as you attempt to attack the imp it seems to you like the air around the imp is suddenly massless and the imp smiles and disappears. You hear a voice in your head "you are strong young ones would you like to make a deal? unlike that knight who just killed weakling who tried to overthrow the government?"
"What the fuck? Where is he?!" Tregus shout when imp disappier in blink of eye. He escape? No, he can't go away. "Valerie, did you see that? He. .." Now Dwarf relise that girl didn't contact with him. He take her hand. "Hey, Valerie! Are you okay? Answer me, stay with us!"
“Hey! Get back here, you little coward!” Valerie shouts when the imp vanishes. Then she hears his voice and his offer. “Thanks, but no, thanks! I saw what happens to people who make deals with demons – it's not healthy. And I like being alive and in relatively good health.” She's interrupted by Tregus grabbing her hand. “Yeah, I'm fine. Just looking for a certain cowardly imp.” She answers as she turns around a couple of times searching for the imp and along with that checking what Robert is doing.
as valerie checks on robert she sees him somberly build what looks like a stack of wood with a dead body on it of the man he just killed. nowhere does valerie see the imp but she hears the voice again "yeeesss it can cuase illness in one if they are weak..but you, you and the dwarf, you are each strong in your own way...you dont need the power and thats why it will help you and not hinder you"(WARNIG THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DEAL WILL SHIFT YOUR ALIGNMENT BACK -1.opts)
“No deal.” Valerie doesn't even hesitate. Like I'm gonna trust the words of some random imp. Power that is freely given rarely comes without some sort of hidden cost to it. Seeing no way to find the annoying imp she instead focuses on what Robert is doing, trying to decide if she should interfere in some way.
Tregus started get enough of this. He didn't know what egzacly going on here, he doesn't like it. The man building something with dead corpes look like crazy, in ill way. Tregus go to him and grab his hand. Not gently. "Hey, you!! Stop doing this for a moment and explain what it will be." His shield is on back, but dwarf keep axe insecend hand.
"fine.....you will regret this woman!" you feel a presence leave (you are now at 1.5 good points val) you see tregus walk over to robert and bother him while he is building the pyre
robert looks at tregus and shakes his hand off of him responding "you wouldnt undersatnd dwarf...the dead need to be honored so they can visit their ancestors"
"Oh, you mean make for them funeral? If that is, so let me help you." Tregus roll up his sheffs and started move dead bodies to right place, where Robert tell him to put. Memory of dead companions is important for dwarf and he understand action Robert.
Seems like the imp is gone... at least I hope he is. Valerie thinks when she feels the presence disappear. Again she looks at what Robert is doing. Building a funeral pyre? And it seems like Tregus is helping him? I guess I'll leave them to it... She understands and respects what they are doing, but it's not really her thing – she's more concerned with the living. Leaving them to it she goes and checks on Aurora and Downpour before looking at the enchanted map again, trying to decide what to do next.
as valerie checks on the two high elves she sees them in deep discussion while downpour is resting awake...the enchanted map shows the four green dots toggether in an area no red or orange dots and pleny of blue and black dots in the distance with a purple leading them valerie and downpours peices are mixed with purple as are both golds...they seem magical
"OK, It is done." Tregus said after putting the last corpse on place. Because town is most burn down, so should be enough woods to make a fire. He garet thiese and make a fire.
Purple? This is new... Unsure what the purple color might mean Valerie makes a note of it and leaves it for later. Seeing that Tregus and Robert are almost done with the pyre she picks up the book she dropped when she went to attack the imp, then moves closer and listens to the two elves for a bit while trying to decide what to do next.
the elves seem to be talking about a new king named aodheart who has risen to power in there homeland....they flit in and out of common but its clear they are not talking about something pleasant as the pyre burns you see a man come out of the large mansion you are in front of...valerie you an tell this is the lord the ring is for, tregus you just see a middle aged man holding a book and a staff , in black robes. he walks up to robert and slaps him "YOU FOOL WE NEEDED THE TRAITOR ALIVE" robert looks furios and starts yelling back at the man who slapped him "HE NEEDED TO DIE YOU PUNY MAGE THEY ALL NEED TO DIE!!"
Tregus piped on Ir, to come to him. Ewen if bear is wounded, he is still large and respect animal. Dwarf sawing birth of dispute he decided interwere. "Hey, calm down. It was huge battle, mess and chaos. It was imposible to take capitve, and staying alive."
(OOC: Well, time to find out if I understood correctly how the stupid ring works... Also, I assume some guards came along with the lord.) Valerie starts thinking fast as soon as she sees lord Silverhand. Fortunately he has not noticed her yet as his attention is focused on Robert. She also notices other people come out of the mansion, including some guards that are obviously in the service of the lord. Then she gets an idea. I hope this ring works the way I think it does... Valerie approaches the two elves. “Sorry to interrupt,” she begins as she looks at them “Aurora, can I have a bit of your time?” She takes the busty healer a bit to the side before speaking to her in a hushed tone. “I need a favor from you. Take this” she takes out the ring and gives it to the elf “and give it to one of the guards that came out with the lord. Ask them to give the ring to the lord as soon as he is no longer arguing with Robert. Meanwhile I will try to put an end to the arguing and shouting.” Valerie waits until Aurora has given the ring to a guard before trying to calm things down. “I'm sorry to interrupt, gentlemen,” She begins loudly in the friendliest tone of voice she can manage, way louder than she likes speaking normally, but in this case it seems necessary “but I couldn't help but notice that your ideas are not mutually exclusive. Perhaps in the future traitors can first be captured and questioned, thus revealing any other traitors they might know about, and then executed for their treason?” She suggests, hoping that the idea will please both men enough to put an end to the argument – for now, at least. (OOC: Fingers crossed....)
lord silverhand looks at tregus and gives him a growl, "Mind your manners bear boy, and YOU WOMAN, I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO GET ME THAT RING!" robert looks at the two of you with what could be considered pity, or sadness replies "dwarf you are right as is valerie, but my father...well he's a full on mage he doesn't understand that even some of us with magic can be overwhelmed... as aurora takes the ring a small ghost-like ring appears around her finger as does one around valeries finger...aurora not understanding this magic walks to one of roberts guards (the lord came out on his own) and pokes him handing him the ring...a ghost ring still on valerie's hand disappears as it jumps to aurora's hand and the guards hand...the guard unaware of this effect taps robert on the shoulder and shows him the ring....robert looks at it and says "Father....." lord silverhand comes over and looks at the ring, he looks at valerie with slitted eyes for a moment then he says"well I see you have completed your mission, I do insist that you come inside to get your reward. You see robert half smiling behind him
Valerie bows politely to lord Silverhand. “I apologize it took me so long to bring you the ring, my lord, but here it is. I hope you are satisfied.” She pauses briefly after saying that. She doesn't really want to go inside, as she does not yet trust Robert or the lord, but she also does not want to insult the lord by turning down his invitation. I hope I don't regret this... “Certainly, my lord, whenever you are ready.” She lightly bows to the lord again as she accepts his invitation. (OOC: Honestly not sure about this, but with how little Valerie knows about the lord and his son she does not have a lot of options...)
Tregus obeisance to lords, because he didn't want to make enemy in them. "I see my lord. If you don't need my service, I will go away" Dwarf wasn't invited, so is no need to go inside thier home. He go to elven, to Aurora. "Do you know something interesting about this two BIG Fish?"
