"So I do this just for cheap prize? I'm a stupid fool." Irleen said angry for hersellf and and give to Verne her paid for 'work'. 60 credits.
Verne turned to Kate, and laughed, ‘Why is everyone giving me their money? I may be the captain, but I’m not a pimp. You earned that money, you should keep it.’ He sighed, ‘I still have 700 credits in my account. That won’t last forever, especially because we are four now.’ The Mirialan laid his hand on Irleen’s shoulder, ‘Don’t dwell on it. I’m not sure if it’s a positive or a negative, but Kate obviously has experience with that business and knows how to get the highest price for her “services”. You want to go to that meditating spot I told you about and try to get this stuff out of your mind?’
"Alright then, consider this payment for my loan, with interest." Kate shrugs, then grins as Verne spoke about "experience." The busty blond chuckles, "Hey, a girl's gotta earn her living. Being a mercenary is nice and all, but some times jobs are too much of a hassle for what they pay."
Tiya looks at Kate in disgust and crosses her Arms. "Yeah....If someone can't Use his Brain You gotta turn to other...assets."
‘Hmm, so now I’m not a pimp but a bank? Definitely an improvment, but that’s some hefty interest I’m charging on that small loan. If you insist, I never mind having more credits.’ Verne smiled at Kate and added her credits to his own balance, giving him 1150 in total. ‘And doing that is less of a hassle than some merc work, huh? Well, if you are alright with it and they are paying that much, I can hardly blame you,’ Verne shrugged and smiled. He looked to Tiya and frowned, ‘We really shouldn’t go at each other, we have enough trouble as it is. Kate did it to help us out, not because she enjoys it. And she’s not stupid, she did very well on that Imperical base and obviously knows more ways to get by than spreading her legs for money.’ He sighed, ‘Look, I’m not taking Kate’s side against you here—I don’t think it’s the most noble profession either and I know you think it’s disgusting—but let’s not make it a bigger problem than it needs to be, okay?’
"Think of it this way. Some jobs require you to follow a guy all over a giant city, make a schedule of when he leaves his house, when he goes to the bathroom, and when he goes to sleep. And that job'll net you 100 credits. On the other hand, I can sleep with a sleazy businessman for an hour, or two. And I can make upwards of 1000 credits." Kate sighed while shrugging, "Buuut, you know, I guess that makes me a busty bimbo."
Verne looked dumbfounded, '1000 credits or more? For an hour?' He laughed, 'Blast it, girl, you must be some kind of sex goddess to get that kind of money.'
Kate chuckles, "Heh, well, its not always. But you can always charge extra for role playing." She winks at Verne.
Verne raised an eyebrow, ‘Role-playing? That’s ... kinky.’ A darker green blush came over his nose and cheeks, as Kate winked at him. ‘Ugh, I don’t even want to start to imagine what an old businessman would want to roleplay,’ he chuckled.
Kate grins, "Well, some are basic, fucking their secretary at work, to the more hardcore ones, like owning a sex slave and all that. Those usually pay more, since they'll want to keep that hobby a secret to the general public."
Tiya disrups their talk. "Hey i think thats enough. I just had a meal and You obviously make him feel uncomfortable, so stop ok?"
Verne blushed even more, his face going dark green, ‘Oh, uhm, I didn’t expect you to explain that one. That’s ... yeah, not really sure what to say about the second one.’ Verne was a bit relieved when Tiya chimed in. ‘Tiya is right, let’s change the subject,’ Verne said and powered down the engines of the ship, as they were not going anywhere. ‘I’m gonna go grab something to drink,’ Verne said, still a bit flushed from Kate’s teasing, and went to the common are with the kitchen. He got himself some cold water.
Tiya shooks her head at Kate before following Verne. "Jeez....You understand what I mean now? She's just over the top and Crazy. We need a Plan what to do now. I still think You should take with Your...Boss about The Price."
Verne chuckled, 'Maybe a litlle bit crazy or she has no shame and loves flustering people.' 'Him lowering the price would certainly entail working for him,' Verne said.
She shrugs with her shoulders. "I worked in such businesses Before. Thats how The Galaxy works. You worked for him as well didn't You?"
Verne sighed, ‘I did, and I’m not proud of it. If you want to do that, you’ll have to convince Irleen, she barely wants to stay, I don’t think she’ll want to deal with the man again.’
"Nothing holds her here. Give her some Credits for a Flight of The Planet and be done with it. We arent her Babysitter."
‘She and Kate got me out of that prison and she’s close to falling to the dark side. I may not be a Jedi anymore but I feel some obligation to prevent that,’ Verne said, ‘Abandoning her now would pretty much gurantee that.’
She sighs "Well i guess The Credits You, Me and Kate earn have to be enough to afford our Hideout and everything...."
‘Kate can make a thousand in an hour, we have a month to get 950. Shouldn’t be a problem,’ Verne laughed.
