“That was different.” She didn’t bother explaining how. “Besides, the rules of all of that stuff’s changed. You’ve saw we got actual demons running around, right? Well, makes you wonder what we even still need humans for. How’s that been working out?” She knew for a fact they were losing a territory war with the influx of literal supernatural opponents that they were already having trouble with a relatively uneasy alliance when there was just humans to worry about. And she was confident that while probably with a lot of difficulty, her mother was still probably going to eventually emerge in a stronger position. But still- “Everyone knows pretty much mom alone is the whole reason you’re not getting in the ass by some orc right now.”
S'ut grit her teeth as she took the answer. This was not what she wanted to test... let it go, at least for now. "What's the task?" She asked as she addressed her daughter, her tone tense.
Sasha considers herself lucky. She gets to be relatively isolated from the worst parts of this city and gets paid pretty well. Naturally, she doesn't feel that different in her new job. She's always been a dedicated career woman, after all. But as she walks into her boss's office, she realizes things aren't all good. There's a reason she got picked to be his personal assistant, after all. "Good morning, Mr. Blue." She says softly, before leaning in to look at the photos.
