He hits it, and the explosion rips off the craft's wing, sending it and the pilot tumbling down into the gas giant. After a few minutes, DT hears the fire from the other turret stop, and the other X-Wing falls away in pieces. The freighter breaks through the atmosphere, heading into space.
She can barely get a read on her own craft. There's nothing else visible on scanners. Silvan takes Gold down further into the cloud to investigate, disappearing.
With the fire fight over, DT-L30 lets out a deep sigh. He dismounts the turret, heading back to where everyone is, "Fight's over, you guys okay?" He asked looking at everyone.
Loreley took her flight a bit further in the cloud, and then swung around on a course, that would intersect with Gold's path. She checked her instruments while doing so.
Meera nods. "We lost a few a men, but we're okay. Shouldn't be any mortal wounds. How about you?" The ship begins to take fire from a Rebel frigate, and she bolts up, until the Harbinger jumps into the system, opening fire. The frigate decides not to enter a fight it can't win, and jumps to hyperspace. The freighter heads towards the hangar.
She sees Gold Flight all accounted for, though they don't seem to be in audio contact. Silvan angles his craft to face her, and gestures into the cloud, where she can see the dark shape of a ship, drifting through. "Orders?" Tarrik's voice breaks through the static, though it's still hard to figure out what she's saying.
"That's a good point. Do have the ground team find out." Gailte looked at nebula. "So hiding is useless, you say..." She considered it for a moment. "Then how about a decoy? Our flagship should make quite nice bait for Mon calarami cruiser, to lure them in, while the rest of fleet awaits in ambush... The question is if the field blocking escape would spread that far."
Loreley ordered her fighters back into formation, flying past them to pick them up uf they didn't hear her. When everyone was accounted for, she made a close fly-by of the ship, looking at it closely and scanning it.
She sees several life forms aboard, but that power is low and the engines are practically destroyed. There is a machine of some sort aboard, drawing massive amounts of power. Gold Flight falls into formation.
Loreley led her squadron out of the nebula on the quickest path. Free from its interference, she reported in, 'Wing Commander, Delta Leader. We found a stricken ship in the nebula, transferring sensor data.' She sent her readings to the wing commander's TIE.
“Hmmm...yes. What could the doctor possibly want anything to do with the injured men?” There would be little she could do if patients refused treatment, but Mari was still sharing the room and they had some kind of loose assocation. Dana turned to look at the female Twil’ek for some kind of help. “Do you want to chip in and convince them to not be so stubborn?”
"Good work, Delta Leader. Sending additional craft to investigate. Escort the Netuno". As he speaks, the Netuno begins moving towards the nebula.
"Yeah, I saw... damn it, if only I was fast enough." He growled to himself, before suddenly fighting to balance himself. DT-L30 thought he needed to return to the turret, but when the Harbinger finally arrived. He breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm fine, no injuries. I just hope the info we get is worth it."
The man with the head injury thrives around senselessly. The other one looks up at her. "Fine, fine. You're the doctor. I didn't know that. Fix me up, then."
Loreley confirmed her orders and Delta squadron took up position around the Netuno. Curious, she went through the list of friendly ships and looked-up who the captain of the Interdictor was.
"Check if interdictor destroyer can cover the entire area of operations... Yes, I think that's what we will go with. Netuno will pretend to be doing policing action."
With the one a little more complaint and the other not really in any position to say no, she took a look to examine the one with the injured head first. “My name is Dannan and what do they call you?” She spoke to determine where his sense were at and if he was following along with what was happening as she examined his skull, taking a look at his partner. “The risk of cranial damage becoming permanent is high when not treated in tine. He needs to be dealt with first. Did you see what exactly happened? ” alternating between speaking to the two, she looked to see if the injury was blunt or sheer, already making mental notes for two separate plans for it.
