    Newest Post: Mining Minigame!

Rules: Choose three spots in order. There are 6 spots total. One contains super rare materials, 2 contain normal materials, one contains danger, one contains nothing at all, one contains rare materials.

Ok so first, shouldn't we have 100 mana from resting?

    Minigame! Let's go!

Ok, so Knocker is tapping the third spot. We took out time to get this information, but does Knocker know that? Could Knocker be doing a reverse sociology on us? We can only go with the knowledge we have, so let's ignore the third spot...

Under that logic the fourth spot should be a rare ore... But maybe we save it for last just in case. Now all that's left is to consult the mighty RNGessus...

The first spot to mine... Is the sixth! The second... Is the second! Praise the mighty dice god! I choose 6,2,4.

....... Now Rng did say that we should choose 3 for the last... Gonna ignore that since I only asked for 2... But...

Could this be an opportunity to defeat Knocker? Not sure how to lure it out though...

My bad it should be 100 mana... I forgot to update that one.

...Anything preventing us from casting repair on the pickaxe?

Gonna have to wait with my picks until that's cleared up

:O, didn't think of that. Genius!

You know... there is technically nothing stopping you from doing that... So... I will allow it.

    he, alright.

Not sure how many tries we get now, so I still go with three tries

    Let's analyse the situation:

We know that the Knocker knocks and we also know that he knocks in the mine to lure miners to gas chambers. So spot three is obvious, too obvious if youcatch my drift.

We also know that the Knocker is crafty, would he thus go for such a completely obvious ploy? I think it makes for more sense for him to knock behind the wall with the super rare material to prevent us from getting it

And yes, I am aware that this is a "He knows that we know that he knows" situation. But we have one more advantage: Yulia is wearing a mask, if there is gas behind spot number three she should be fine.

Now on to spot four, not much we can seemingly infer from that one, except that it has a crack. A crack could mean there is pressure behind it. Also the number four happens to mean Death in japanese. Could be a complete coincidence, buuut, still.

I don't expect any danger behind the unmarked spots, so if we want to play it safe we could probably just go for them, but that's boring.

My vote is...6 2 3 in that order. Since Yulia has her mask we should let her do the digging. Goma and Cherchiel should stay near the exit to make sure a swift retreat is possible in case of a cave in or gas leak. Oh and Goma might sound the horn, just to make things easier on Yulia

Fair warning... Pressurized gas chambers are not stopped by a mask... Or anything for that matter, it's very deadly!

Point taken. But that sounds too harsh, given that this would result in a party wipe with the only survivor being Yulia thanks to her Halo

There are plenty of dangerous spots on this floor, this doesnt't strike me as one of them, so I'm more inclined to taking a risk.

Extra dangerous gas chamber! Though maybe the explosion actually lessened the lethality in some ways. Thank you RNG god's for blessing us with the rare ore first!

Ok, so upgrade time! What do we want enchanted? For Solanium I think we should make a catalyst for magic with it so either Goma or Yulia could use it. The Nethicite should be used for Cherchiel, but I'm not sure which... On one hand life stealing powers are great since it means she can last longer if she can land a hit. Physical resistance is great for the berserker style of Boarchiel but wont help against magical attacks or effects. I'd lean more towards the armor.

For the other ingots should we get Goma something? An iron sling for range maybe?

Still need some coldrock while we're nearby as well.

To be clear... the downsides of getting hit with the explosion were: It ends the minigame immediately, damages all equipment, resting gives another chance for Knocker to do some mischief.

You got lucky and got the best ores beforehand, repair somewhat negated the equipment damage and Knocker has indeed done some bullshit.

    oof, I got bamboozled

Well, we got more ingots then we possible know what to do with now. Sadly no gold, but these super rare materials will certainly be very valuable

The question now is if we take them directly to the dwarves, or keep them to use in the auction.

I think we should at the very least ask what payment the Dwarves want to work on our equipment, before making a decision

After we should head back to Aresque and see what Goma can create with the new ingredients

Oh and if we are back there might as well check out the theatre and cathedral to see if there is anything of note there.

That bit about Knocker is concerning. From the sound of it, he won't show up from us just wandering around but his spawn rate while resting is higher then with the other floor monsters. The obvious thing he could have done is tamper with our items, maybe investigate them, to see if there is something amiss

About the coldrock thing, I'm not against making this our next goal, but I really want to get our equipment sorted out first.

Don't remember stone golem in the learning montage XD

Ok, umm... Do we have anything that works on a stone golem... Rapier, no. Fire, no. Ice, maybe. Sword, no. How big was this thing?

Best bet is they are usually slow, if it's magical then hitting it with magic spells will weaken it's ability to stay together. If it's a creature then attacking the joints is a good choice since it should be connected with fleshy bits.

Boarchiel, Horn, get a shot on it's joints to see what we are fighting. If it's magical, ice lance. If not then keep attacking the joints with sharp metal. Goma heals in either situation.

If this thing is attack on Titan size, just retreat!

If it's magical and we run out of ice lances, just retreat as defeating this without magic is nearly impossible.

The Crater is poorly understood and especially not something the Drow know much about :D

Oh shit, Golem's are the worst, you never know if you can even damage them

Edit: according to the weapons dealer we need steel for "the real hard stuff" which I guess the golem counts and Cherchiel should have a steel spear, soo

Lets go full offensive, Boarchiel, blow the horn, energize and enfeeble and then have Cherchiel stab the thing with her spear

If there is any weakpoint, like joints on the golem we should obviously exploit it

Biggest issue is that thing punching us off the stairs instead., so Cherchiel needs to be mindful of her footing, best dig in with her shield. Yulia and Goma obviously need to stay behind Cherchiel, and support her with heals as needed.

Retreat is a very valid option here, if there is no obvious damage done with all powerd up cherchiel you need to get the hell out of here. Luckily Golems are pretty mindless, so you shouldn't be pursued too much

    Good job Squad!

Ok, does Gomas Thick Hide help against the cold? Otherwise we actually don't have much that I can think of... We need more fire!

We need a rest after that fight for sure... But is this Li a good noodle? Weird that nobody noticed where she went... But I guess, Li what do dwarves usually do to get the coldrock?
