The Coruscant guild office is surprisingly tame for the headquarters of the most notorious bounter hunter agency in the galaxy - just a single story building, with some offices, the bounty board, a prison, and a low bar, where ne'er-do-wells of countless species mingle. Still, the Guild's power is obvious - Coruscant Security and even the New Republic garrison don't go near the place, secreted on the planet-city's 717th level, far below ground. "Can't wait to see you get mangled up." The IG droid laughs, before it moves away. "Eh, rookies!" You turn, as you're approached by a green skinned Twi'lek, scars and wrinkles betraying a rough existence. "Alright, you're all set to start out. Pick a bounty from the board right now, or have a drink first. The facilities here and in the other offices across the galaxy are open to you." Oskara, a guild enforcer, explains. "Before you start, let me just explain some stuff. 1: Multiple hunters can go after the same bounty, but you're forbidden to attack other guild members. If you do - do it quietly, or you'll end up on that board. 2: Be careful if you decide to let a bounty go - it's allowed by the guild, but your clients might not take kindly to it. 3: You've all heard that no one will come after you for taking illegal bounties. That's true, to an extent. You won't get law enforcement tracking you halfway across the galaxy without us taking care of it, but when you're on a mission, beware. Being a guild member doesn't give you immunity from the law if you get caught red handed. Plus, the various factions will remember what you do." She turns. "Alright, time for you lot to start. Hope you survive." The Twi'lek leaves, and you're faced once more by the bounty board, thousands of credits just waiting for you to collect - dead or alive. A single press on the bounty you choose, and the information will be sent to your datapad.
Yup'towem hummed as she looked through the bounties. Soon, one of them brought her attention. Verrnie Viddak, a pornstar. Wanted dead. Retrival of data. She licked her lips... it was... an acceptable first target. She would be sure to enjoy the man's plight. She quickly downloaded the data to her datapad, then turned to leave. She had information to search on her mark.
Isabia Dormar look at bounty board, behind vision of her helmet. Her mandalorian armor maybe wasn't the best one of material, but armorer of her clan made it for her comfortable and usefull. She keep her helmet on head as she can't decided which bounty to chouse. "Well... for begining better take something simple and legal, to not have problems with law. Well, what to chouse.." Isabia ask herself. Finaly, she chouse Du'ap Tee, banker who flee away with money. Reward isn't too hight, but it will be good beginnig. Also, Isabia hate bankers, common thugs are more fair.
As she waited to be given information on her first day, Eve looked around the area. It seems 'workplace relations' is nonexistent here. She thought to herself, as she ignored the droids' teasing. And as the twi'lek arrived to explain how the guild works, "Why would we let them go?" She asked, her voice, while carrying a feminine tone, was a bit monotone in how she spoke. Giving her a cold, uncaring demeanor, despite her slightly revealing outfit. Then, as she goes off to examine the board. Her purpose of eradicating corruption took priority, mostly aiming for those that used other to their benefit. Her eyes lock on the bounties for Thrax, Benedrax, the strange alien on Commenus IV, and the Marquess Valdon. It is unlikely that I will be able to take all four bounties at once. And from the information provided, it seems Thrax has a habit of betraying his employers. Calculations predict he will be taken care of either way. Benedrax on the otherhand, seems to be an easy prey. But aggravating the imperials in my current situation could lead to a detriment later on. This Marquess seems to be highly protected, I will need additional resources to deal with him. So that lesves with... the alien. It seems to be a simple job, needing only for a single entity to be disposed of. She thought to herself, weighing in on her choices. Eve decides to take the job on Commenus IV, the high bounty, and fairly straightforward request made it the clear choice to build up her funds. With that done, she heads to her ship to go to the bounty's location.
Looking at the data, Tow is pleased to see that her bounty is also on Coruscant, meaning she won't have to even leave the planet for this one. Taking a closer look at the data, she sees two likely places she could find Viddak: 1: The Shining Stars holo studio, on the upper levels 2: Viddak's apartment, in the lower wards.
Looking at the data, she sees that Tee's last known activity was getting onto a passenger liner called the Onstoni Star Checking, she sees that the liner's destination is Nar Shadaa - where a fellow Rodian podmate of Tee's owns a bar.
Isabia shrug her shoulders and go to her ship, old piele of metal and cables. Well, at least it fly so it could bring Isabia to Nar Shadaa.
Heading to her ship, Eve quickly plots in the hyperspace coordinates, engines clunking as the old ship ascends into space, and the cockpit flashing a brilliant blue as it makes the jump. Several hours later, Eve feels the light bump of the ship dropping out of hyperspace, and before her appears a sparsely populated rural planet. Piloting her ship down to the surface, the false Miraluka sees a small village before her - the location of the creature's most recent attack. "You be the bounty hunter we sent'fer?" An old hag steps out of one of the buildings, facing Eve.
After some thought, Tow decided to take down her target in his apartment. She made her way there and took a look at the building from the distance. First, she decided to get the plans of the building and security that was inside. First, she would try the districts plans, if this did not work, she would simply hack building's developer database.
Hours later, Isabia walks away from the Nar Shadaa spaceport, where she's left her ship. Luckily, this area is under the protection of one of the better Hutts, Torga, so she doesn't have to worry about it being stolen. Heading down some stairs, she sees the glitzy, grimy smuggler's moon spread out in front of her. She has the address of the bar, and begins heading there, but before she can get far, something else happens. Spoiler: Awareness Check D100: 79 Isabia notices two figures falling into step behind her - Devaronians, clad in light armor.
Isabia put hand on her pistol and turn around to Devaronians. "Did you two getting lost?" She asked them calmy and signale them to stand down. She trust her amor, but better to awoid unecessery fight.
As she landed, Eve immediately does a quick scan of her surrounding. Aiming to find tracks of whoever was responsible for the attack. But, as an old woman approached her, "Yes. I am." She replied, her way of speaking still a bit monotone. "Do you have any information about the target? His home, his size, his habits perhaps?" She asked in a rapid fire way, while doing her own scanning.
Spoiler: Slicing Roll D100: 12+10 (Slicing Skill)=22 (Failure) Quickly finding an access point secreted into an alley nook and slotting her data spike into it, Tow tries to hack her way into the building's details. Luck is against her, however, as it isn't long before a red error message appears on screen, telling her to disconnect before the system authorities are alerted. She has to remove the spike before she gets caught.
Spoiler: Persuasion Roll D100: 72+10 (Success) The two men look at each other for a moment, before raising their arms and slinking off, looking for an easier victim to find.
Isabia smile to herself under her helmet. Mandalorian reputation is good thing, it help awoid problems with common thugs. She go to the bar, where she could find some information about her target.
Cursing, Tow quickly removes the spike and changes the place. Instead of taking that route, she decided to observe place and see if she could fins something out of observation. She would have to stay discreet...
Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 62+10 (Success) Looking around, she sees faint tracks headed into a thick wooded area away from the village. "His home? Nah." The woman shakes her head. "His size? Big. Bigger'n most men, burlier too. As for his habits, he's got himself a bad one: Comin' to town with that staff thingie of his and threatenin' ta gas us if we don't give him food or girls. He ain't bluffin', neither. My son in law tried to fight 'im, so the alien raised its staff at him. It blew out this green gas that made my Lars start to cough and choke, before the alien walked over and beat him half to death. One other time, one of the girls tried to run, so it shot the gas at her. That time, though, it didn't make her choke. Instead, it was pink, and turned her into a bitch in heat." She shakes her head.
After a while of searching through Nar Shadaa's crowded streets, Isabia finds the bar - a run down, dingy place. Entering, she sees that it's got low lighting, with the rough looking patrons mostly keeping to themselves. Behind the bar is a rodian, who sips idly at a drink of his own.
Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 56+10 Tucking herself into a little cranny near the building entrance, Tor hears the automatic door slide open, and two scantily clad girls - a togruta and a human - exit. Giggling to themselves, they say something about 'Vernie' and a 'private audition upstairs'.
Isabia walk to the bar and speak to rodian, didn't taking off her helmet. "Hello. I'm looking for riodian similar to you Du'ap Tee. I hear that you once be friend with him. Any ideas where he could be now?" She asked in stoic voice.
