Short responses for me this week. Pretty busy. Liloth first since she is a part of our plans now and trusted. See if she can confirm and know more about this stone.
Of course Yulia rolls a 20 when it doesn't matter at all lol I actually misread the situation, I thought we where already at the bottom. Luckily things turned out fine. I'm a bit curious how throwing knives work, we used up seven in this fight but got a -10 for it, is this just random? In addition to that, we still have some silver to spare and these throwing knives are pretty handy so I would suggest we get some more from Martin, uh, engin can you post the prices again? I definitely still urges us to go to Liloth and demand some supplies, not only will we need that if we want to have an chance of beating the Old Mind, I don't trust Liloth to give us anything once we have killed the Old Mind. She's a demon after all. We should also inform her about what Albino Bat just did, maybe Liloth has an idea which demon might be behind this.
So, the throwing knives were a -10 because they were silver vs a demon. The throwing knives bonus is somewhat situational basically, but in general, assuming they'd be 1 for each used, would be appropriate.
I could swear I wrote down the prices somewhere already... Guess not... Alright 5 throwing knives or darts for each silver ingot
I also added a page that holds all current knowledge related to smithing or alchemy and the discovered but currently useless cooking. Let me know if I forgot anything.
oof...I really wish we would have gotten those supplies from Liloth I don't fancy our chances of fighting the Old Mind with our current setup. We have 3 mana potions, which means we basically have 100% Mana So we use up the mana potions in this fight and then we are screwed for the floor boss? I am extremely conflicted right now. Sunken cost fallacy is a bitch and all that, so I want to see this sidequest trough. But on the other hand doing so feels very irresponsible. I don't think I can do it in good faith. If I give the go ahead I feel like I would only do so out of an obligation for the sidequest. If I do so it would mean I would no longer care about guiding Yulia trough the tower. I would just go along with the motions. I'm sorry. I can't do this. I veto fighting the old mind and instead opt to focus on the floor boss.
Oh shit I completely forgot you guys wanted to ask Liloth for supplies... That is my bad. I am going to edit the post to include that. Edit: This is not just me wanting you to do the sidequest, I consider it actually unfair that I forgot that. So, congrats you have been given some alchemical ingredients to use as you wish, anything more than that though and you'll have to deal with Dahlia to get more.
Well, technically warider was against asking her for support, not that I'm complaining ;P Alright, I have to admit, I completely forgot that Dahlia would technically work that way as well, altough one mana potion in exchange for a fetish sounds way too steep for me. Or is it more then that? I forgot if that was ever specified. We should get four mana potions out of these alchemy ingredients, right? I don't think we can get anything else. We really need that mana So, yeah I opt for four mana potions After, we can confront the old mind. Might be wise to not immediately rush him, if he thinks he can still control us we should play along until an opening present itself for a sneak attack. Of course that's not the whole battle plan, we need to wait for this until we get a better idea of what we are actually dealing with. Also Yulia's mana sits at 45% for a while now, That should be 50% right?
They technically haven't rested since the fight with Li actually. So, that's 45 because of the use of blizzard. Edit: Also, I thought I put it in the notes for them, but apparently not. When getting items from Alide and Dahlia, Items are given in quantities relative to rarity. Mana potions and health potions are given in groups of four, basically the same as the amount you get from alchemy.
We are in too deep now. Something good will happen when we defeat the old mind. I say we go and it's really up to if the ilumiastone works as we hope it does. We should get mana potions, get the knives, rest, then head to old mind!
Finally, I’ve caught up. First of all, hello to Yulia and her companions. But on the main point: The Old Mind. I wonder if we should so quickly dismiss this as a side quest. Back on the previous floor there were two floor bosses leading to different destinations, and one of them was secretly a former Chosen. I can’t make any guarantees, but it is a thought. In the short term, maybe hold off on rushing in. It might be best to learn more about Illustone considering our sole source so far was Li. And don’t forget, something fell from above, leaving behind a supposedly untranslated tablet and several tunnels (one of which holds Coldstone and another Illustone). Given how the last couple fights against the Mindeaters have gone, I believe caution and preparation are warranted.
I have to agree with Cherchiel. This is kinda sad. Here I was going full paranoia, but this problem was solved just by having a cool rock. I wish you all luck, make sure to end this while you have the chance.
I'm not sure if I love or hate this. lol Well, we should go trough the motions anyways. Goma sound the horn, Yulia cast Blizzard to have the flames go out. We probably shouldn't use Boarchiel since the guy still seem to have some mind control powers, but I doubt we need her anyways. After, it's stabbing time. I assume the unconcious people are the ones that where abducted, so once we are done with the Old Mind, might be a good idea to check them out.
Cherchiel throw your spear through his chest right now. He's a mage, but stationary. Either he can deflect it and we learn something or he's dead.
Newest Post: The Dream Ending With the Old Mind gone, I do not know how much longer I will persist. Though we were enemies, I do wish we could have been friends. Thank you for the name.~Lem
