A slight twitch of the mouth to show some interest responding "I am Jever a little gnome mage for hire best for anything one desires." Rolling his drink around his hand before taking a sip. "What do the two of you think of the rest of the crew Tai Hou or whatever her name is selected?"
 
"Ah I see. It can be a bit rough trying to do this stuff on your own. Looks like we have a nice little team now though. So, if you need help with anything..." After taking a sip of her drink she added, "Well, I can't help with magic. But you know, anything else."

With another swig she looked down at the gnome on her other side. "Looks like we won't be short on magic with this group anyway."

Then she realized she hadn't said anything about herself. "As for me, I guess I'm a bit of a hunter. I track down people and information. The people I find normally have the information. So kind of the same thing."

With her drink finished she sat down the glass and waved the bar tender over for another. "Soooo, magic huh? I wonder, you two know much about curses? I kind of got hit with one a while back. I still haven't found a way to deal with it yet..." Glancing between the two of them her ears lowered a bit as she talked about this. It was a bit embarrassing talking about it like this but she was sure it was going to be noticeable sooner or later. Especially working closely with someone like Arcana. May as well get it out there.
 
She shrugged at Jever's question not really knowing either the Tai Hou or the cowkin well enough, or at all really, to comment on. "I didn't catch her name," Arcana said referring to the powerful woman who'd barged into the Empress's office. "But she seems... capable I suppose. As for the Tai Hou, well... I've heard lots of stories from people, but I've learned to form my own opinions."

Arcana's mind drifted for a minute to the mysterious Tai Hou as Luna began explaining she was something of a hunter. A well sought after profession in Shinjuku at nearly all times. But the wolfkin woman really got Arcana's attention when she asked "...you two know much about curses?"

"I kind of got hit with one a while back. I still haven't found a way to deal with it yet..."

She let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding and almost chuckled. "I have..." she paused uncertain how to answer. "Some experience with them, but not nearly as much as I'd like right now." She took another sip of her drink and started moving towards an empty table motioning for her companions to follow. "I've been looking into some, passingly, over the past couple of months but haven't found anything that re-... well I haven't found anything useful yet. Do you mind my asking-"

At that moment, Arcana felt another hand against her ass, but this time grabbing it for a moment instead of simply brushing against it. She turned around and saw the Orc from earlier, at least she thought it was the same one, a step or two away; just a little too far to have done it unless he'd made a couple of very quick steps. Curses on a wolfkin isn't much of a surprise. To be a hunter who has a curse though means they've been hunted by someone who seeks avenge possibly. Hunters were excellent individuals to be friends with in this city considering they could take care of the dirty work that no one else wanted to do and it made his job easier when he did have to work with hunters. It also made it difficult when one was on his tail. Considering he does leave a trail of magic it makes it difficult to throw them off.

Listening to Arcana talk seemed she wasn't going to show her hand right away. Typical elfs. Empties the glass and hands it down to the bartender. Arcana asks to dance and what gentle gnome can deny. He needed to get the thought of Luna's curse out of his mind and onto something more pleasant. "I will take you on that offer Arcana." Jumping off his seat and looking toward her with an open hand. With the departure of the orc Arcana excused herself and rushed to the restrooms. With the door locked, Arcana braced her hands on the spotless counter and shook. Head down, eyes closed and with shallow breaths Arcana shivered, but not with fear or anger.

Bouncing around to the music he sees Arcana Gold head to the ladies bathroom after talking to that Orc. Something must have happened between them, but he must not protrude into others business his money was waiting upstairs and he had to work with this half elf and cursed she-male animalkin. Outside he sees some people smoking nearby on the side of the street. He ignores them as the sun rises from the east. "A new dawn as arisen" he walks around the corner noticing no one he disappears and creates an illusion of himself walking back around the corner to wait for his friends. In the meantime it was time to do some undercover scouting. He leaves a magical trail behind him, but he knew it was worth the consequences. He needed more information from his new friends, but also to find out this new game he is joining.

Once the second song wound down, Arcana came to her senses somewhat and asked, "Maybe we should be heading back upstairs. It's getting close to the meeting time."

At least she was on the crew for this gig, even if most of the details escaped her. With time to kill she went back to the bar to get another bottle, having lost her old one along the way to the penthouse.

After heading back to the top of the club, getting directions to the meeting point, and picking up anyone late to the party.... well, it was time to be off. It was likely a surprise that, with all the extravagance, the gang leader didn't appear to have a car at the ready. So, for now, they would have to take the metro. The metro itself was relatively unpopulated at this time of night. Homeless folk, a few stray creatures, and drunks were all that were left. The area where they had ended up was one of the less used areas of Shinjuku. Back before the wards went up, it had been the business district, with schools, office space, and was the 'respectable' part of the district. Eyes gleamed at them from the dark shadows of alleys, and from the broken buildings. But none seemed interested in an attack... for now anyway. Before long they arrived at the meeting spot. Once a JEOL branch, it had long been abandoned, and likely looted. However, the power was on, although nobody seemed to be present. And as they got close, a feeling of something washing over them happened, although nothing else. Nothing else seemed to be stopping them from going in, and getting the job.
 
Poisonhook landed silently in the alleyway. After prying himself loose from the goblin and taking his sword, he'd headed to Paradicio, missing the others by a matter of minutes. Tai Hou had told him where they'd gone, though.
Now, he was here to meet the rest of the team. He'd come by foot, even in Shinjuku the metro had standards... and security.
He stepped out of the dark, walking towards the group, hands raised and open.
"I'm told you're to be my fellows for this job..."
