Newest Chapter: Plans Also I was looking at the art again cause it's just... so good and a comment came to mind. Art Talwa: "Would you still love me if I was a worm?"
The only thing that I regret is that I didn't gave her glasses Also you're one day early, so I will withhold my input until tomorrow
Fucking... What the fuck I thought yesterday was thursday... How the hell did I fuck that up? My bad...
Alright, so I doubt anybody wants to see Talwa blow herself up(she's probably too incompetent to do it right anyway) so that's off the table If we can get it into the water, could we freeze it with icicle and blizzard? I propose the following: We tie Talwa up and dangle her from the ceiling above the pool Then once the rack gets in the water and makes an attempt to grab her the group strikes! ... I'm not drawing a plan for this one!
Goma brings up an excellent point about the pool, and there's something else she can contribute: the Scepter of Still Waters. If we lure The Rack into the baths, we can control the water. Maybe we could even trap it in some kind of bubble of water, lift that in the air, and then we'll have easy access to its underside unless it curl up. If it does, we can freeze the water and then set up a pit full of grenades or something to blast it to bits at our leisure. Another, similar thought: If we go with Gambio's plan, use Talwa as bait, and keep her out of the water, lightning magic will be super effective on the Rack while it's in the water. TLDR I think setting up an ambush in the bath is ou
The scepter sadly only works on Calumia "The Scepter of Still Waters, a staff weapon, like most staves and wands it has a benefit to spellcasting, but the benefit is worse than most other weapons of it's type. However it does provide a greater physical combat benefit than most other weapons of it's kind as well. More importantly this is the Scepter that belonged to Levateinn when she was ruler of Calumia and is imbued with the power to command the currents that run through that floor. Giving the wielder the ability to turn the very seas against their opponents. This effect only works within Calumia and related floors," the identify on the Scepter returns.
I see nothing much happened while I was away. Although the idiot still isn't very bright. I agree with the pool plan. What's the minimum amount of tied where she can still attack? Actually nevermind, she will probably try to suicide attack if she can, let's keep her helpless for this one. Luring it into the water for freezing or electricuting sounds good.
First everyone should drink as soon as they can, as they are all thirsty. Sadly Yulia or others don't seem to have really effective spells to freeze existing pool of water. So lightning seems better bet here.
Happy Tuesday everyone. Well, I guess that's what happens when the fight is on our terms. Recharge Lemiel's gun, we might as well. Let's identify the new stuff and get ready to go to the next place, I propose the hive. Might as well take the idiot with us. I think we can untie her too as I hope she isn't going to try and martr herself now, funny as it would be to drag her tied up all over the floor it sounds a little impractical. I'm joking about it being Tuesday, don't kill me.
Excellent! I don't want to appear like a hive mind but it might actually not bee a bad idea to prevent stirring up a hornets nest, So instead of beelining it over to Asmodeus right away, I second that we buzz off first to the hive. But before that let us beegin with all the beekeeping of identifying and recharging. As for Talwa, I don't want to bee a busybee but I worry that she will learn quite a bit about the birds and the bees if we leave her beehind. That would not bee the bee's knees. ... My apologies, I hope these bee puns didn't sting too much.
Actually I think we should return to the Tomb, be good tourists and check out the Gift Shop to see if there are old friends there.
Oh hold on, I completely forgot that defeating the rack gives us access to the treasury, lol So, obviously we should check that out first before we venture out
Oh, I forgot about the treasury as well. Obviously that is the first thing we should do after untying Talwa.
Yeah, checking out the treasury should be step 1. Anything that'd buff offensive magic or provide it to more party members would be good, as would any anti-undead stuff. Anything we can use against the forces of Gluttony would be nice as well, although I'm not quite sure that would be. Some sort of teleportation ability in case someone gets eaten? Some sort of bondage item to seal their mouths? I'm also leaning towards heading back to the Tomb rather than the Hive. I think they'll be easier to work with.
The Tomb probably is easier to work with but what would we even be going there to do? The curse is also a problem for 3 people right now. At least with the Hive we can always rescue a cute spider girl if we find nothing better to do. I think my head is buzzing now.
Oh goodie, so many goodies! Let's run through everything: The mace seems like exactly the kind of countermeasure I wanted against the forces of Gluttony, worst case scenario if someone gets eaten they can attack from the inside with this. That's obviously for emergencies. For general use, I think this should go to Sally? She's not super strong, and doesn't her robot body make her immune to poison, so she won't be at risk of this being used against her? The Samus armor: If size effects the power, Cherchiel is probably our best fit for this. Also she's blonde so it fits in that regard too. Prism Staff: This is precisely what I wanted to deal with the floor monster in the tomb, this should only be used in certain circumstances but will be invaluable against an enemy that can only be damaged with magic, and we'll probably have situations to use it now and then. Aspect of the Apex: As long as the intelligence drain is temporary like with the boar helmet, I think this would be really good for Cherchiel. Also, the wings and such would be super hot on her. Curious if this could be paired with the armor to turn Cherchiel into a wrecking ball. (With Goma on hand with Puppet just to make sure we can keep her in check) Potion of Libidinous Vitality: My first thought is to use this as a last resort revival method for someone who receives lethal damage without the halo. The downsides are very high, but better than death. This is a much meaner possibility, but we could also give this and the Prism Staff to Talwa to turn her into an absolute artillery unit. I'm honestly against the idea, but I felt it was worth mentioning. Guardian's Mirror: Just a really solid item, definitely should use, no idea who specifically to give this to. This would be good on Cherchiel, but might not work if she uses the new armor, so I'm open to giving it out to whoever. Also my brain is trying to reverse engineer floor monsters from those latter four items given the real possibility they're all from former Chosen and have that mix of power and downsides we've seen with a lot of the ones we've gotten. As for next steps, I stand by heading to the Tomb and dealing with their floor monster. We only get the item drops from the first one we kill, but at a minimum I think we can get some treasure out of it. Maybe even their support against the Hungry Sands. We've also got a clear idea of its abilities (eats targets, completely immune to physical damage) so we can make a plan ahead of time to confront it. As for the Sand Mother being there, I'm sure we can send her away to deal with this. ... Actually, the distance between locations is much different for the Chosen than for other residents of the floor. So could we arrive at the Tomb ahead of the Sand Mother if we left soon?
This would be nice and there is change that Gift shop keeper is either Dahlia or Alide, as we haven't encountered them yet. I think maybe Yulia should get the mirror. Possibly save Potion of Libidious Vitality for Maple to give to Del if we find no other way.
