Instinctively, Kelly adjusted her stance; her feet spread, her legs parted, and almost in need she tried to grind her scantily clad sex against Lark's growing erection.
"I-" Kelly faltered at his question. Why was she seeking Queen Anai? She had no personal interest in the woman, and it wasn't like she expected to find the monarch, she'd been dead for near two-thousand-years! While her sisters of the faith were betrayed and murdered by the queen, and she wanted justice for the action, what justice could be had against a dead woman? Further, even if by some impossible miracle Anai was still alive, what could she do? She may now have been a priestess of Isis, but she was a lover not a fighter.
The teacher sighed and looked down, "my husband is an archeologist who's been seeking this city for years. I'm his wife, and I'll support him in any endeavor he undertakes. My Goddess... I feel her desire for justice. While it's true I'm no warrior, Isis has given me so much. She's shown me my calling, my purpose, my very reason for being. I will do whatever she asks of me regardless of the risk. My soul is hers."
Kelly looked back up into Lark's eyes. "If you know of the location of the orbs please tell me! I must know."
