“Very well... then is there anything I can do for you, not as an apology but as a favor, because you're a nice person and I like you?” Eanne offered. It was true – based on what she had learned about Sitra so far she did like the young noblewoman. “You can ask for almost anything – there are a few things I won't do, but you don't seem like the kind of person who would be into any of that kind of perverted stuff anyway.”
"For now..." Sitra thinks... "If you come to visit me from time to time, that'd be favour enough. Also, like we were saying before, seeing your planet would be lovely." She smiles sweetly.

"Agreed," Hersillia replies with a nod of her own, "I can only promise so much at this time but I am certainly willing to negotiate on your behalf what I can."

She thought for a moment before continuing, "For example, instead of any sort of direct ruler, what we can instead send is someone to act in a mediator role. You would each keep your individual organizations but the mediator would be there strictly to be a neutral party that hears any conflicts between you that might not be solvable amongst yourselves, mention the Empire's needs and concerns from time to time, and to bring any united concerns of your own directly to the Empire more efficiently then having to go through backwards channels as you had to unsuccessfully in the past."

She decided not to say aloud the part where she was considering this idea as a test run for other planets that were as efficient as Haephestus but might have equally selfishly ambitious rulers who would endanger everything with their greed. Something they could model as a "reward" of loosened reins that might inspire more browbeat worlds to produce better via choice instead of force. People were always able to do more and better work when they were willing to do a thing, after all.
"That..." Verskaya says, "-might actually work," Flasheert finishes for him. The priest for now stays silent, his opinion impossible to determine in his mask. "We'd have to discuss this with the people we represent, see if we can get them to agree." Verskaya mentions. "It might take a little while."

Victoriana sends him a message stating that a shuttle and marine escort has been prepared for him, for when he's ready to go. She's been in command while he was asleep, so there's nothing he has to do on that end. Looking in his closet, Xavier finds a beautiful uniform ready for him, more extravagant than any of his own, probably a gift from his brother.
It looked like Viktor really wanted to impress the young Emperor, first the fleet then the uniform. He laid out on the bed and changed into it, before he headed to the shuttle.

Yannika accepted the offer of refreshment and signaled her sergeant.

"Sergeant, when the officials arrive, please show them in, and then make sure we're not disturbed. Thank you."

Once she and the governor were joined by the two she stood up and greeted them with a curtsy. "Commander Gamba, Miss Light, a pleasure to meet both of you. I'm Yannika of House Wulfkin, Lady of the Sect of the Sapphire Hearth, Sworn Sister of the Holy Mother Church, and Envoy of the Emperor, thank you for meeting with me."

She waited for the two to take their seats before she began. "Word of recent events on your world have reached the ears of the Emperor, and the Holy Mother Church. I am here on behalf of both parties to address their concerns. From what I understand, most of the population have come to worship a false idol. This is most troubling news, and I seek your aid in correcting the behavior of the people and turning them back on the true path."

The shuttle flies down to the surface without incident, and on the way Xavier sees the continent sized capital city out his window. The shuttle is given clearance to land at the palace, where golden armored imperial guardsmen check Xavier for weapons, devices or any subdermal implants, before leading him through the grand halls of the palace. He's first led to the council chambers, where he and the other councilors can do business when not away, and a section of chambers devoted to him and any people he chooses, to stay in. Then, he's taken to a small room filled with screens and holographic displays, where Xavier sees the young emperor, some guards, and beside him a beautiful but slightly unnerving woman.

"Ah, Admiral Azurrose." Emperor Carius nods. "We were just speaking about you." He introduces the two. "Admiral Xavier Azurrose, this is lady Vizelle of the Order of Sorcerers. She's helping me with this xenos infestation you were dealing with."

The commander stays silent, while Light nods quietly. "I see. I...have had problems with the demands of the new religion. Nonetheless, it's hard to deny that the one they call Mother is quite compelling."

"Good day, Admiral. I am Vizelle from the order of sorcerers. Nice to make your acquiantance." Vizelle greets the newcomer, giving him a smile, and a modest curtsy, far from the ones she gave the emperor.

"For now..." Sitra thinks... "If you come to visit me from time to time, that'd be favour enough. Also, like we were saying before, seeing your planet would be lovely." She smiles sweetly.
Eanne smiled back. “I'll be happy to spend some time with you when I am able, my dear. And I will let you know as soon as am I ready to return to Samodiva, so that we may travel together. I am sure you will love it when you finally get to see it in person.” She promised. Though it was not what she had planned initially, she was quite happy with the progress she had made with the young woman. She was in no hurry to seduce Sitra right after meeting her – there would be time enough for that once they were on Samodiva...

"Miss Light," Yannika began sympathetically "compelling or not, any who lead astray from the Church are not in the service of the gods. By all accounts I've heard, the priestess died and then was resurrected. That might seem a miracle but it is not holy, rather such is the work of darker forces." She paused there so that the two might realize what she was saying. "Your priestess did good work from what I understand. She did the gods' work. But what she does now will only lead to ruin."

Finished with the stick it was time to offer the carrot. "She might still be saved and if she is, you will be remembered for helping bring that about. The Emperor and the Church will remember that."

Xavier approached the both of them, bowing to the Emperor, 'My emperor, it's good to see you again. I hope you've been settling into the throne well since both our fathers' the funerals?'

'Charmed, Lady Vizelle. I'm Xavier, commander of the Centauri forces,' Xavier smiled back, she didn't need psionics to know the man appreciated her looks and manners.

'I can't say I've met many sorcerers. You'll be assisting in this alien mess then, interesting,' Xavier mused, 'Care to fill me in on what you have learned up to now?'

She isn't sure if it was the religious logic, the threat, or the promise of reward, but both the military man and the businesswoman seem to be swayed by Yannika's views. "You're right, of course. We have a duty to help her." Light nods. Gamba smacks a fist into his palm. "If what you say is true, we'll destroy that mage for this! What would you have us do?"

Yannika endeavored to keep a prideful smile from crossing her face. "Help reinforce the faith of your people, remind them of the unnatural nature of the priestess' resurrection." she told Myrielle. "Obey the instructions of the proper authority of this planet." She indicated towards governor Perrygood before she turned to Gamba "Detain the mage, Xenephon, and help me and my men confront the priestess."

"I'm sure of that, too." Sitra smiles. "Well, I should go attend to some of my duties. I look forward to seeing Samodiva." She stands, curtsies, and walks away.
“Until next time.” Eanne smiled and watched Sitra walk away, using the chance to discreetly check out her ass.

Once she was alone Eanne thought about what to do next. Hmm, should I go visit the other sister next, or should I check out the quarters I have been given? She wondered as she slowly got up.

Light nods. "I'll do that. The miners and managers alike are somewhat hostile to Xenephon, ever since he's taken them from the mines to work at his dig sites. Apparently they've been working long hours with harsh conditions and low pay. I suspect they'll be hostile to the mage at least."

Gamba frowns. "Unfortunately, the defense force has the opposite problem. I will help you, but a good number of my men worship the priestess quite fervently. If it came to violence, I think at least part of the garrison might choose the wrong side."

"Indeed I will. And I'm glad such a skilled man will be joining me." Vizelle cooed, "As for what I have learned, it is not much. The only suspicious thing is one of the men in charge of delivering goods has been killed." She said, sharing what she learned from the emperor. "How about you, Admiral? Do you have any intel you would like to share?"

Sitra seems entirely oblivious to Eanne's ogling, letting the noblewoman get a good look at the widow's shapely ass.

Looking around, she can see the room Amara went in, down the corridor, as well as the one assigned to her. From a clock on the wall, she sees that it's about an hour until dinner, so if she just decided to wait, it wouldn't be too long. Alternatively, she also sees Sitra's room and Chernobog's office, if she has anything more to say to either.

Light nods. "I'll do that. The miners and managers alike are somewhat hostile to Xenephon, ever since he's taken them from the mines to work at his dig sites. Apparently they've been working long hours with harsh conditions and low pay. I suspect they'll be hostile to the mage at least."

Yannika nodded to Light.

"I don't seek violence against the priestess. It is my intention to attempt an exorcism. If I'm right I doubt your men will have difficulty fighting what emerges. Just make sure they know that the actions we take here today are to save her. Not destroy her."

Carius nods, signalling for Xavier to rise. "Likewise. It's been a lot to deal with, but luckily I have skilled advisors. One more, now that you're here."
'I will do my best,' Xavier nodded, giving the young man a reassuring smile.

The only suspicious thing is one of the men in charge of delivering goods has been killed." She said, sharing what she learned from the emperor. "How about you, Admiral? Do you have any intel you would like to share?"
'Hmm, that does seem too closely timed to be coincidence,' Xavier said, 'I don't think I have anything at the moment which hasn't been communicated yet.'

He turned to the Emperor, 'Did those stow-away aliens hijack and try to destroy any other ships other than my flagship?'
