This probably means that the cookie can't be stored on your device. I've disabled the age-restricted content warning for users who are logged in. So you shouldn't see it anymore. Could you tell me on which platforms you've tested it?
I noticed it while browsing on my Kindle Fire, both with the default browser and with Firefox. I saw the same behavior with Chrome in incognito mode on Win7.
Incognito mode dosen't store cookies, since a cookie is, by definition, a record of your activity to varying degrees of specificity, so anything that needs them will not work in that mode.
I use Chrome in incognito mode on Win10. I get the age confirmation overlay only once, no matter, if I'm logged in or not. Incognito mode does store cookies, as long as at least one incognito chrome window is opened. With closing the last window all cookies and other record of activity on client side will be deleted.
I lost a whole chapter because a pop up erased all my work when I tried to fill in the next chapter question. On my ipad the pop ups open a new page where the old one was and then opens a new tab for the old page. Of course, the old page does not have any of the filled in text.

I've reported the inability to change the forum password, but the problem has intensified. I cannot login on the main site because no matter how many times I change password when I leave the site, it refuses me entry every time. So I have to go through the process of saying I've forgotten password, then waiting for the e-mail, copying the link, changing the password, re-entering the changed password (at which point I am logged in as Beeble42) then clicking on a couple of pages and logging out. Of course the changed password never works (it tells me there's an error every time) and I have to go through the same process again. Then I have to look up my forum password, since I can't change that, in order to log in to here and tell my tale. It's incredibly frustrating. I'm disinclined to add stories while I have no confidence of being able to log in. Are there rules for setting passwords on the site which make my passwords invalid? If so it ought to tell me when I am typing them in.
Thanks for posting this again! I've identified the following issues: Issue #1: You can't log in on the main site, even if you change your password (via password reset option). Issue #2: Forum password isn't up-to-date. I've found a bug which is probably related to #1. Can you set your password again and let me know if you can now log in on the main site? If this works, I'll sync your forum password with that.
I can now log in on the main site. I'm going to log off from here so you can sync the passwords and I'll try again tomorrow.
Drafts don't seem to like being deleted. I added several additional chapters to a draft story and then deleted them. Now any time that I return to the "Edit story" page and click "Save as Draft", all of the deleted chapters immediately reappear - as if they were never removed. In addition to that, it seems to be impossible for me to delete a story from my drafts. Trying to delete an unpublished story from the "Edit story" page brings up the incorrect warning: "This story has chapters which were written by other users. Please delete them first." I seem to get this error message regardless of how many chapters a draft contains. Even a single chapter draft, consisting of just an intro, cannot be deleted.
i am unable to log into the webpage on desktop pc in opera incognito mode all of a sudden. but it works fine in my opera incognito mode on my mobile opera browser. the problem is that if i try to log into this site from the frotnpage the log in button in the type in login infor window doesn't do anything. i have found a workaround for this issue i go into a story i find on the front page then go to the seccond or third page depending on how you are counting it (something like that) and only then am i able to get that button to work. sometimes only if i make the login window pop up by wanting the story map.
Often when I publish the site times out on me. When I go back an republish I find that the rich text editor italics function has gone wonky. Blocks of text that I had italicized will no longer be in italics with a _ symbol surrounding the block. Also, text that was not italics will be in italics. It doesn't show up until the text is published so I can only fix it by editing the published form not the pre-published form.
Wow I've only just noticed the variables are implemented! Awesome! Little bug report: Since the 'game' mod automatically sends you back to the current chapter, you can't click on links - for the author of a story, this means you can't go through redirect pages! Also, some variables don't save, is there maybe a restriction on multi word variables that begin with the same word?
Linked chapters don't seem to work for me in game mode. If I'm logged in as the author it just keeps reloading the interstitial page. If I'm not logged in I get a "too many redirects" error message in my browser.
