Ho, I know that. The limits of what counts as bestiality are blurry. It's generally that a character with animal appearance but a human consciousness doesn't really count as bestiality, but what about a human with an animal consciousness. In the same vein, is an alien or a magic being with the exact same behaviour and physical appearance than a human nine year old considered as a child when it comes to sex? And what about an alien considered as an adult according to his race's criterias, but is only nine years old because is race as a shorter lifespan? I would tend to think that the first one is closer to child pornography, but the second one will be the one forbidden by Chyoa's rules.
The general go-to guidelines for what is acceptable and what is not is the Harkness test. It needs Human Intelligence or greater The ability to communicate with language and it needs to be of sexual maturity for its species With that said, there are still a lot of gray areas.
Yeah, that's what I was refering to but I couldn't remember the name. Thank you! And as you said, there are still gray areas. What about a human who don't pass one of the first two steps of the test?
It's okay. I've written about dog-shaped demons before and have multiple chapters planned that involve dragons with human(and greater than) intelligence.
It does make me wonder what might happen if someone did a whole story involving animals with human intelligence. For example. A full-on NSFW Lion King fan fiction. Brief skirts into gray areas might be okay, but I don't know if a whole story would be... note: I have no intentions of writing a Lion King fan fiction.
Hmmm, makes me wonder... Does a 40-something male inventor who uses a technical device to transform into a teen girl, albeit with a male voice, fall under the restriction as well? I mean he/she passes the Harkness Test...
Let it be said that I wasn't saying that in a bad way, I was just pointing out that it can be bypassed, I enjoy those stories as well. Unlike the underage rule, that doesn't have a workaround, like I said, we end up with a lot of twins, half-siblings and step-siblings in the same place. Or, like in a story of mine where I had a 16-year-old girl who had a crush on the 18-year-old main character, but she couldn't be involved in scenes unless it was a sequel at least two years later; there also was a 17-year-old character who would have to wait until her birthday at the end of the story to engage in sex. As I said, I fully understand why the rule is in place and that the line has to be drawn somewhere, but it seems "kinda" pointless when you have mainstream fiction sites, that don't even have a focus on erotica, like Fanfiction(dot)net and AO3, with a truckload of stories featuring descriptive underage erotica. There are a few Lion King sex fictions as you described on the internet, I read one once a few years ago.
Yeah I may have already done the dragon one too... Currently I have used dragons, minotaurs, werewolves, manticore, tentacles, and even arachne.
What does "human intelligence or greater" mean though? And just how smart is a minotaur? Would it be beastiality to go back in time with a time machine and fuck a neanderthal? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
On the other hand we have stories on this site where people clearly and distinctly say "no", shout it in fact, and are forced to participate anyway, so how sound is that rule anyway?
I think, really, they have to have the *capability* of saying "yes" ...or "no". That level of intelligence - being able to make a non-instinctive judgement on whether they want to screw. Unless they are a tentacle monster or other fantastic beast that exists purely for sexy. For some reason. ... The whole thing is extremely nebulous. But, even so, it does create a line. Its just a blurry, wavy, flexible line. But it is possible to clearly cross it. No sex with unaltered real-life animals, mostly, or fantastical beasts that closely resemble them mentally. That's about the only place where the rule is clear, as far as I can tell. But it is clear about that.
If I might draw the discussion back to the original topic for a moment... Personally I'm in support of underage characters being mentioned, and even appearing in stories, so long as they do not take part in any sexual scenarios. To have the entire world being comprised of people +18 just seems completely unrealistic to me (Granted many, many stories on this site disregard realism entirely, and that's okay... for those stories). Further, I'm not necessarily opposed to lowering the age restriction to say 16, but I do think there needs to be some restrictions in place if the site were to do so. For example, a scene between two sixteen-year-old's exploring sex for the first time I don't really have a problem with, but a scene between a sixteen-year-old and a forty-seven-year-old seems wrong to me. Even more, I think the site needs to have an age restriction of some sort, be it sixteen, eighteen, or twenty-one (that last one I'm not in favor of, but some people might be so I included it). But certainly I think we should be allowed to mention the existence of people under the age of eighteen. Not to just seems foolish. Anyway, now that I've said what I want to say, you may all get back to your discussion of bestiality and consent of mythical creatures.
I'm actually glad this bestiality digression came up because, in my depraved superheroine story, there's a possible upcoming scene being alluded to of a civilian with such a perversion being bribed/rewarded with sex with a superheroine who can shapeshift into animals. I wasn't even planning to go into much detail about it and mostly am playing it for black comedy, but I was still mildly concerned. As far as the original topic of workarounds goes I feel like anything that makes a character *physically* resemble an underage human, even if it's an alien or robot or whatever, is violating the spirit. The only workarounds that I would tentatively endorse are 1) groups of characters who are physically mature adults but come from a culture or environment that causes them to act stereo-typically naive or immature , and 2) adult characters who are naturally short and have young-looking faces - to a normal and relatively mild degree, that is, not to the point of exhibiting an actual medical condition (which I believe is breaking the rule in spirit). Where mentioning underage characters having been sexually assaulted is concerned I think it's best to tread veeeery carefully around such a topic and use it as sparingly as possible if it can't be entirely avoided. I would be conservative and draw the line at having a specific underage character appear at all in such a context; generically implying a certain character to be a pedophile without introducing or describing any specific victims is, in my opinion, as far as inclusion of such a topic in stories should go. As for the reasons for all these rules I think it has less to do with any particular country's laws, and more about public relations and not becoming a target for "internet justice" from groups of crusaders on social media looking for their next target.
I have two questions on this topic. The first one is about ENF stories where the character is seen naked, but she doesn't have sex. Is she allowed to be under eighteen then, or does the rule still apply? And if the character is over eighteen, can younger characters see her naked, or do they need to be legal adults too? Second, what about characters who have stopped aging? Let's say you have a girl who was bitten by a vampire or discovered the secret to eternal youth. Hundreds of years later, she still looks the same, but really she's older than your grandma, so is the loli vampire good to go, or is she still off limits?
Yes, she have to be over eighteen if seen naked, especially if sexualized which is the point of enf stories. As far as being seen by under eighteen I suppose on the context or if they show any appreciation towards her being naked then it would diffidently break the rules. As far as the female vampire thing it is a very grey area since she is still very much a child in body so I would say that would be against the rules if you said in anyway that she had the body of a child. Ultimately it is up to the moderators though.
It's definitely skirting a grey area and while it may not technically be against the rules. At the very least, it probably goes against the spirit of the rule. A person who sexualizes younger girls would probably sexualize a "lolivampire" even if they are 1,000 years old...Ignoring small details is easy in your imagination. It's probably not something I would do without clarification from someone of authority. With that said, It's not like there aren't chapters that go against the spirit of the Beastiality rule... People turning into animals, animals with human intelligence, etc. By technicality they do not go against the beastiality rule, but for the same reason above are probably in a similar gray area.
