The Tower of Voices Voting Thread

I think its pretty great to have the calculations, but I agree they have to be put at the end

I swear there must be some magic curse on the floor boss that makes you mindlessly traverse floors the moment the boss is defeated. Obviously you should have rested first.

Yes, I do believe the state of Boarchiel is important. Did you feel like the mask had a stronger effect on you this time around, or was it roughly the same as last time?

There actually legit is and it was hinted as much on the very first floor. Beating the floor boss, compels the chosen to move forward.

Hmmm, friendly Arachne? Not unheard of (especially with the stories I've read recently), but that is not the norm. Be careful.

That being said... Hi Nylax! A warm welcome is always appreciated, thank you. Could you share some more information about these caves? Are the denizens of this place like yourself? What do the statues look like or represent? Is there a town? Who or what is the Knocker?

So Goma, you've been here before? What's down here and what was your past experience in this place?

That was a more pleasant start then expected.

I assume the knocker will be the floor monster this time around, but we should definitely use this opportunity to ask some questions before venturing further

Nylax appears to be the name of some New York stock fund...and also a Laxative. Make of that what you will.

All good, hope you feel better soon!

Thank you for the information Nylax, even the last bit.

I'm not sure the town is the best for us if we're literally glowing... Even if the connection is old, there are probably some that still have ties to the Tower Below. But if they traded with the Goblins then perhaps I'm just being parenoid.

Is there any other paths here we could take or just the tunnel? If we do go into town we should be very cautious. Also, Knocker seems like something we should take out immediately if possible. The longer we're here the more schemes it could plan.

eh I'm sure we can deal with some light deficient elves.

I'd say we head towards town, seems to be the only way right now anyways.

Knocker seems to be an interesting opponent this time around, I doubt he will make it as easy as just appearing before us, but if we do have the opportunity we should definitely take him out.

lots of option indeed

quick question for map making purposes:

Will this floor chiefly take place in the city?

I will give my regular input tomorrow

No the city is just a very large rest area with some extra things to do. The floor is much bigger than just the city.

Also for map making purposes, I didn't give directions for the tunnels simply where they were attached to, the Lower Aresque Tunnel heads chiefly right from the city, Middle Aresque Tunnel goes chiefly straight from the city and Upper Aresque Tunnel goes chiefly left, but there will be some slight deviation that I will note if those tunnels are explored.

Nope, getting rid of Dreg everytime... Hell, he might be the Knocker.

Alright so I say we check out our workshops first to see if they gave us supplies or if the blacksmith knows where more materials are. Guessing later. Areas are outside of town, though keep an eye out for them anyway.

I then say we should actually visit this museum. Information is the best weapon, so anything we could learn about the area or Tower Below would be a great benefit.

sounds good to me. I think we definitely should spend a whie in Aresque before moving on. There is a decent chance Alide and Dahlia are here as well.

For now lets go with the workshops then museum plan and see what comes of it

Got it, so Liloth has a high chance of being the Knocker. We may have a chance to learn more of our opponent before we fight. We need more Knowledge! Back to the museum. I think all the subjects are important if you want to complete all the museum tours in one go... Assuming nothing weird happens.

Explody Fire balls is a priority for Goma since webs are very flammable. Another fire source like a torch would work as well.

As for Martin... I'm not quite sure. Goma has armor, could use a ranged weapon like a sling. Cherchiel is pretty stacked so probably doesn't need more yet. Yulia has her rapier and spells, but could use an armor upgrade so maybe that's best?

This tower seems to get more intricate with every floor, both in its layout and backstory.

Explodey fire balls is my choice as well. Seems to work excellent in a pinch, so lets go with that one.

As for upgrades, a ranged weapon for Goma would be nice, but I don't think we get the best mileage out of that one. So i'm for armor. We already established that the top armor isn't useful for Yulia, so I'd say we just reinforce her outfit for four ingots.

Actually, do Ingots carry over from floor to floor? I imagine so, but it's probably better to ask.

Little reason to stop our history lesson here. So lets gain some more information

From what we learned so far, deception seems the name of the game for this floor. Which is rather ironic giving how nice everyone we met has been. Still, we need to keep our guard up even more then on the other floors.

Great stuff! Where are the Mind Eaters located so we can be extra cautious? I would have said we lucked out with the creatures not being the worst Cave ecology could be... But Mind Eaters are kind of the worst thing in general to encounter, though these ones don't seem as powerful...

Ok, so watch out for all creatures. Plants are safe, but water is bad. Knocker is not Liloth it seems. Question is now where do we go, exploring every room might be a poor decision this time.

The dwarves are by far the safest option, so their keep might be a good start to our exploration. Other than that the Ascension path is just calling to me for some reason...

So we could side with the Tower Above? Interesting that we now know that the two other towers mess with and fight in the main Tower. And both God's are tentacle monsters in some capacity, unless that was the abyss in hiding. Making both Towers our enemy is a sure way to be defeated, and we already sided with an angel.
