Elena shook her head at the damage. "How did this happen?" She wondered. Elena's head snapped to look at the doctor. "Explain!" She snarled.
Pulling up blueprints of the house, she finds that it's a regular noble mansion, with two caveats: 1: Fortifications to make a direct assault more difficult and 2: An underground escape route. Looking into the woman's family lineage, she finds that, like the rulers of Samodiva, House Ahn supported the imperial dynasty in a civil war several centuries ago, and were never repaid for their loyalty. Unlike Eanne's family, House Ahn has been in a steep state of decline ever since. According to more recent records, Ahn is the only living member of her house, though there are rumors here and there that she may have had a bastard. "Lady Eanne!" Duke Chernobog smiles, a few moments later, hologram flickering. "What a pleasant surprise to hear from you."
"We could do that." Jett smiles. "I dunno, you're the one with all the cards, so I'll follow your lead." His smile is laden with downhome charm.
The doctor jumps with fright. "I-I-I... His personal shield cushioned him from the fall, but some machinery fell on his hand... I did the best I could, but I had to amputate."
The doctor cowers. "He's fine, he's fine! It's jut a concussion, no serious brain damage... He'll be up soon. It's just that he shouldn't exert himself for a while, it makes further injury more likely."
"Fufu. Very well. I'll send word to Melfi when it's time for you to make your report." Vizelle grins, licking her lips. "Now then, there'll only be one for thing I'll need to take care of." She hummed, "And that thing will be a certain Kratt Vile." She cooed, "I don't suppose you know where he is?"
So, a direct attack is not recommended. If I were to attack her I would need to make sure the escape route is sealed off. Or I could trick her into escaping via the underground passage, only to have my forces wait for her there... “Duke Chernobog! It's a pleasure to see you. I hoe you are doing well.” Eanne returned the smile, before turning serious. “I am sorry to bother you, but I need to ask you some questions about an acquaintance of yours – one Lady Ahn. What can you tell me about her, and what would you recommend about approaching her? From the little I have learned about her she seems rather reclusive and I don't want to make a bad first impression...”
Elena almost growled - why did the man, made it sound so ominous? She called the head of guards. "We will be moving the Emperor, to the Dreadnought in the orbit. He will stay there until we are sure he can be safely moved." She said to the commander, then turned to the priestess. "How did you meet the Emperor?" She asked Yanika.
"Ah, my dearest friend, Mr Vile." He chuckles. "Probably at his headquarters, or on a job. I can find out quickly, though."
"Ahn?" He raises an eyebrow. "Well, Ahn is a...friend of mine, as well as a business partner. You don't need to fear offending her, I don't think, she's rather personable once she's talking to you, she just doesn't go out much. I suppose if you wanted to leave a particularly good impression, you could try acting...forward...if you take my meaning." He smiles. "Not that you'd ever act in such an undignified manner, of course."
"Mm. Well, I do hope you won't mind your dearest friend begging for death." Vizelle grins, "Oh, and let me just make this clear." The sorceress eyes then glow an ominous yellow, "While I can show mercy to my enemies. Those who betray me suffer fates worse than death." She said in a stern tone, using her combat psionics to bring all his trained men to their knees.
"Yes, ma'am." He salutes, before readying the men to transport Carius. Yannika turns to face Elena, still holding Carius' hand. "Meet?" She tilts her head. "Do you mean, how did I first meet him, or how did I find him after the accident? If it's the first, I met him the same day you did, when the council was first formed. If it's the second, then I was on my way to see him, so we could announce to the people that we're getting married." Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: Elena's instincts tell her that the second statement is true. The statement about how she first met Carius, though, seems like a half-truth to Elena's practiced instincts.
"Please, no need for that." Jett smiles. "How could I betray such a stunner, anyway?" He gives a hearty chuckle, as his men recover. "I'm not quite sure he'll beg, though. You have to be sane to beg."
{you forgot to input the number in the roll } "No." She shook her head. "How did you find him in this chaos?" She asked.
"Fufu." Vizelle smiled, "You boys can take the rest of the day off. Choose a girl for yourself, and tell Lorena to put it in my tab." She said as if to apologize for the display of her power. "And don't worry. Being a psionic, there are numerous ways to inflict pain that no drug, or tool can give." She wears a sadistic grin.
“I see... It seems I was worrying too much over nothing. I guess I will try talking to her directly and see how things will go.” Eanne gave the Duke a friendly smile. “Thank you for answering my questions, Duke Chernobog, and sorry to have taken some of your time. I hope the tax summit has gone satisfactory for you... Please, give my regards to Sitra and Amara. I look forward to seeing them again.” Especially Sitra.
(Whoops) "I was near the podium when it collapsed." She explains. "I saw and ran to Carius when he landed. One of the guardsmen knew this place was close by, so we went here."
Jett nods to his men, and they leave to take Vizelle's offer. "I'm sure you know what you're doing." He smirks, raising his glass. "To our new business."
"Give Ahn my regards." The duke smiles warmly. "I'm sure the girls are both eager to see you again. Farewell for now." The hologram disconnects.
