"Send me the coordinates, I'll come to see you. If we want to go out in public, we can just go after. I'll see you soon!" She signs off. Bec chuckles. "Dancing?" Not long after, Delphis informs his mistress that Lady Sitra has arrived.
The trooper nods, carefully scooping up Wynne. Finos shrugs. "Making notes, and examining some of the other tech around here. We were so focused on the planet interface that there wasn't much time to examine the rest of it in detail." She explains.
"How interesting. Well, after we deal with this back up, you're more than free to continue examining them." Vizelle hummed, moving toward the planetary control machine. She attempts to unify with it, both to see if she could get the hang of it, and to see what effects the small, ancient psionic energy within her would do.
“Yes, dancing. She told me she's not a very good dancer, so I offered to give her a few lessons and help her practice.” Eanne replied as she sent the coordinates to Sitra. “Thank you, Delphis.” Eanne nodded to her butler and went to greet her friend.
"When we arrive we will blockade and quarantine the planet." Vladimir began. "Any merchant vessels, orbital defense platforms, or planetary defense ships are to be on lockdown until the Inquisition can properly inspect and certify the absence of demonic presence upon them." he looked squarely at the admiral and stated. "Admiral Artax, you will oversee the fleet operation in orbit and co-ordinate with Inquisition forces to achieve that end. Aside from the Legion no one is to go down to the planet, and until the Inquisition gives the 'all clear' nothing is to leave the planet." He then shifted the focus of his briefing to the Legion. "There is no evidence that the cult or demons have achieved orbital control. This means our Standard Operating Procedure will be followed. The Legion and fleet with deploy in SkyHawks and Lightning Talons. Tanks and ATVs will be coming down with us. Colossuses too if deemed necessary. We will rendezvous with Sister Andronicus of the Inquisition and set up a forward base near the warp portal. From this location the Third and Fifth Chapters will establish a perimeter while the First will punch through to the heart of the enemy. The Sixth and Seventh will remain in reserve aboard the fleet and deploy if and when needed. As you all know the Second, Fourth, Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Chapters are on other deployments and it is uncertain when they will be able to join us. Regardless, by the time they do this mission will be concluded with our victory. For the Emperor!" Vladimir then turned to Mother Selene "Do you have anything to add Mother?"
Spoiler: Psionic Roll D100+15=41 Sadly, though Vizelle tries to use the interface, she still struggles, the machine being foreign to her.
"I wouldn't mind getting a peek at you dancing." Bec smirks. "For educational purposes, of course." Sitra hugs Eanne as she's let into the ship. "Hi!" She smiles. "It's good to see you again."
The group echoes his statement, uttering "For the Emperor." Mother Selene nods. "I'd recommend caution until we know exactly which kind of demon we face. If they're simple swarmers, or Lords of War, the straightforward approach will suffice, but with others, being aggressive could play into demonic hands. Also, as always, you're all welcome to come receive a blessing from me before the battle."
"Thank you Mother," Vladimir said taking back control of the briefing. "We'll take that under advisement and alter our strategy as necessary once we reach Lars III. Unless there are any questions, Commanders, brief your Company Captains and prepare your Chapters for War." Once the briefing was complete, Vladimir quickly found his way to Admiral Artax. "The ships you dispatched to assist the distressed vessel, has any communication come back from them?"
“Of course.” Eanne smirked back. “Hi, Sitra! Thank you for coming!” Eanne returned the hug, a happy smile on her face. “Come on in.” She led her guest inside the ship. “How are you doing? Everything alright with you?”
Artax nods. "The vessel was apparently unrecoverable. Utterly infested with demons." She shrugs. "The captain on site opted to destroy the ship."
"Everything's been fine, if uneventful. My sister's been a little restless lately, but beyond that, nothing." She sighs. "I've been looking forward to spending time together."
Vladimir nodded, "A wise choice. I wonder how the demons gained access. What was the ship's point of origin? Flight Path? Crew and cargo manifest? Passenger list? I trust an investigation has been launched." He didn't intend for his comment to sound as a threat, but there was very little that came from him that wasn't interpreted in such a manner.
“Me too. It's nice to be able to relax and just talk to someone, without worrying about negotiations and stuff. Talking to a pretty girl like you is a nice bonus.” Eanne smiled at her fiend. “Any further progress with that scroll we worked on last time?”
Artax crosses her arms, frowning, the action having the effect of raising up her breasts to make them look more prominent against the uniform. "All the appropriate actions have been taken. If you thought you could do a better job, you already had your chance."
Sitra blushes a little at the praise, before perking up at the mention of the scrolls. "Actually, yes!" She grins. "Thanks to your help, last time, I think I've narrowed the location of the cache down to a single star system."
“Really? That's great news! At this rate it won't be long before we're able to go and find the cache.” Eanne grinned as well. She was honestly a bit excited by the possibility. Plus it would give her an excuse to spend more time with Sitra, which was always nice.
“I was thinking that we could go investigate it together, since the place is not too far from Samodiva... So of course I would be happy to accompany you.” Eanne admitted, feeling quite happy to hear that Sitra wanted her to come along. “But that's for the future. Let's focus on the present and what we should do now.”
