Would it be possible to get author privileges for "Diesel City"? https://chyoa.com/story/Diesel-City.11921

It was a really fun one that I unfortunately got out of the habit of contributing to and I've been hesitant to try and write any more responses since the original author hasn't been around since last Fall. I'd definitely be more motivated to write more for it if I could be sure I could publish.

Could I possible gain writer's privilege to the https://chyoa.com/story/Sexual-Privilege.13397 story? As far as I'm aware, there are people actively accepting chapters, but the author himself has been gone for 10ish months and I was hoping to bypass the need to have my chapters approved when writing to it.
