the first thing she notices is a handsomly dressed man in the corner that looked similar to the lord she must speak to
the elf lunges at the darves dodging an attack from the armed men behind him, as he tackles the dwarves in front of him he twwists and quickly luges at the humans with weapons attacking him....once close he seemingly dances around each of the humans with such grace that its unbelievable that he could have the strength to actually take out 8 armed men by just hitting them with the hilt of his sword...as he finishes with the humans he slowly turns and sees the armed dwarves charging at him....even with a mass of skilled dwarven fighters attacking him he seems unfazed and as soon the dwares are an axe swing away he simply raises his arm and grabs the axes and breaks their metal edges that were so lovingly crafted by dwarven smiths...he then bonks every dwarf with a chair leg you picked up and knock them out with it.....as he turns to the one that called him names and started the fighting, the taller man grabs the dwarf and picks him up to his own heoght and menacingly looks into the dwarf eyes and says whle burning the dwarfs beard with a small amount of lightning,"STAY AWAY FROM THIS INN AND THE PEOPLE THAT COME FROM AFARE" as he finishes the fight he sask the barkeep if they had any acohol so he can relax!
Well, that was entertaining... Valerie thinks to herself once the brief fight is over. Taking advantage of the commotion and making sure to stay out of the well-dressed man's sight she calls the closest serving wench she can see. “Excuse me, miss, but could you tell me who that man is?” She asks politely as she points at the well-dressed man. (OOC: I assume there are at least a few serving girls. Also, what is the name of the lord she must speak to? I don't think he has been named yet...)
“Ah, the son of lord Stephan Silverhand, correct? Do you have any idea why he's here? Also, now that I think about it, I don't know a lot about the Silverhand family. Anything you could tell me about them? Doesn't matter if it is about the lord, the lord's son, or someone else.” As she asks her questions Valerie makes sure to stay out of sight of the people in the common room, especially out of Robert's sight. She has a vague idea what she's going to do, but needs a bit more time – and a bit more information.
"well robert over there...hes descended from very powerful mages...his father well he was trained in the conjuring and is quite powerful..robert? well he was almost trained as a full blown mage but his talent with weapons and the people gave him the ability to become a holy knight....he serves the god of pain and debauchery....I would stay away from him he paid those men to help the dwarves and told the dwarves the high elf was here...and thats tame for him
“I... see...” This just keeps getting better and better. Valerie frowns internally, though it does not show on her face. “Anything else you can tell me about his father? Or his mother?”
"well his mother is hardly seen any more its rumoured shes a sexual playting for the silverhand fanily....and his father? we do not speak ill of him" she whispers as speaks of him, "He control the city with an iron fist"
“Thank you- I'm sorry, what is your name?” Valerie waits for the serving girl to answer and uses this chance to check her out, more out of habit than any real interest. Once the girl has introduced herself she continues “Thank you, you have been most helpful. That is all I need right now, so I will let you get back to work.” She dismisses the serving wench with a smile. So, I got hired by a lord that rules the city with an iron fist, to bring him a ring that will make him his slave. Fuck! Valerie remains at the bottom of the stairs, out of sight, as she considers her options. She decides not to do anything for now and just ignore Robert. Calmly she goes to the bar, takes an empty seat, and orders a drink as she checks out the other people there, as well as who is working behind the bar.
at the bar she sees several men drinking there beers as they grumble about the elf sitting in the far back corner and the fight that had just happened behind the bar stands an orc man pouring a glass of ale for her. "So what're ya here for missy" the orc bartender known as grabiz says
“Thanks.” Valerie says politely as she takes a light sip of her ale. “Nothing in particular, just came down to check the commotion. Judging by how calm everyone seems to be I guess that sort of thing happens quite often?” She gives the orc a questioning look. “Say, do you know where can I go to buy stuff in town? Like a marketplace, or something? There are a few things I need to buy...” She asks as she considers her remaining money.
"yea sure, there are several stores in town but id check remy's general store it usually has anything you want!and well no their calm becuase thy now with the lords kid here anyone could die at anytime....hes an asshole so there alll quite otherwise I'd have to kick the dwarves out for there own safety...we dont get high elves....ever."
“Now that I think about it, I haven't met many high elves. Or any elves, really. Mostly I just hear stories about them.” Valerie admits. “Anyway, how do I get to Remy's? Could you give me some brief directions?” She asks as she sips some more from her drink.
you should see a brothel to the north of this place called the high end take a right there and walk to the end of the street, then walk down an alley to the left its the first door to your right
“Thank you, my good sir. I believe I will be able to find Remy's general store now.” Valerie leaves the orc to his work and finishes her drink before going back to her room. Once inside she locks the door, then puts on her armor and cloak. She makes sure the ring is still where it should be, as are her money pouch and her dagger (not that she intends to use the latter). She considers taking her backpack, too, but decides it's unnecessary. Feeling ready Valerie unlocks the door and heads downstairs. But this time she quickly leaves “The Fiery Storm” without stopping to talk to anyone, and without looking at Robert or the high elf. Once outside the brunette finds and checks out the brothel (without going inside), then follows the instruction the barkeep gave her until she finds Remy's. On the way she keeps her distance from the people she passes by and occasionally looks behind her even though she does not expect anyone to follow her.
as valerie leaves the inn two men leave one is noticed by many as the lords son robert....a shadow leaves the inn unoticed and follows the drunk robert to the lords manor
as she enters the ally to remy's she sees a red door to her right and as she comes closer to it,it splits into 3 doors.....one red,one green and one blue
Well, this is unexpected... Is Valerie's first thought as she sees the three doors. The barkeep said 'its the first door to your right', but did he mean the red door, or did he mean one of these three doors? He did not mention anything about splitting doors... Valerie examines each of the three doors, trying to see if there's anything she can learn about them before picking one.
valerie sees a picture on the doors on the red door lies a bottle, on the green a rope, and on the blue a mace and shield...each of the doors is the same hieght and shape
Oh, I see... Alright, let's try the green one first. Hopefully I'm not misunderstanding the symbols... With her decision made Valerie opens the green door and enters, curious to see where it will lead her...
