Wrong answer. Without another word Valerie gets up, goes back to her room, packs her stuff, and leaves “The Fiery Storm” heading for the nearest town exit. Within minutes she leaves Tanush behind, never to return... (I don't know if I did something to piss you off, or if you just hate Valerie for some reason, but at this point I have to either force myself to continue down a path that is of no interest to me, or drop out of the game. I am sorry, but I have chosen the latter (in case the above post did not make that clear enough). I waited for a bit to see where this thing with the light from the book would go, thinking that it was just some temporary illusion. Turns out it's a lot worse than I ever imagined. Sorry, but at this time I am not interested in playing a genderbent character. The forced demon contract doesn't help, and neither does being forced to fuck – or rather rape - Grace. And all of that because of a random book Valerie wouldn't have found at all if not for me wanting to explore a bit. A bit of advice: In the future, when you want to change a character in a major way, such as changing their race or gender, ask the player about it and make sure they are fine with it. Again, I am sorry, but this is it for me. Good luck and have fun with the rest of the game.)
(ugh and now I have to give away the real thing that was going to happen later, it was just a form of an illusion the demon set up as a straw man, I dont set things up like that to change things permanently without asking the player,just know that I put quite a few straw men in)
(Well, I am sorry, but... how was I supposed to know that? More importantly, how was Valerie supposed to know that? With how Grace was acting there was nothing to even suggest that the demon was lying and it was just an illusion. You also picked the absolute worst time in-game to introduce this particular plot – right after all the fighting ended, when Valerie wanted to first rest and relax (and hopefully have some more fun with Grace) and then search for a way to earn some money because she was almost out of money after all her purchases. At this point in time she had no skills she could use to get rid of the demon (or at least check if he's telling the truth) and no money to pay someone to help her with this. As far as Valerie knew she was basically stuck looking like a man and with a demon contract forced upon her. I honestly have no idea what she could have done in that situation, with the limited resources she had available to her at that time – at least without doing random stuff and hoping something would happen, such as burning the now-blank book and hoping that somehow destroys the demon.)
(well you could have at least tried that instead of getting angry, I did actually post in the first description to it that it was an illusion, sometimes in a story you have to pay attention to details, and no narrativly it was the perfect time to do it as this would and should give valerie a reason to kill or destroy what is happening to her, and her surroundings)

Those two things made it seem like it is a lot more than an illusion. It seemed to me like Valerie had been transformed for real, but even if that was not the case – it would still leave her stuck with a demon contract she can do nothing about for quite some time (considering her current skills and resources). I guess our expectations for this part of the game were just too different – after all the fighting (and after narrowly avoiding getting in trouble with the lord) I was expecting a brief break before the next part of the plot/action started (similar to the break Tregus is getting), while you were trying to already start some sort of (sub)plot. Which led to disappointment and frustration with how things went, which in turn led to the current situation. Oh, well, too late to do anything about it now.)
its only to late because you decided that you wanted to leave the game,oh and you asked for high fantasy....this is how they are written, you may find yourself resting, but there is ALWAYS one indivudual in danger or doing something pertanent to the main storyline as to keep it interesting and if you have several main characters it spends more time on one in different places, like one person in the begening one in the middle and one in the very end. its not the expectations that were different it was the fact that you don't understand proper storytelling arcs
