New information:
Now, it may have been noted that Mind seems like a weaker stat than the others, requiring a minimum of 3 to consent for sex and the like where the other two require only 2 to perform, and so forth.
This is not true, Mind is actually the strongest stat because Mind controls your ability to make and use technology and "Magitech".
Technology requires little explanation: things like gunpowder, rockets, wind/water mills, smelting iron, and so on are all possible here eventually, and most of them are governed by the Mind Stat.
Magitech, by contrast, needs more thorough explaining.
Magitech is the technology of the inter-dimensional civilization of this setting. Each of the crashed stasis capsules provides enough components to build between 1 and 3 Magitech devices of various kinds. Magitech is not like normal technology, in that it works using principles not of chemistry and physics, but alchemy and enchantment. Each world is slightly different in its magical systems and fields, so magitech may work unreliably or unpredictably on a new world, but is almost always more powerful than standard technology. The systems of all known worlds are similar enough that the devices designed and built on one world will function on another, just perhaps not quite in the expected ways, however. Magitech also is the easiest way to gain new magical abilities on this world: when you have a magitech device it typically takes one mana to activate it for a 'scene', allowing you to use whatever special abilities it grants until there is a change of scene.
As an example: one of the more common items you can make from a stasis capsule's parts is a 'Blaster': Blaster's fire bolts of magical energy at one's enemies. They come in many styles and types but the stasis capsule ones take the form of an arcane device that fits over one hand and is controlled by clenching your fist around the handle inside, with a rate-of-fire of 1 shot per round, but and able to be used effectively in close combat or even when grappled. Blasters deal three hit points of damage for a standard hit, twelve on a critical. (Meaning a critical hit is instant death for a standard starting character. Critical hits are caused only by called shots to vital areas of a target, such as the head or heart.)
Alright, I think that's enough for a morning post: catch you in the afternoon.
