was?

I'm gonna assume I got one of those spam messages, but I've got a notification for it that won't go away and no way of clearing it manually.

 

I got a notification in messages but no conversation has been updated or added. Was it the spam user?

I am unsure if it’s a bug but I have a big number 1 next to my messages tab on the toolbar for the site but whenever I go into my messages tab it doesn’t load and whenever I go to the messages page it just tells me I have no messages.

 

The number 1 refers to the message from the spammer. I’m currently running a script that updates the unread message notifications for all users. So the badge should disappear soon. Thank you for your help

 

I'm having some trouble with my story Adventures of the Doctor. For some reason, when I go to click 'start game' to test out some of the chapter links and statuses, i start getting redirected to the gif of McLovin. After I click it, eventually after trying to access a chapter or two or back out, all I see is the 404 page gif, and can't even access the story to edit it or make new chapters.

Any idea what is going on, or what additional info is needed to diagnose? Thanks!

 

Maybe there is a problem with the variables that have already been set. Does the problem go away if you reset the game?

This sounds like you have "left" the game on a chapter that has been deleted afterward.

That means that the current save game points to a non-existent chapter. (The same thing might happen if a chapter that used to be a link destination has been deleted. After choosing the link chapter, you'll have the same problem.)

 

Thank you sir! I went in and unlinked and then relinked, and it seems to work now.

 

Hello, I am getting a persistent 502 error on this chapter over the course of several days. I believe this is due to a bad image link or something.
