New Chapter: I'm being a bit lazy not listing the missing equipment, but it shouldn't be very long to get it back
Yeah, let's get our stuff back (partly to save Lehe the trouble of editing the inventory list) and then speak with the Sand Mother. We can probably get some info on where this floor's exit(s) are, and get some info about the bug caves to the south and a bit more info on the mountains to the west. The curse being contagious is interesting. It prevents the Naga and Lamia from breeding with each other, but it makes others they fuck get an addiction to snake cock? That makes me think this was, in part, one of those problems set up to interfere with the Chosen's journey. Now that, at a minimum, Yulia and Cherchiel have been infected, we need to deal with this sooner rather than later. While the Naga and Lamia here are well-intentioned, if a bit out of control, I'm sure there are other enemies on this floor that can and will take advantage of this situation.
Maybe a quick fuck will clear Yulia's head? Let's have cherchiel get her lust out and she might be as good as new. Tehehehehe~
Getting stuff back sounds good. I imagine it's through the fancy door, but now everyone is back together we can probably intimidate an answer out of the guards (after all, you can't disarm Lemiel!) Also we should put Lemial in charge for now, at least until we work out how to control Yulia's symptoms. I want to do some experiments later, but for now I just want Yulia and Cherchiel to compare symptoms and see if it is the same thing and if cure had any effect.
Hohoho, just as planned! Sadly, I don't think sex will really help Yulia as we just did this. Probably not a bad idea to have Lemiel lead the girls. We should charge up Sally, since Mana is free anyways. And after that it's time to head to the treasury.
Nah, we can't send Yulia out just because she's a bit horny. If sound is the only problem that's solved easy enough, Cherchiel keep Yulia's ears closed But that might not be enough, so Goma can you try and prevent Yulia from orgasm with puppet? So, anyways! This curse sure seems annoying. Does the sand mother have an idea how we could get rid of it? (And if there's a reward in it for doing so.) Any other information would of course be appreciated, too. We also like to know were Alide is on this floor
I don't think sound is the only problem unfortunately, but trying earplugs (or covering of ears) is definitely worth a shot, we could also try having the sand mother write her side of the conversation. Puppet is a more extreme method, it could solve the issue completely, but the potential side effects (and not being able to use it otherwise) do worry me. The rules of the tower also state that if the chosen is incapacitated we voices follow someone else in the mean time, knocking out Yulia is definitely too extreme but apointing Lemiel to lead might cause the tower to consider that condition satisfied. Any and all information sounds good. I also want to ask if we can take Hess with us because a local guide would help a lot.
Yeah, we were able to follow Maple on the last floor when she split up from Yulia, so I don't think that'll be an issue. I'm worried that Yulia undergoing too many orgasms would inflict her with another level of fetish (maybe more levels in lesbian or submissive? A new one for ASMR?) so I think it's best she waits outside. If Cherchiel and Goma step out with her, I don't think we'll have to worry about Yulia's physical or mental wellbeing. Everyone else should stay for the chat with the Sand Mother. As for questions, I have a few specific ones: What does the Sand Mother know about the curse? Who cast it, and what possible cures are there? (I'm assuming finding and defeating the source is probably what we'll have to do) The fact that only Yulia and maybe Cherchiel have been hit with it, even though everyone has had sex with curse-afflicted, has me curious about the transmission method. And I previously mentioned that the Fangs of the Lost Serpent seem to be involved due to them being mentioned with Identify, so I'd appreciate any info we can get on them. What info can we get on the mountain of gluttony and the forces there? I'd wager decent odds it has a way off the floor, or it maybe the only way out. What info can we get about the bug caves to the south? We encountered them earlier and they don't seem very friendly, but they also aren't our enemies unless we pick a fight with them. Our camp is presumably a landmark the Sand Mother would know of. If this temple is to the north, the gluttony mountain is to the west, and the bug caverns are to the south of the camp, does the Sand Mother have a guess on what could be to the east? They clearly have treasure, so what sorts of rewards could we expect if we dealt with the curse and/or The Rack? I think we *need* to resolve the curse on Yulia, but there might be a solution that just cures Yulia that's easier for us to do unless we have proper incentive to erase the curse entirely. And at this point I insist we take down one of the floor monsters, but we don't have to choose The Rack. (I do think we could win a rematch if we prepped properly. Maybe something like ice or oil to spread beneath it to reduce friction and weaken that rolling attack? And some means to flip it on its back so we can attack the main body beneath the shell?) But given there are three more, we could look for one that has worse compatibility with our party's abilities.
Even if we can't directly follow discussion while Yulia is outside, those present will tell Yulia what happened. So stepping outside with Cherchiel and Goma sounds reasonable.
Newest Chapter: With the mention of three possible locations to the east I just want to point out how insane I am that all three are fully developed even though in this run at least you will only ever see at most one of those suggestions... MY WORLDBUILDING IS OUT OF CONTROL, HELP ME!
If Drag was saying something helpful east should be mummies, based on names presumably the Necropolis of the Restless. But I will take all the information we can get even if it ends up being useless. I love the fact that these places are more than just a name. I'm not helping the out of control worldbuilding am I? If the curse is linked to an object can we just try removing (batches of) objects from the temple temporarily and see if we can find it? No that's probably a stupid idea. You say the poison needs to be administered every day or so, can we use that to identify the source of the poison? And for that matter removed the effect from Yulia just by waiting long enough? If we don't have a way to disarm the curse at this end we will have to find who put it there (probably the fangs) and make them tell us. On the plus side, if they are outside the temple we aren't going to be disadvantaged by the curse in the mean time.
Sorry, just to clarify, she meant that they would have to continuously repoison the fountain since the water would cycle out the poison unless it was continuously topped up, the poison only needs to be administered once to a person for them to have it forever.
Well, since the people we have interacted in this temple before Yulia ended up with the curse are quite limited, the culprit seems fairly obvious. "You feeling better? You look better, ready to rescue your friends," Hess suggests and Yulia nods. She re-equips her suit and armor and Hess suddenly grabs the sides of her head and kisses her lips before she puts on the helmet, "A... A kiss for luck," Hess says quickly as Yulia stares at her questioningly. Yulia finishes equipping herself after that and then descends the stairs behind the statue. This was most likely when Hess applied the poison. Now, I doubt the sand mother would agree to destroying Hess and we don't destroy sexy girls if we don't have to. I thus propose we first ask Hess to be our guide, an offer she will almost certainly refuse. If so, I'd like the sandmothers permission to take her prisoner and bring her outside the temple. We can head back to basecamp for a bit and check back on the temple later to see if the curse was lifted.
In that case, ignore the bit about finding the source of the poison. The bit where she got bitten seems like a more likely way for her to have got the poison, and the guards weren't there when we went back. It could be they ran off after the little scare or they might not be locals at all. This seems like another case as with the mimics, but a lot less explicit. We can try looking back at how Hess has acted to see if there is anything suspicious. A kiss is an opportunity, but I don't think that can be called suspicious in itself.
A little clarification from Sandmother, which was first, Rack or the curse? Also does she know where we could find The Fangs of the Lost Serpent?
Ehm! Yulia got fucked and bitten when getting inside. Can't believe you all missed that tiny bit. Hmphh!
I noticed the bit where she got bitten, and we've been told it isn't sexually transmitted. Also, can puppet be used to order someone to answer questions truthfully and in full? We can pass it off as Gambio being paranoid and Hess has no reason to refuse, if she is trustworthy anyway.
I'm going to be gone for about a week or so, probably will be back by the 15th, will try to continue to update in that time, but I can't promise I won't miss next Monday and Thursday.
