Thank you, I have begun writing a thread for the story for Aesculapius, which I will publish when it gets to it's first sex scene. (Probably some time next week unfortunately, I don't have internet at my place yet and can't work on this as hard as I would like...)
Asclepius, eh? Interesting. Back when I was in a rp game, which was kind of the inspiration for this story concept, we had a player who played Asclepius.
Speaking of Ideas for the story, I am wondering which I should pursue next, a plotline for Hephaestus, an alternative SL for Aesculapius branching off my first thread, my alternative Idea for Aries, or a highly questionable thread for Poseidon*...? *(Highly questionable because the premise of the plot is that an IRL person is one of the Greek Gods: specifically Michael Phelps... [Oh come on! We ALL know that guy is something more than a mere mortal...])
Heh, I'd be okay with any of those. You actually inspired me to go a little more with alternate pantheons.I just put in an alternate option for Zeus' phonecall expanding off Zeus getting shot in Bolivia, where he talks to Pachamama, Incan goddess of Earth, and the de-facto power of South America.
Well I dont know about Michael Phelps, but It would make sense for Poseidon to be a pro swimmer, or maybe a navy sailor, or perhaps a marine biologist/ scuba diver. Hephaestaes I'm really curious about, working at NASA you said? I would hope he ended up better then when he was a god. Lets face it, out of all the gods that had it rough dear Vulcan was top of the list. I mean he was dropped by his Mother Hera and crippled as result and was casted out for it until he built her fienly ed chair she couldn't get out of and she was force to apologise and let him back in which is just a freaking prank compared ti what Hera does to punish her victims of infidelity. Speaking of which he was married to the hottest goddess of all time and she cheated on him, even after he trapped her and Aries together, and for all his trouble he is simply ruducd to the work camel of the gods. If anyone deserves pay back its him
I actually thought of this scenario where Hephaestas is persuaded by Eros and Hermaphrodite to get revenge on thier respected mothers and turn them into breeding pleasure slaves. Still working on the finer details, but it probably isn't for this story. Maybe if it was toned downed to a lighter forbidden seduction
I could definitely see that. Not all the former pantheon members outright serve Zeus and Hera anymore. For instance in my SL it's established that Aphrodite doesn't directly answer to Zeus anymore. Hephaestus could easily be another who has his own power base and doesn't need Zeus' patronage, or at the least if Zeus wants something made he's damn sure going to have to pay good money for it.
Yeah, that doesn't really fit with the tone of the story, plus I'm not really a fan of the whole "pleasure slave" thing. What kind of forbidden seduction?
I completely agree, so try this on for size: he ends up stealing and incorporating the essences of the Primordials and Titans, Chaos, Cronos, and Uranus: becoming the Arch Lord of Space and Time...
Wow, that's..talk about God Mode. I'd be okay with that so long as it's not really linked with the other threads. Like very much a stand-alone thing, otherwise it could throw a lot of the more story-driven stuff out of whack. Sorry if I'm sounding picky, I'm still fairly new to pick-your-own-adventure writing, I know each path is pretty much a different story and it's not the same as a collaborative piece.
They don't have to be I have already collaborated on things quite a bit: so if you are uncomfortable with that idea I won't pursue it, but the basic concept it that Haephestus becomes, in essence, Autochthon from Exalted. After all, according to the myths he was half way there already in his first life. (Or rather the Exalted people cribbed a lot of their ideas for Autochthon from Hephaestus...) Also keep in mind that this would be the culmination of years of writing and somewhere in excess of 200 threads of plot development, it would not happen right out of the gate. However: in a completely different subject and question: Could you make me an Editor? I would be able to clean up the starting thread quite a bit and make some improvements to the Aries thread...
At the bottom of the "Edit Story" page you can define user roles. Fill in username and select user role. Then press the '+'-button to assign the user role. (the username with assigned role will be shown as a separate line) Then save the story.
It should work now. I've never read Exalted so I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but so long as it's not some immediate thing, you can go with the Hephaestus story. I was just wary of an endgame like scenario right out f the gate as the story is very much in the world-building stage right now.
Thank you, I've edited the first chapter to remove the awkward line breaks and done a bit more cleanup on a few other chapters, mostly fixing minor spelling and grammar errors or quality control issues, let me know if there's anything specific you would like me to take a look at...
Sorry, to answer a previous inquiry, I thought that Hera and Hephaestas would be able to bond best considering all they have in commom. Vital roles, yet unappreciated, and the cheating spouses. Not to mention that Hera is a goddess of motherhood so she most likley be real guilty of what she did to him in the past especially within modern times. So it would fort start as a rekindling between mother and son then become so much more to both thier surprise. Hence forbidden romance
