The armour sounds good, if bigger is better then I think Cherchiel is the best fit. Plus "angry giant bowling ball" sounds helpful. The mace sounds useful for any fight that is drawn out, or that we can retreat from after getting a hit in.
The thing I want to know about that staff is if the downside just requires healing after every fight, because we have three unlimited sources of that right now. A necklace that is boar mask + sounds great, I feel like I'm missing the catch on that one. The potion sounds like a technically useful at most, I can't see why we would want it except to trade with I suppose. The shield sounds great, we have several people who are quite able to take a hit so this could really help in tricky fights.

Also, still voting for hive next.

Ok, we definitely got some synergies with these ones lol

The Mace sounds great on Lri but we already have Blood Drinker on her which basically does the same thing.

I'd say we hand it to Isalia, who really tended to get the short end of the stick when it comes to weapons and armor.

The Armor and Apex definitely sounds tailor made for Cherchiel, the problem is we don't know how exactly that intelligence loss works. Worst case we end up with an uncontrollable Ball that attacks friend or foe.

We should do a test in a controlled environment first, to see just how much control Cherchiel still has with the boar apex combo. The rest of the group should be able to subdue her if it comes to it.

Lastly we have the staff and potion

And well...that sounds perfect for Talwa, provided she wants to come with us, which she wants, because how else is she fulfilling her dream of saving the world?

Oh I completely forgot about the Mirror!

Well Yulia already has the cloak of turbulent waves, so giving it to her would be pointless

Most character also have tech armor which is highly magic resistent

For lack of a better option I'd say give it to Goma. She can't wear the tech bodysuit here, meaning she is somewhat vulnerable and thus could use some more protection

As for were to go next, I don't really have any preferences, so I leave that up to the other voices.

The mirror is better than you give it credit for. Although it doesn't prevent anything, it reflects everything. So we should give it to someone who is likely to get hit a lot, Sally perhaps?

Why was Hess sent in? She should be effected by the curse as well.
Also, can we have a quick identify before we strategise?

(Huh... I somehow completely forgot that Hess would also be cursed... She was sent in mostly just because she wasn't a member of the group meaning I could just get around her interacting with the world separately from the group without having to worry about stuff and then it also just kind of worked out dramatically that the Wandering Monster roll turned out that way. As for a quick identify... Sure)

"Goregut, a homunculus that serves as essentially a living magical container, it is completely immune to physical damage and it's insides are in fact a portal to another location. Anything eaten by Goregut is sent to this other location. It's movement is slow and it moves by dragging itself around with it's arms. It's arms end in hands that are in actuality amorphous blobs of flesh it can change into various tools, such as a shield to block damage or a hammer head to attack foes."

A portal huh. I'm half tempted to just jump in and see where it goes, but given that this is likely what happens in the case of a loss that would probably be a bad idea. Well, we had better do something and at least there are no potential downsides to winning now.

Immune to physical damage and uses physical attacks isn't a great combination for us. Yulia, Lemiel, the idiot (Talwa), and Isalia have magic attacks and Goma has puppet. The guns may be worth a shot but I'm not expecting much. Everyone else will have to protect or destract from the casters, or have potions at the ready or something like that. The idiot can use the staff and have Goma heal or use a potion if required, I want to see how bad the side effects are. I don't think we have any equipment that let's someone else do magic attacks.

    Spell lists
Talwa: (really wishing we had stopped for a spell training montage) fireball and great fireball, firestorm is expensive and I don't know how it works yet.
Goma: puppet and heal as required, also should use the horn
Lemiel: angelic rays, the summoned swords might also work.
    Isalia: life drain
Yulia: blizzard, icicle, undermine, lighting strike, force lance (it might not work), and fireball, that should be 90% of her mana (100% after identify.) If the fight is still ongoing at this point, drink a mana potion and spam whatever spell looked effective.

I know I was the first one to mention giving the staff and potion to Talwa, but I'm against using the potion. I think we should should save it as an emergency measure for if someone receives a fatal wound, and we should understand how much damage the staff deal before we commit to using it.

As for Cherchiel, I don't view you as dumb, you're our reliable powerhouse. And for the Apex, we might be able to ask the Sand Mother about the Chosen it was found on? If she recalls who used it and their mental state we may be able to find an answer.

Honestly kind of glad we ran into Goregut right away, curious that it has a portal though. It seems like a safe bet that the location it's connected to is in the Hungry Sands, although it could be some kind of pocket dimension that victims would be freed from when Goregut dies? If it's the former, we can likely count on help from the forces of the Tomb to rescue their allies who've already been swallowed.
For tactics, Boodalian has us covered. I'd just like to sprinkle a bit on top of what they added. First, Goma's first Puppet should be to get Goregut to drop Hess, and subsequent casts should try to restrict its movements. Our attacks should also prioritize the arms, damaging them could free Hess if the Puppet spell doesn't and also restrict Goregut's mobility. Also, it's immune to physical damage, but I wonder if Sally can find a good moment to slip in and deal even a grazing blow to the arms. Given their fleshy nature, the poison may work even if the weapon itself doesn't. Also, if it seems to focus on our casters, Lri should create an illusion duplicate of herself away from the others and make it look like she's gathering up a massive magical attack above her, as any distractions could be vital against a slow moving monster like this.
Also, is Life Drain a touch spell? If it is, Isalia should focus on defending the other casters rather than risking using it, but if it isn't I'll be glad for that little investment to finally get some payoff. In general, we should prioritize a defensive battle and keep anyone from being swallowed.
(The fact that it comes with a portal is interesting, and I have some new speculation about the nature of these floor monsters, but I'll save that for after the fight.)

engin not even attempting to hide her fetishes with that name lol

Our physical fighters should attempt to keep Gutgore at bay while the magic users do their thing. Looks like it takes a fairly decent amount to gobble someone up, so if we keep it busy we should be able to prevent that

We definitely do not want it to do the gobbling. Depending were this location is, this might be a fight that permanently removes party members.

We should at least attempt the rifles to see if they do any damage, but I'm not hopeful.

According to the description of the prism staff Talwa now has special spell "Searing light", so we definitely want to use that one.

Also if we don't use the potion, someone needs to keep an eye on Talwa and heal her as needed, Goma is probably the best candidate for that.

I agree Talwa should not use potion, at least yet.

Otherwise the plan is starting to look good.

Phew, glad that's over with. Fortunately, Goregut didn't have any surprises like when we first fought The Rack. Good thing we handled that without anyone getting sucked in, although I'm curious what Sally saw inside. I'm sure the mummies will want to know, since some of them were eaten. As I said before, if they were sent somewhere in the Hungry Sands then we can count on them as allies. And while we didn't get any drops from Goregut since we already took down The Rack, we can probably get some kind of reward from the mummies. We should probably ask about what the mummies want to do, and also check out the gift shop.

Goregut's ability to teleport victims somewhere is interesting, as there seems to be a bit of a common thread between the floor monsters. We've found out that Yulia received the curse from that guard and not from The Rack. Instead, what I'd like to point out is that the Rack was insect-like in nature and dragged Yulia towards The Hive. Goregut is a vore based monster and is presumably sending victims somewhere in the Hungry Sands. The floor monster plaguing the Hive is an undead stealing their eggs, but for what purpose we don't know. There seems to be a common thread here beyond each of the locations having a floor monster inspired by another faction. It also makes me wonder about the Hungry Sands' floor monster, which I've assumed to be some kind of serpent due to the established pattern. We have a high risk of running into it, and I doubt we'll have a trustworthy source of info inside the Sands willing to give us info on it like we've had for the other three.

Wow, that turned rather one sided. OK, recharge any guns that were used as well as Sally. Heal Talwa, Sally, Goma, and Cherchiel. Make new mana potion and use them to top up the mana of Talwa, Isalia and Goma. And it really left nothing behind? I wasn't expecting a vial but I was expecting the standard drops. Oh well. And finally let's get Twala's spells mastered, we can skip the normal resting and just manufacture mana potions instead. I think that does it for bookkeeping.

For next steps I agree with Emmie. I want to know where that portal went.

I like how Searing Light wasn't even the most powerful attack here.

It worked out well, but I don't think we can count on always having a healer ready. I'm in the drink the potion camp. Talwa is pretty horny all the time anyways.

I don't think we have an easy way of facturing Mana potions, right? Beyond the mana infused stuff of course, and that has to come with a drawback.

Are the floormonster region locked? If so we could master Talwa's spell easily enough.

Beyond that, yeah lets explore the tomb a bit while we are at it. Remember to remain vigilant. There's bound to be some other traps in here.

If we want not mana infused potions I presume we can just make mana infused water, turn it into normal water (something we have done), then turn that into a potion. I presume the mana infused is from the water not the method of manufacture. And we don't know what the downside of mana infused is yet (other than tasting bad), if there is a downside I would prefer to know it sooner.

Paying only with blood, not cum? What a bummer! Entire place filled with pervy, sexy mummies wasted! I hope you are happy girls. You get to explore entire place unmolested!

I guess it's fair but where is the fun if you don't need to smack away hands groping at your tits and ass? I demand that mummies mess with the party! At least in a non-lethal way. Set off all the lewd traps, please!

Even if we aren't getting a reward, safe passage through the Tomb is going to save us a lot of trouble. I wouldn't mind exploring a bit, maybe meeting that Queen they've mentioned. Getting what information we can would be a good step, especially to decide whether we head to The Hive to try to work out some kind of deal/alliance with them or head straight to the Hungry Sands. And info about an exit to the floor, which we need to figure out.

As for Alide, it's nice to see her again, but I don't think we should use her services yet. At a minimum, let's wait until we're finished with our business here in the Tomb. Although maybe we can grab a plushie or two if anyone is willing to pay. You know, I wonder if we can have one sent down to Izzy?

I have a question, was the water we got way back at the start in preparation for this floor?

The infinite potions are entirely a result of the converter and "water is a consumable". If a suitable connection were spotted I could probably find some other things to make too, water balloon grenades anyone?

The only thing I really want is information or something to sort that curse. Coming back later for more material things sounds good to me.

In addition to the information it could be worth enquiring about possible alliance to free those captured by Goregut.

We should definitely get a plushie for Izzy.
