Sanctum Mesa Republic (Political Sex RP)

"Simple put because even though i agree with the loan that dose not change the fact that we are political opponents ,you thinks that if us were in their situation they would not try to fuck us over in some way ,hell they probably thinking right as we talks now of something to do to fuck us over ."Blake sigh before starting again "Irene you saw how they opened the conversation they accused us of being racist and not caring of the people that is how they see us terrible people and because of that they would not shy away from the dirtiest of tactics "Says Blake before puting a hand on his forehead"But i guess you were asking if its worth it to do this or not. And maybe i am too heated after that discussion with them to make logical choices maybe we should just go to our party and say we need to stay united in this and be done with it, What do you says Irene Symania is it worth the trouble i value your girls advice"Says Blake while looking at them

His assistant closed her eyes for a moment, with a sight.

"You are always troubelsome. Cleaning up your outburst is practically part of the job."

Irene chuckled and the elf's antics.

"Calling an old lady a girl~still, such a rouge." a smile then disappeared from her lips. "What's done, is done. The question is what will we do now? Shall we compete with JL? Or do we try to push different agendas, while they are busy with buying votes?"

For Jean her son's offer was at once welcome and not. While publicly she supported the Justice League agenda, in reality the only part of their platform she agreed with were aspects of their economic policy. In her planned dealings with the PHP she wanted to impose upon them her commitment to an Independent Sanctum Mesa and her shared views on elven relations, while at the same time placating their insistence on a military based economy and want of a democracy. Meanwhile her negotiations with the NOP would heavily rely on her assurance that the military would not be ignored with the loan.

She loved to listen to her son speak. He was passionate, and commanding and she would oftentimes get enraptured by his speeches. But he was also earnest and honest. People believed and followed him because he believed in what he spoke about. Backroom politics was a dirty business by nature and one had to compromise their morals and integrity to get things done. It was something Jacob's father didn't understand because she'd spent the last twenty years protecting him from it. She wanted her son to maintain the same moral high-ground his father had, and him being in the room as she stabbed the Justice League in the back to further its agenda was something that would only hinder her.

She granted Jacob a warm smile that was tinged with a touch of sadness. "While I would adore to spend more time with you, and I do so love to listen to you speak, I think your efforts would be best suited to negotiating with representatives of VEL or the CCL, Your reputation would have a far better ability to swing their votes to us than mine."

Her husband nodded his head, still deep in thought.

"Start negotiations with the independents... I will try to convince those few strays in our ranks." He waved his hand.

Years ago, he would show her more feeling... now, their interactions were purely professional...

After Jean made her goodbyes to her son, she was approached by her ever silent assistant and secretary - and gynoid she bought a couple of years ago... She was a great personal assistant and had a few defensive functions... While not as flexible as humans, she was loyal - due to her programming.

Jacob suppresses a blush at his mother's praise - he's always tried to pretend that he didn't like it - and nods. "Alright, then, mother. Just..." He gives her a long look. "Just...you don't have to agree to anything...drastic. There'll be another way to get what we want." He doesn't say what he's referring to, but he hardly needs to. Jacob has always assumed that his mother's way of making deals was something she didn't want to do, but was forced into by circumstance, so he gives her a smile and a pat on the shoulder. "Alright." He says after a silent moment. "I should head out to meet with those representatives."

Turning, he leaves his parents, and contacts his political aide, Mysandra, the woman appearing via a hologram at his wrist.

"Hey, My. Could you contact the VEL and CCL for me? I'd like to get a meeting with some of their senators. Preferably one after the other."

He hired the woman a few months ago. She was looking for a job, after returning from Asari republics, where she finished economic studies.

Mysandra nodded.

"I think I will be able to set a meeting with VEL soon - maybe next few hours."

Which wouldn't be strange, considering she was romantically engaged with one of Asari secretaries working for VEL senator.

"As for CCL-"

"Senator!" Before she could finish, Jacob was intercepted by a reporter, a flying camera focusing on him.

"Any comment about the latest voting? What the JL plans to do now with the crisis when your motion failed!?"

Jacob turns on the charm, as he faces the reporter. "Hello, there." He turns to the camera. "I won't lie to you, people of Sanctum Mesa. We've suffered a setback, today. But with or without Asari money, I know that we will recover. Our people have survived so much. Not only survived, but thrived! Built a great republic, where men and elves can live their lives in peace and safety, and not be tyrannised by petty warlords like so many other places. Keep the faith, good people, and these uncertain times will end." He nods. "If you wish to act, join me, in helping the poor and the needy, put your energy into aiding those who can't aid themselves."

"Some say that recent series of defeats in the senate and failures to improve the situation Shawn Delisle should resign from the leadership of the government. How would you comment on that?" The man asked, reminding Jacob of the recent raising of the unpopularity of both, his father and his party.

"The people should have the final say over who represents them in government, but this simply isn't the time for political back-stabbing. We need to put this financial crisis to rest, and then the topic of leadership can be addressed." Jacob replies.

"Ah ALYSSA!" Jean greeted as she approached by the gynoid, "please be a dear and schedule meetings with the pair of independent senators that voted against my husband's proposal. Separate meetings if at all possible. Thank you."

She then left the auditorium to head for her office, once inside the privacy of that sanctum with the gynoid she asked. "Before you do that contact some of my agents at St. Mary's and find out if we have any information on the two in question that I may use. I shan't wish to enter negotiations unprepared."

"Of course, senator." The gynoid said with a smooth voice of voice actress - one who gave that voice to thousands of gynoids of that model. "Shall I set meetings with them at the same time, or do you wish to meet them separatly?"

"Well-"

"Senators!" Before she could say anything a reporter approached the duo.

"Ling Cao, Sky News! How would you comment on the voting and fail to pass JL's motion? Why did your party voted against the petition that would aid Snactum Mesain this difficult time?"

"Of course, senator." The gynoid said with a smooth voice of voice actress - one who gave that voice to thousands of gynoids of that model. "Shall I set meetings with them at the same time, or do you wish to meet them separately?"
Jean gave the gynoid an annoyed glare, she didn't enjoy repeating herself. "Separately if possible." she said slowly, nearly quoting herself from moments before before she let out a huff. "Honestly ALYSSA, there are days I want to take you into a shop and get a complete diagnostic run on you. It feels like half the time I give you instructions you don't hear them."

Jean waved her hand dismissively "No matter. Instead of contacting my agents at St. Mary's just make sure a shuttle is prepped, I'll go down there in person. Dismissed."

Once the gynoid left, Jean set about changing her clothes into something better suited for the seedier part of the colony. When ALYSSA sent her the message that the shuttle was ready, Jean donned a long coat, hiding her attire, and left for the shuttle.

{Sorry. I missed that information about separate meetings}

ALYSSA stayed manipulating the touchpad for a moment. Instead of leaving, she turned to the senator and spoke.

"Senator Pol Villegas can meet you in an hour in his office. Senator Alexia Riba has an open window to meet in five days." She reported.

Jean paused. On one hand, she could meet one senator right now... on the other hand, she would be meeting him unprepared...

"Shall I call St. Mary?" the Gynoid asked.

"Well-"

Blake turns to the reporter and looks at her "Well Miss Ling i will not speak about the decision of others but i personally have abstained from the vote after much debating because even trough Sanctum Mesa needs the loan to solve this crisis i could not in good faith trust the current leadership that made this problem in the first place to be able to solve it and i think its a sentiment that many share even in the Jl party" Blake says before waiting for Ling Cao to ask other questions

The woman nodded.

"But don't you think, that even as bad as - theoretically, of course - the JL spending of Asari budget would be, wouldn't it be better than not having any money in this difficult times at all?" The woman wondered. "Also, the cameras caught your interaction with the Chancellor - can you tell us what you were talking about?" The woman asked.

(That's okay, we all miss stuff.)

Jean rapped her fingernails against her desktop. "Five days seems too long..." she mused to herself. "very well set up the meeting with Senator Riba; and yes. contact St. Mary's. I wish to meet with my agents there."

"Very well senator." The gynoid nodded. After a moment it turned back to Jean. "I have set a meeting with senator Riba and informed st. Mary of your wish to meet - Rie Sakai is on the line..."

A holo-image of the woman appeared - she was waiting patiently. It seemed that her assistant did not connect the call yet.

It was Rie Sakai - a brothel madam, her agent and steward of St. Mary.

"Shall I connect her or should I deny the contact?" ALYSSA asked.

The reporter nodded.

"I'm sure you know that I can't talk about current policy. But believe me, we're working tirelessly to make sure that our Republic remains in a good place." He smiles.

The man seemed to be losing his patience at the... very political answers that completely failed to answer the question. So he decided to ask a different question.

"Social life?" Jacob laughs. "Sorry, what station do you represent, again? I thought I was talking to a news reporter, not a paparazzo." He turns on the charm, trying to make the reporter seem like a fool for the audience. "Our people are going through an economic crisis, and you're asking about my mother's social life? I assure you that at the moment, she doesn't have a social life, nor do I. We're both working hard to keep this Republic afloat. Speaking of which, I think that's all the time I have." He turns and leaves.
