Interesting to see such a wide variety of captives. The lamia, naga, and mummies make sense. The humans as well, I figure there's probably some in the locations we can't access. But as for some of these others like dark elves, angels, and the aquatic races, I'm a bit curious. Residents of the Tower can move between floors through means inaccessible to the Chosen, as demonstrated by Goma. Not to mention the Chosen can gather companions as Yulia has done. Presumably we've got some defeated Chosen and their companions mixed in here. But this seems to imply that the scorpions have been sending raiding parties to other floors. As for our next move, it looks like we have to take down one last boss if we want the treasure. We could move on... but I think the risk is worth it. The fact that this wasp is half-buried in the wall similar to the older captives makes me wonder if, rather than another wasp, she was taken down by a queen scorpion of some kind. Once she was freed, she went to attack this queen scorpion and was (clearly) defeated. That said, regardless of whether it's an extra wasp or scorpion up ahead, they're an egg layer. We could use our Collector Illusion to intimidate them, given both wasps and scorpions are deeply afraid of this egg thief. If we show off our necromancer staff, we can say we took control of the Collector (which is technically true) and say we just want to take some of the magic items and we're willing to leave without a fight. All that said, I think it's worth at least heading towards the treasure chamber and seeing who this last boss is.
Well, well. I vote to check out the tunnel. I smell sexy stuff and there is no way I'm passing up on opportunity to see some big hot bitch.
I imagine that will be the last remnants of the Scorpions. The Queen should have at least some sort of guard that wouldn't immediately fold against the Wasps. Well, turning back now would be obviously very lame, so lets keep going
Anything that can just embed something in a wall is physically strong, it is an egg layer of some kind so probably not an outside force, thus I agree it is a scorpion queen or something like that. How are these eggs fertilised? Perhaps male scorpions are somehow different? I don't feel like this is something we can talk our way out of, I'm in favour of keeping the element of surprise.
Yaaay! Here we gooo! Finally some good fuckin food. Freaking licks up those scorpion abs. This is going to be a proper catfight. Oh? Combat tips? Erm.. I heard that screaming gets off scorpions off. Just scream as you get stuffed full of eggs and so they violate and implant you faster! Tehehehe!!
Well, so much for keeping the element of surprise. At least it is a level fight. We should probably assume the worst, and I'm a little worried about cave ins. Blizzard should be safe so start with that, then add undermine, and energise everyone else. Then attack with the plasma rifles (should be plenty of charge) and the full range of attack magic. Drink mana potions as required. I don't think there is a good reason to keep this one alive so full attack mode with the zombies, although if she runs away call them off. Lri should go invisible, she will be able to see through it but you can use that to provide someone else with an opening. Needless to say, don't overextend, this would be a very silly way to get killed. Goma can use the horn and try stopping her with puppet, it might slow her down. Otherwise everyone can get out the plasma rifles and just gun her down. Maybe not Sally (who can also hit her with poison) and Cherchiel (although she has a plasma sword), someone needs to stop her for attacking the more vulnerable members. That sounds good, hopefully it's overkill but we can get a lot of power without using anything non-renwable. Oh, and if she wants to run, let her, but she doesn't seem the type.
That sounds good. Though, we should keep her occupied with the zombies foremost and avoid letting her attack freely living melee fighters. So that she does not get a change to try to do the same as she did to the wasp earlier to one of them. Also stay clear of the walls if at all possible.
Well, looks like there's no avoiding a fight here. I don't think I have anything to add besides the fact that Sally should be the primary tank in this fight due to her being immune to poison, and anyone off the front line should keep an eye out for scorpion reinforcements.
Just as delusional as the rest of the scorpions it seems There's probably more of these hunters around, so make sure to keep an eye out. Yulia: Use identify on the hunter, then undermine her and energize the group. Use spells as needed, mana is of no consequence, keep an eye out for everyone that may need a cure Cherchiel: We probably don't need the boar mask for this. Just go for good old fashioned close quarter combat Goma: Sound the horn and then use puppet on Beck. Would be fun if we could just get her to submit like that. Isalia, Lri and Maple: I want all three off you to be on guard duty. Sounds perhaps a tad excessive but this will almost certainly not be a straightforward fight. Lemiel: We are kinda low on undead servants but eh, send the ones you have in and see how Beck handles them. After that hit the enemy with angelic rays. Hang back otherwise in case we need you to deal with any ambush Sally: I doubt your poison will be very useful here but I still like you to be backup for Cherchiel. You two should be more then a match for her. Talwa: I like you to cast magic armor on everyone. We might have need of your AOE spells and in this close quarters our own units might need some protection. You're our trump card, in case we are suddenly beset by a horde of angry bugs torch them with Firestorm. If all else fails, Searing Light. Mana is no object. If we could I would like to keep Beck alive. She sounds pretty useful and our harem of various monstergirls is lacking a scorpion.
Well, the bad news is that Yulia and Cherchiel are hurt and the scorpions got away with some of the best equipment here. The good news is that they didn't abduct any of our party, we still have most of the treasure, and Beck as well. Taking care of Cherchiel and Yulia is the top priority. We've got healing kits, I think one should be able to fix up Yulia, and then we can use magic to fix up Cherchiel. Step two should be Identifying and Looting. We've been through this song and dance before. Some of the best stuff probably went with the scorpions, but let's see what we can get that's still here. As for Beck: There are two ways this can go. You've seen what our Puppet spell can make you do. What you haven't seen is how much some of the other Voices enjoy dishing out punishments. But I think we can work out a compromise. You're a warrior and want to challenge strong opponents, right? We're about to move onto the Tower's top floor, and we'll have to fight some of the most powerful beings in the entire Tower when we do. Work with us willingly, as an ally, and you'll get to face those same tough enemies. You'll get to prove yourself against forces you couldn't imagine on your own. The alternative is... well I'm sure some of the other Voices will be happy to come up with some other ways for you to be useful to us.
That was not the issue I was expecting. Yay for unlimited consumables, all issues are at worst short lived. I agree with Emmie, heal, loot, and maybe negotiate.
That gave us more trouble then expected. Alright let's get healed up. Can we get Yulia to drink a cure potion?. After that she can cure Cherchiel I can't believe these scorpions stole most of our treasure, bah! Let's see what's left. As for Becky. I don't trust her. She is a trickster for one and she can burrow herself in the ground. If we take her with us like this she can ditch us at any moment. We could of course just kill her and make her reanimated corpse fight for us, but that is so uncivilized. I have another proposal. "The Potion of Libidinous Vitality, imbibing this potion grants a permanent status effect. The imbiber heals from all injuries immediately, but in return they become more and more horny as they heal injuries. Also gives or increases the level of the masochism Fetish," the spell returns. We have her drink this. Then engage in a bit of pain love making. If after that, she still wants to leave, she's free to go.
Good on Lri for establishing her dominance as the superior ambusher. Considering we gave Beck the chance to A. Not fight us and let us loot and leave in peace and B. Cooperate willingly, anything that happens is on her. For the items... given it covers the eyes, I don't know if we should give the gimp suit to anyone. The Conqueror's Promise seems like it'd be great if you had the time to invest in building it up properly, but that initial stat reduction doesn't seem viable given how close we are to the end. Ring of Clear Mind 2 might be good on Talwa since she's the most likely to run out of mana in the party. The axe should go to Lemiel, she's one of the only two in the party who can use it, and she'll probably get some good use out of it after the adventure is over. Maybe replace Isalia's shield with this fucked up new one? Depending on the specifics of how the absorption occurs, there's probably a sick combo between Goma's Puppet and this shield.
The gimp suit could be good if the user can still see. I'm not sure how useful the effect is, and I'm not sure who to give it to anyway. Conquerer's promise might need too much time and getting defeated is already rough enough, considering we can fully restore at any time I don't think it offers enough. Ring of Use Less Mana, I think this would be good on Lemiel (unless there is some issue with that). Her mana is the limiting factor on the number and control of the zombies and Twala already can fire everything with just her normal stock. The axe is going to be mostly useless (unless we meet more tower below) but I vote give it to Cherchiel, she is already established as a front line fighter and Lemiel usually will need to look after the zombies and sometimes add magic. The wall of sacrifice worries me, but identify has proved good so far so we should look to use it. I think Cherchiel again for basically the same reasons, passing her shield onto Isalia. Also, how good is Beck's spear or do we need to make a better one? What does blood drinker do again? I'm starting to think we need an encyclopedia of identify information. Next up, I want to do the hungry sands. That axe feels built for it and we have extra people and an army. I'm sure we can take it and it'll let us get even more potential power for the last floor.
There is one thing the axe would be useful, going to the Hungry Sands. That would allow us to get the fucked up shield fed as well.
I actually did just that because yeah it's needed lol. It's not a complete list since I only started this on floor seven but most of the new stuff is on it. The red tinged sword: "Blood Drinker, a sword that upon cutting a foe heals the wielder and applies a debuff to the injured target in the form of a bleeding wound that will not stop bleeding until healed via magical means" Anyways, glad we got Becky on our team and found a use for that potion! Since we have only one floor left you might even get lucky and end this without becoming a complete bimbo. Anyways lets take a look at the loot shall we? Gimp suit Since Health is pretty much completely useless I really have no idea how we could make use of that thing. At first I thought we could pull off a cool Synergy with Becky but yeah, useless. Conqueror's Promise Ok, this is either completely worthless or overpowered as fuck. The reason I'm saying this is because it doesn't specify what "fight" means, could we just have two of the girls mud wrestle and the winner ends up with the increase? I doubt it, but since Becky having HP is pointless and she has zero Mana in the first place, I'd say we give the necklace to her and have her do a sparring match against one of the girls. Let's try mudwrestling against Yulia, she should be able to pull a win off there. Our second ring of clear mind should go to Lemiel, being able to control more undead servants sounds pretty great and she also has some other spells that could profit from that. We can always change the setup if needed, but since Mana isn't really a problem I think this is our best option The Axe, well until we actually fight a Demon I doubt anyone wants to wield this, so lets put it in the bag for now The tower shield appears to be a second mirror shield but worse, I doubt our angels are too keen on wearing that thing and Sally already has the mirror shield. Do we have the thing equipped for the absorption to work or is it an after battle thing? For now I believe we should keep it in the bag and try it out once the opportunity arises. I'm still for leaving the floor. I have a bad feeling about the hungry sands and our only casualty so far happened on the hands of a demon. These things don't fuck around. Also in case anybody's interested, here's my item list Encyclopedia of items "The Cloak of Turbulent Waves, a cloak that grants the wearer immunity from ranged attacks, both magical and physical. This only works against projected attacks however, something like a whip will not be affected, but arrows, bullets, javelins and magical bolts or beams will be," is returned in regards to the Siren Queen's cloak. "The Veil of Hidden Depths, a veil that grants it's wearer the ability to become invisible. While invisible any interaction made against another creature will break the invisibility be it physical, magical or even just an intended gesture such as blowing a kiss or winking at someone. Attempting to speak also breaks invisibility," "The Blade of Envy, a demonic heirloom. Levateinn's prized weapon, given only to those she trusts. It is a powerful blade on it's own. Comparable to the highest quality swords, but it's true worth is in it's enchantment. With focus the wielder can force the envious thoughts of someone to boil over, often turning them against their comrades. Even the most simple and inauspicious bits of envious desire can be forced into a traitorous rage. The blade's only downside is it has no effect on those who feel absolutely no envy and the wielder has no control over the actions of the affected once the affect takes place. The result can be... detrimental to the user, the demonic taint of the weapon causes the wielder to experience increased envy as well, though not as much as the spell on the blade infers to the target," "The Scepter of Still Waters, a staff weapon, like most staves and wands it has a benefit to spellcasting, but the benefit is worse than most other weapons of it's type. However it does provide a greater physical combat benefit than most other weapons of it's kind as well. More importantly this is the Scepter that belonged to Levateinn when she was ruler of Calumia and is imbued with the power to command the currents that run through that floor. Giving the wielder the ability to turn the very seas against their opponents. This effect only works within Calumia and related floors," the identify on the Scepter returns. "Binding Bandages, a strip of bandage, specially enchanted to make breasts flatter. Worn alone they have the effect of reducing breast size by about two cup sizes, worn under other clothing or armor, the effect is doubled. They have no other effect and using them is somewhat uncomfortable. They have no effect on men or women with already flat chests, breasts under C cups will be vanished completely, but will return to normal once removed." "I guess that could be useful, at the very least I'd be able to experience what having more normal sized breasts would be like," Yulia mutters. "Golden Bangles, purely decorative bangles designed to go around a fish tail, they have some minor magic, but it's only effect is to allow them to remain in place when put on. Without a fish tail you could maybe wear it around your waist, but it would be detrimental to wear it around your legs," the identify returns for the bangles. "Silk Gloves, fine silk gloves custom made for the Mermaid Goddess, they have no special properties, but are very finely made and extremely smooth and soft to the touch. Being fondled by a hand wearing these would feel like being fondled by a cloud," the identify returns and Yulia looks a little concerned. "Black Heavy Armor, a set of heavy plate mail, despite it's more intimidating colour and design, it is only as effective as normal heavy armor and has no special enchantments or effects," the spell returns. "Even if they are magic in some way, unless the effect is amazing there's no way I'm wearing someone else's used bikini bottoms," she grumbles as she casts identify. "Black bikini bottoms, the partner top is missing, possibly still somewhere in the Queen's chambers. There is still a slight hint of the smell of her on them. A pervert might be interested in acquiring the used underwear of important women in the Tower," the spell returns and Yulia shivers. The Dome Helmet: "Fishbowl of Illusions, when worn it gives the wearer access to a magic spell that they cannot learn or retain while the helmet is not worn. The spell is as follows: "Illusion, Mastered, cost: 10% create an illusion of any object or person, the illusion cannot move, speak and is not solid, but opponents who do not have a specific ability to see through illusions will believe it to be real unless proven otherwise."\ The red tinged sword: "Blood Drinker, a sword that upon cutting a foe heals the wielder and applies a debuff to the injured target in the form of a bleeding wound that will not stop bleeding until healed via magical means" "Tech Bodysuit, a suit designed for comfort and protection. It's material is specially made to provide protection from temperature changes as well as energy weaponry such as stun guns. It provides no protection against physical damage and is easily torn or damaged by physical attacks. It uses special mass redistribution methods to streamline the wearer's body, ensure a proper fit and allow for enhanced maneuverability and flexibility, similar to if one was wearing no clothing at all. This specific version of the suit was designed to fit a Felis wearer, but while too big a difference would render it unusable, it should fit most forms and sizes and of course it makes the wearer look absolutely stunning. Also contains magic suppression tech that will protect against any manner of spell cast on the wearer and also render the wearer incapable of casting magic," the spell returns. "Tech Armor, armor plating made out of high tech metals, provides excellent defense against physical damage and can be worn over tight, unarmored clothing. The visor also contains a breathing and filter apparatus that protects against inhalant weaponry such as poison or aphrodisiac gas. It was designed for a Felis wearer, but other than including a superfluous tail hole and ears this should have no effect on non-felis wearers. Combined with a tech bodysuit for full protection. Armor currently has room for three tech upgrades," the spell returns. "Demonic Dress, designed to exacting specification by The Archdemon of Lust's personal Tailor Chiremon. It is warded to provide physical protection on par with heavy plate armor, has enchantments to increase the health and mana of the wearer, nearly doubling both. It also has enchantments to increase all of the wielders fetishes and put them into a constant state of arousal. There is also an enchantment that slowly alters the wearer into a demon each time they have an orgasm while wearing the outfit. It is also enchanted to only be wearable by Cherchiel. A message is attached, 'a sign of my gratitude for leaving a space open for me" from the new Archdemon of Lust," the spell returns. "Plasma Rifle, uses energy to superheat a standard bullet into plasma and then fire it. Capable of easily destroying machines or organic life. Takes a lot of energy to use, on this current floor, Maple has patched it into the energy systems that run the floor, which Sally could not turn off without also deactivating many of her own necessary processes allowing you free use of the weapons, on another floor an alternate power source, such as mana will be needed instead to power the weapon. There is nothing that has a physical form that won't be at least somewhat harmed by a bolt of plasma shot at it's form," the spell returns. "Mark IV targeting helmet. While worn automatically identifies hostile entities, increases accuracy with ranged weaponry and ranged spells, allows targeting of some normally untargetable entities with target spells," the helmet returns. "Rail Assisted handbow. designed to fire crossbow bolts at high speed, penetrates most armor, shields or hard carapaces with ease. Attempting to fire anything from the bow other than the bolts it was designed for can cause major injury to user," the rail gun returns. "A basic quiver holding ten crossbow bolts" the identify spell returns for the quiver and the bolts. "The Needle Mace, a somewhat awkward weapon it is nevertheless extremely potent owing to it's secondary characteristic. While hitting someone with it might hurt them, it's not as effective as a normal bludgeoning weapon, however hitting someone with this weapon will also afflict them with a deadly poison. The weapon will poison any suitable target upon hitting and hitting the same target repeatedly will increase the potency of the poison. A weapon that deals little direct damage, but nevertheless kills without fail," the spell returns. "The Carapace Armor, a suit of plate style armor made from the interlocked scales of the Rack. Provides full coverage and good defense, however it's real power is in it's miraculous ability to allow the wearer to roll up into a ball at which point they are both completely immune from damage and able to use the Rack's own rolling charge attack. Of course the size of the wearer affects the size and therefore effectiveness of the charging sphere," the spell returns. "The Prism Staff, a magical staff that drains the wielders life in order to empower their spell casting ability, doubles the potency of Offensive Magics and grants access to the spell Searing Light,"it returns. Yulia explains what it said and Lemiel gingerly puts it back in the chest. "Aspect of the Apex, grants the wearer increased physical strength, but drains their intelligence, making them akin to a feral beast, also causes the wearer to grow a thick spiky tail, large wings, fangs and claws," it returns. "The Potion of Libidinous Vitality, imbibing this potion grants a permanent status effect. The imbiber heals from all injuries immediately, but in return they become more and more horny as they heal injuries. Also gives or increases the level of the masochism Fetish," the spell returns. "The Guardian's Mirror, a shield that reflects any damage or magical effect back to the one who produced it, however while it does reflect the damage or effect, it does not in fact prevent all of the damage or effect from also effecting the wielder," the spell returns. latex gimp suit with an open chest, crotch and mouth, but otherwise fully latex covered including the eyes, "this is the Gimp Suit apparently. It increases the wearers combat prowess as long as their mana is below 50% and changes all health damage to mana damage," Yulia explains. Conqueror's Promise apparently. It gives an improving buff to health and mana for every fight the wearer wins, the buff resetting any time the wearer loses and it halves health and mana permanently when first worn," she continues. "this is another ring of clear mind... It doesn't have the warding effect of the one we got from the Old Mind, but it has the same base ability to halve mana costs, unfortunately it apparently does not stack," executioner's axe with a vibrantly glowing blade and Lemiel gasps, "this is The Weight of Righteous Justice... An angelic weapon, probably belonged to one of the unfortunate angels we saw back in the nest. It's a weapon that increases in effectiveness based on it's opponent.... According to the identify spell, what this really means is that it does extremely high damage to beings from or related to the Tower Below, but is almost useless against anything else... Also it can only be wielded by angels or those who are marked by the Tower Above," a tower shield with a picture of the Abyss on it (A simple hole with tentacles emerging) the tentacles move on the face of the shield, "this is the wall of sacrifice... Apparently, it can absorb defeated opponents to strengthen itself somehow... The identify spell warned that this would kill those absorbed, but that if it absorbs even one opponent it will become able to turn away basically any attack,"
