Verne smiled at Bastila, 'Thank you, that means a lot. You were an excellent Master too, don't ever think you failed as a Master because I left.' 'We've not known each other long,' Verne said, 'But she's a good person and fun to be around, I kind of owe her for busting me out of prison too. I'll keep an eye on her, promise.' He sighed, 'You're so strong for doing this, keeping up the fight and helping everyone. It must be extremely hard... when's the last time someone gave you a heartfelt hug?' He opened his arms to his former Master.
Bastila smiles weakly and accepts, hugging her Former Padawan softly. "I could Use Your Help here...not somewhere else. And You and Your Friends would be save here and can Help People."
Verne hugged Bastila and stroked her back softly for a second. 'What if Xa'rak is telling the truth,' Verne said, 'And he has medicine and other supples at that vault of his. That would help here.' He let go of her and stepped back.
"And who says that He willingly shares it? For what i know He wants to take over his Organisation again. He mentioned many Weapons he wants to get his Hands on"
'It is all very fishy, true,' Verne nodded, 'I'd better err on the side of caution and stay here and help you out.'
"I appreciate it. Look if Katherine is ok. We speak later tonight." She taps his shoulder and smiles and leaves trough a Corridor.
Verne nodded to Bastila and returned to Kate and Xa'rak. 'No offence, Xa'rak, but I won't be joining on this mission,' Verne said, crossing his arms.
Xa'rak sighs. "She convinced you, huh? I guess that's your right, though I think you'd be missing out on a good opportunity. Can we at least borrow your ship? You'd still get a cut. A smaller one than you'd get if you joined up with us, but money none the less. Plus, we need a ship to carry our humanitarian aid here".
'Maybe if everybody else wants to help you out,' Verne said, 'But how do I know you don't just want to get revenge on Myleena and take your organisation back?'
Xa'rak looks at him earnestly. "I'd be lying if I said that payback wasn't part of this. Taking my money from Myleena's grasp seems to be the only way I can get one over on her without hurting her. The Sith still run Alderaan, and they still want me dead, so there's no chance of me starting up my organisation again, not until they've been beaten of the planet, which might take a while. I'm genuine about helping these people. Ask Vao, the bus driver, she'll tell you that I was openly saying that that was my plan from the start".
"Plus, if you want to make sure I actually give these people the supplies, the best way of doing that would be to do the job with me. If I look like I'm not going to help the refugees, you can mutiny".
'What makes you think I'd take the bus driver's word for it? You could've lied to her to get here from the very start,' Verne shrugged. 'Ask me again once you've convinced everybody else to trust you,' the Mirialan said and got back in line for food.
"Tiya here. We landed and arrived. Irleen said she needs to meditade or something. Where Are You and Blondy?"
Shortly after The Group sees Tiya approaching. Her Mandalorian Armour Polished and a coy smile on her Lips. "Well look at that. A few Hours away now we hide under The Earth...."
Xa'rak stands and offers his hand to the Mandalorian. "Hello there, I'm Xa'rak. I was just telling your friends about a buisiness proposition. I hope you'd be willing to hear me out?"
Xa'rak tells her what he told the others about the prospective job. "Verne gave me a no, unless the rest of you accept, and Kate seems to be still be considering. If you and Verne say yes, that means we get 50 thousand to split between us. I'm assuming you all want equal shares, unless you have an arrangement where one of you gets paid more than the others, so that means you all would get an equal cut of 12,500 credits, plus high tech weaponry, if you see anything you like. Plus, if you care, we'll also be taking food and medicine and delivering them back here to help the refugees".
