Literally just chucking a fucking spear through him -100
    That made me laugh XD

Well that went much better. Town is safe, we have gained Puppet back along with some ring that maybe Martin can check?

I do not see puppet being useful for the rest of this floor so we should wait on using it.

I believe once we have an idea of what the ring is we should as Liloth for help through the spider lair and get out of this floor.

That ring sounds cursed as all hell. Demonic equipment was teased a while back and while I don't think that ring is demonic, I still don't think putting it on is in our best interest. At the very least not until we get some more information out of it. Might be a good idea to ask Liloth and Dahlia about it as long as we still have access to them

We still have the Illustone, I like everyone to make a mental note of that. The thing might just end up coming in handy again later on.

So we got puppet back! yay! Provided it is actually puppet. Since this is Liloth she might still screw us over but I think that's unlikely.
I think Goma is the perfect recipient for it, we haven't really found a proper use for her magic.

I was pretty torn with using it right now myself, so yeah, we can hold it off until the next floor.

I don't think we are missing anything. The path of riches was rumored to have some materials but this was either wrong or they are now gone with the old mind. I don't think anyone fancies climbing down in that pit so I say we are good.

There is some cool equipment in Aresque that would be nice to buy, but unfortunately we don't have the gold.

So yeah, once we are done with everything and rested we can catch up with Liloth and see about tackling the floor boss

Because I am such a honest person I feel compelled to note that the items still show us having 3 silver ingots, we should only have one left after the last purchase

You are correct. Thank you for your honesty, I have fixed it.

The Old Mind has been stomped into dust. I agree, don’t trust the ring, and hold off on using Puppet. In terms of business on this floor, part of me wants to finish it as quickly as possible to get those debuffs off of Yulia. That said, could this be an opportunity to kill Dreg? The Knocker is gone, but if Dreg has ever used it against the people of this floor like he did with Lumberer on the previous floor, that would make him an accomplice of sorts. Maybe Yulia et al can try to use the goodwill they’ve earned by dealing with Knocker and Old Mind to rally the people against Dreg?
Not only is he alone, but his role (along with Alide and Dahlia) is a bit different on this floor compared to the others. Maybe he has less of a home field advantage? It’s obviously a big risk, but this could be an opportunity.

That went well, im glad Liloth kept here word. I would also like for Cherchiel to test the theory on the ring, but maybe not now. We have a fight first!

Ok, monster is sleeping so we could setup stuff. Unfortunately the only pre fight option is to throw gas grenades, which could work. Bugs breath through their skin so applying so big spray before the fight could help. I would like 2 gas grenades to be used. One thrown right up to the big big while the other at the same time between it and us. This should make sure it's poisoned.

I'm tempted with Cherchiel's new strength to let Gomma have the mask, but insane strength Cherchiel would also be helpful. I really don't think this fight will be messing with our mind this time. Boarchiel is front ready to clash and grapple the monster once it leaves the poison.

Gomma horn and prepare to heal any injured. Isalia please watch and defend the party from it's stinger while Boarchiel is dealing with the body.

Yulia, mana is low but we have a few options. Use mana potions as needed so we can leave this floor, spare none if needed. Undermine the bug and energize Isalia, then support by attacking with the rapier when possible.

It's just a fight now, you can do this everyone!

I second going all in on Cherchiel with the buffs. Blizzard also seems like it would be good here, considering the size of Monarch. If every part of it is being slowed down by the snow, it will have difficulty maneuvering. Keep moving around it, force it to turn rather than just charging straight ahead.

True, blizzard is also good but wait until it leaves the poison gas to prevent the gas from getting blown away.

Ah, I wanted to actually weigh in on Dreg, but forgot about it lol

Hm, even if we don't wear the ring, it seems we will get quite a lot of use out of it, after all, we can now use it to deduce if someone is a demon or an angel. That definitely comes in handy if we run into more of them

Incidentally, I have a hunch that Dreg might be a demon, so we could do the ring test, but then again, Dreg is probably savy enough to refuse, or outright fake it.

    Anyways, so the boss.

The way this is set up feels like it should be possible to sneak by the boss.

Yes, this was never possible before, but the fact that the lock is old and rusted feels deliberate. We do have Unlock after all, and it's about bloody time we get some more use out of the skill.

Fighting a floor boss hasn't yielded any reward beyond getting acess to the next floor, so if we can skip them we should.

Finally, the whole floor had a theme of trickery, from Knocker and his traps, to the Old Mind. I don't think we should brute force this.

I propose we try sneaking around the monarch and try to unlock the door. Isalia take point and make sure there aren't any traps.

Should I be outvoted, I'm fine with warider's strategy, however, I do suggest witholding the horn at first. We only get one surprise attack in after all. Waking the thing up too early isn't in our interest. The horn can be sounded after the first attack have landed.

I want to argue that trying to unlock it will also ruin the element of surprise... But it may just work XD

I will remain on fight side and let our new voice decide if we should try.

Yay! I'm glad I was outvoted here, that worked out splendid! Althou i have to wonder if we entered the abyss because we didn't fight? Probably not since they found us and I've been wondering when something would happen. Makes sense they would do so when Yulia is unable to stop due to the tower.

Since we are just traveling, some questions! What are the thoughts on Goma being pregnant, is there anything we could do to prevent it unless Goma wants the child?

Isalia you decided to join us! What made you stay and what are your plans with us?

Cherchiel, do you know anything about the abyss we are going into? Any tips or warnings?

Yulia you mentioned the tower changing you in more ways than just these fetishes. Remember that your world is at stake so we need to do everything we can to progress! But is there other changes you were not expecting?

Martin! How are you doing? What do you do while we are not at your shop?

First of all, congratulations on clearing the floor!
As for Warider’s point, I’m inclined to agree that this outcome was a result of sneaking past Monarch. The end of the second and fourth floors offered a choice, two different doors to go through and two different sets of challenges behind them, one set of challenges tied to the Tower Above and the other to the Tower Below. It seems this time, the choice was not which door but how it was crossed. We should keep that in mind going forward.
On a similar note, I wonder if Yulia should consider siding with the One True God in some capacity. It isn’t an easy choice considering what happened at the end of the third floor, but after killing one Archdemon and foiling the plan of another, I wonder if it’s best to oppose them alone. Especially if, rather than this being a result of the choice to sneak past Monarch, this was an active move by someone or something from the Tower Below. I’m sure Cherchiel has thoughts on that, and it would also be worth asking Alide the next time you meet her.

With that title I was so prepared for this to end in a fight and a loss lol

That was probably a bit too close to comfort, I wasn't even considering that we might have to win a stat check and Isalia's armor was pure luck.

But hey that's three floor bosses in a row we cheesed!

Great. Looks like we arrived at the towers version of Blighttown. I regret choosing the lower path already.

Our Abyss newsfeed changed again, looks like things are about to get serious with that.

Goma's pregnancy is definitely something we need to figure out. It sucks, but we might have to hold off giving her puppet untl that matter is resolved.

Newest Post: You have no idea how excited I am for this :D

Also to clarify, sneaking past or fighting Monarch would not have changed this. You were waylaid to the Tower Below because Yulia was marked and used a demonic spellbook. Whichever floor she first used a demonic item on would have resulted in this happening upon switching floors... The last floor obviously being an exception.

Dreg offering a free rest with no strings attached is good, but a testament to how foreboding this situation is given that even he is uncomfortable. His presence also implies the existence of another floor monster, although I'm worried what this one will be like even when compared to the others.
The mark on the cobra-like statue probably implies a connection. I'm guessing that's Levateinn, the Demon of Envy, in line with Liloth's suspicion that she was the one who ordered Li's interference.
As for the other one, it's almost certainly the Demon of Gifts. That said, I'm not sure what Yulia's connection to them is. Could it simply be connected to being Marked by the Abyss, or using the demonic spellbook? Or, given her words the last time you spoke, could the Demon of Gifts be connected to Dahlia?
It might be worth getting a closer look at those statues, but otherwise it seems there's only one way to go from here. Best of luck.

All right, dreg is bad but this floor seems worse, so truce for now.

Examining the statues is a good idea, could be clues. But do be careful as it could well be trapped or enchanted.

Afterwards it's on to the double doors. Be careful touching the door, i have a feeling it may be enchanted to harm the person opening them.

Interesting reaction from Dreg. Not sure If I buy it. I'm very tempted to do the ring test but...not now.

Well then, not much to do here but moving forwards...or is there?

One of the statue holds a present, sounds hillariously obviously a trap, but I still think we should have Isalia investigate it. Assuming we can actually take it and it isn't part of the statue of course, lol

If there isn't anything we can do with that present, I suppose it is time to move forward. Oncce again, let Isalia take point and inspect the door for any traps.

Also, we probably should try to stay away from the tentacle walls as much as possible.

Well, the presence of two Archdemons is … very concerning. That said, their presence comes with a second question: are one or both of them floor bosses? Ash’s presence on the fourth floor was an anomaly, but this is the Tower Below.
Circumstances what they are, I’d say go left. If it’s a trap, better to know now and watch out in the future. Hopefully Cherchiel’s senses are right, and at minimum we can get more information, potentially even allies.
