“Nothing to apologize for, Bec, it's not your fault your ex made the decisions she did. I'm sure things will turn out well and Samodiva will be fine despite the trouble.” Eanne smiled reassuringly. “And no, I don't want a different bodyguard. You have done nothing to make that necessary and I am not going to hold you responsible for the actions of other people you had no control over. So don't worry about it.” She gave Bec a warm smile.Delphis nods, bows, and leaves the room. Bec chuckles at the suggestion. "Tired, me? Heh, it takes a bit more than today to tire me out." She smirks, moving into position to train, before frowning. "I wanted to say..." The redhead looks around listlessly. "I'm sorry about Samodiva...about my ex. If things had gone differently, maybe... If you want a different bodyguard, I won't hold it against you. I know I'm not exactly the most deferential woman in the world, anyway."
“Anyway, I was thinking... maybe I could try a different approach when dealing with the crew of this merchant. Specifically, I would like to try reading their minds from a distance via telepathy and see what secrets I might learn. Hopefully at least a few of them have some idea what their captain is up to. So would you mind if I practice my telepathy on you a bit? Specifically, I try to read your mind and see what you are thinking of, and you try to resist it. If that is alright with you – I am not going to force you.” Eanne paused to catch her breath, before adding “And maybe after that you could give me a few tips for self-defense – just in case I end up in a situation where I need them. Hopefully that won't happen, but I can't be too careful.”
(Yeah, Eanne's Telepathy has been underused so far. Time to try and put it to a bit more use, I think...)
