Anai hummed. "How much do you want the job?" She asked curiously. She would probably wait for the better with the previous High Priestess resolve itself, before nominating the next one.
Maat smiled. She grabbed a jug of wine and walked over the unconscious woman, then started purring the wine over the face of Roman. "Wake up!" She called, as the woman came to. "We have work to do." She threw the Priestess her robes and took her outside, leaving Pesca alone in the tent.
"Well, I won't lie, I would really like it." She nods, a little embarrassed. "It's what I've been aiming for, ever since I joined the temple."
Pesca chuckles at Maat's attitude, before he steels himself and prepares to go. He heads back to the corpse tent, removing the hastati uniform and donning his general's armour, and covering his skin in more of the ghostly white paint. Soldiers tend to be superstitious. Hopefully they won't even fight when confronted by their general's ghost. Then, he heads out to lead the assault on Andros.
Anai nodded. "After the current affair with the high priestess, is dealt with, I am willing to support you." She paused. "But I need to be sure of your loyalt."
It felt... right to be back in his uniform. He made his way silently to the rally point. There, he sees all of the soldiers gathered, and in front of them, just like he ordered, Flavia stood amd behind her, the leaders of each force were standing. Maat easily noticed him and nodded two Flavia. WHo started her speech. It went from their loyalty to their general, to treasonous actions of commanders and politicians. Finally, the moment came close, a moment for Quintus' announcing his presence.
She nods. "I-I understand, ma'am. What do you need me to do?" She gulps, clearly expecting something unpleasant.
Between two large fires, Pesca emerges, sword drawn and with his face a ghostly pallor. "Who among you would turn against his general?" He looks among the men.
Aulus feels the sword swish past his head, and then hears a ring as the mysterious figure parries Aulus' attack. The figure moves backwards, and throws back their hood, revealing a young man about Aulus' age. It's hard to tell in the moonlight, but the youth seems Roman in appearance. "Pardon me, brother. I encountered some Gauls on my way here, thought you were one of them." Aulus' men begin to crash through the bushes, making an impromptu shield wall. The young man pays them little mind. "The general's women, they're safe?"
Aulus looked at the young Roman, not trusting the new-comer. Signalling his men to surround him, Aulus spoke, 'You're awfully well-informed. Nobody is supposed to know we are here, so how do you know? One of Andros' spies?'
"All I had to do was find where you kidnapped the sentry, and follow your trail." The young man sheathes his blade, as he's surrounded. "Is he alive, by the way? Anyway, I'm a spy, yes, but for general Pesca, not the legatus."
Aulus brought the spy to the camp, showing him the sentry and Pesca's slaves. 'Everyone is safe and sound, are you satisfied now?'
'One more step and you die,' Aulus signalled his men to surround him, drawing his own sword and closing in on the spy.
As he called to the gathered soldiers, an absolute silence reigned. Pesca caught the attention of everyone.
