Not at all. I'm the type of person to not even know who the most popular celebrities/singers today are, much less some Italian blogger.

    Ah darn, 2nd page :(

    Fair enough.

    So what?

Oh nothing much, just not a fan of seeing myself at the top of pages for reasons unimportant, alongside the lack of context.

I think if I was to write about anyone on screen it would probably be one of the weather girls on my local tv channel, which seems unfair in terms of wealthy celebrities deserving whatever they get online - they probably earn less than half the folk on here.
Although I'm happy to use stock (non-porn) photos to illustrate chapters as it makes it easier to knock out the half-assed stuff, I still feel a bit guilty if someone who knows the actual models sees them. I mean, I reckon my chapters alone have probably got a combined view total of somewhere in the region of half a million (and I'm not particularly prolific). Granted a lot of them are from the same folk, but still with the seven degrees of Kevin Bacon and all that, somebody must know them. But then... when you pose for stock photos, you know you're prostituting yourself and you could be worse than here, you could end up promoting any old crap. (was going to say Irish Whiskey there, but deleted it just in time)
That's how I justify it to myself anyway.

The thing is, I don't think when you write about a celebrity/streamer/whatever it is a matter of image, it's not the looks of the woman only, rather it is about the character.
I mean, there's tons of beautiful girls and womans out there that aren't famous, even more beautiful to be fair, there's really no need to pick specifically the wheater girl of your local channel or that specific youtuber if you haven't somewhat invested emotionally in her.

That's why I think it's a little fucked up, because you have to think you know the person, imagine what's her personality to have any meaning.

Yeah - I picked the weather girls because I see them pretty much every day, so I do feel as if I know them a little, even though its just a facade they're presenting. They cant possibly be as cheerful all the time (but in my head they are), but if I was writing a chapter about an erotic encounter with a weather girl, I couldn't use their picture - I'd go for stock nameless, even though I would have their image and (fake) personalities in my head.

The problem with many stories involving real life characters, I think, is the lack of an actual personality, much less THE personality of the person they're portraying.

While things like mind control is a good enough excuse to throw any sort of an explanation or person away, as it is unnecessary. Other times, from my experience, however, dismiss them for more of a sentient sexdoll that walk and talk, but is there just to be an object of desire that will offer you a blowjob for saying that they look nice, or will not fight back when they're being raped.

I do understand that most of this is fantasy fulfillment in the end. But because of that, you end up with things like this, that I find... bizarre actually.

"Off to another date with some guy I have nothing in common with only for him to bust in my hand like all the others." She sighs.

"God I wish I could date some hot guys or at least people who play video games but I know the second I fuck on the first date because I haven't had a dick in me in over a year they're gonna post online about how they 'fucked Pokimane and she was a total slut for my dick' or some bullshit." She rolled her eyes.

Then she noticed you behind her.

"Aah! Who the fuck are you? How did you get in here?"

You reply, "I am the solution to your problem and I got in here by" you quickly pause run to the opposite side of her then unpause "magic."

You continue, "See, I am a man with some extra abilities and I wouldn't mind using those to please you in a way that is also pleasurable to me as I'm sure you would be."

She thinks for a moment, looks at me and bites her lip.

"Well, you don't look half bad so why not? I'll give you a try. But I should warn you: I am very hard to satisfy and it's gonna take a few rounds. Also, I haven't had anything good in a long time so even if you pass out I will not stop riding you if you're hard. So you think you can handle this?"

    "Absolutely" You said semi-confidently

I know what you mean and mostly agree. But there two kind of celebrity stories: those with countless names that are just blanks to tease the fantasy of possible readers, and those with just one or a few specific celebrities.

In those cases, while the personalities may still feel dull, I think it's more becasuse of the inability of the author to communicate, rather than lack of immagination.

I'm really worried about seeing these pop up. First of all let me say that I really, honestly don't care what gets people off and when it's limited to the realm of prose I don't morally judge anyone for writing anything, period.

But we live in the age of Twitter and this is very much the kind of site that could get "cancelled", and this is exactly the kind of story that could cause it, especially when it comes to streamers. I think that is the sort of content that is so potentially radioactive that it should have its own site where it can't risk causing a contagion onto the rest of a site. There is tens of thousands of hours worth of writing on here and I often fear it could all go down the drain some day because some jackass writer on a big news website decided to put a feather in their cap by getting a website like this taken down. I fear that's probably inevitable within the next 10 years, but there's no reason to speed it up.

While I am inclined to agree with this, and the risk/potential is still there, I believe that CHYOA is just a site that swims in a vast ocean of similar sites, writing about wanting to fuck or violate Streamers, YouTubers, Twitchers, and others.

Sad as it may be, some have probably accepted it, some may even be reading and jacking off to themselves for all we know, but a large majority probably knows that they have weirdos, Twitch Thots more so. And while there are "journalists" out there wanting to be a white knight, it'll take a while, if not more so, to bring this industry down, brick by brick, and site by site until they figure out that said crusade would be too futile to condone.

    But what do I know?

I was thinking about this recently too. While I've previously been a fan of well-written celeb-based stories, I've changed my mind about it. My current (and only story as of now) has two female celebs, but they are used as reference for the characters they play in the story and are not their real-life selves in the story. I mostly did this due to the story's original premise, but am keeping the photos up for now, for story continuity.

I've also been working on a fanfic story set in a popular universe that has well-known celeb portrayals of some of the characters and I had cast other celebs as new characters, but I've since decided to forego this in favor of using stock or made-up character images instead.

While there will probably always been erotic celeb stories, bad Photoshop pics, and deep-fakes, I agree with OP that using people from the social media and streamer world does muddy the water since we're often presented with who they are as (everyday) people, even if it's a well-crafted/edited persona. Plus, with the pandemic and being stuck inside, they've sort of become online friends to many of us--not to be stalker-y. It's because of this that I started thinking about "celeb" stories in general and what it would be like stumbling upon or writing a story about a real-life friend or if by chance I were to meet and/or befriend a celebrity. Not likely, but you never know.

I also think stock images could be iffy as well, as the image might not be what the original model or photographer had in mind for usage of the image, at least if not manipulated to change/obscure the person. Obviously, if it's an erotic photo or a pornstar photo I think that's a different situation as the content is meant to arouse and create erotic fantasy, but that's a mixed bag as well as some people seem to be more opinionated on pornstars than they are on Hollywood celebs when it comes to who they like and don't like.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Quite the opposite.

I'm glad for this policy. I'm sure it exists at least partially for legal reasons but I think it's a good one ethically too.

That's good to know. Makes me doubly happy I prefer to stick to imaginary characters :)
