The Tower of Voices Voting Thread

Well, in the midst of all the bad news, we did get a bit of good news: Unlock worked. Here’s hoping that means we can use it to bring Cherchiel into the fight.
Unfortunately, this is exactly the kind of situation I was worried about. Puppet won’t make much of a difference when we’re so badly outnumbered. Even if we managed to win the fight, and that’s a big if, we’d be in poor condition for going further.
Consenting to the gangbang is technically an option, but I wouldn’t advise it. I see no route where it ends well.
It seems the outfit is the only viable option. The only precaution I can think of is having Yulia have something sharp ready to cut the outfit off once we no longer need it.

 

A cursed suit is not easily removed, nor is s living suit... Still a bad idea for me.

Would puppet let us control the demon and make him talk? We could get actual answers from him about the outfit. Perhaps he even knows something to control the outfit in some way, or we make the demon wear it first! This is the best, if it's cursed we will know when he puts it on.

We also need to know more about what Gods light is doing. I'm getting concerned since we have no information and Yulia does not seemed to have gained the knowledge like other spells. If something is happening then it's passive. Curse break, healing aura, or demon weakening are my thoughts. Is her skin glowing or is it more an aura? Isalia can you make a small cut on yourself and see if it heals itself? Yulia can you touch the ring and see if your an angel now maybe? Perhaps moving closer to the demon in the previous room and see if he gets nervous or backs away. If your skin is glowing, maybe sheding clothes will reveal what it does?

I still think it is worth having Goma learn puppet now as a fall back. Good to do it now and make sure she has no bad side effects.

 

fighting against numerous enemies like this isn't automatically as bad as it seems. After all, we already have examples how it works, and each enemy adds a +1 to the dificulty, meaning 20 demons would only result in a +20

Last fight against Li ended with a -11 before the roll,and we didn't really go out against that one. Admittedly that was with Cherchiel, but she didn't add all that much to the fight

Would be nice if we know the stats of the demon Yulia defeated all the way back on floor two, but all in all this random mook demons aren't that though.

I think warider makes some good points but I am concerned about the time aspect of it all. We don't know if we are on a time limit to save Cherchiel, and I stress again, any move between rooms increases the chance of a fight against the floor monster

As for puppet I am still all in favor of giving it to Goma, but I don't like this situation and rather want to wait until we are in a more safer envirorment.

I don't think we can cut Yulia out of the outfit if it's cursed, thats usually not how these things work. Once it's on we most likely will have to deal with any negative trait it brings until we find a way to decurse it.

Finally, there is no telling that these demons will even hold up their end of the bargain. Worst case scenario they jump in when it's time to fight Levateinn.

So, based on everything, I believe fighting our way trough here is the proper course of action.

My proposed strategy:


Goma sound the horn, Isalia don the boar mask.

Yulia cast energize on everyone as well as blizzard and undermine.

You can take a mana potion to replenish your mana

After, that is done, go into close range melee fighting. Try to stick to the walls so that you don't get surrounded.

 

Regardless of the downsides, I still think the outfit is the right call. Let Levateinn feel like she's in control of this situation (because, if we're being honest, she is). If Yulia begrudingly plays along with Levateinn's game, she'll kick back and enjoy the show. But if we try to go against her wishes and fight our way through, she'll take it out on Cherchiel. We also don't know how many rooms we have to get through. It doesn't matter how well prepared we are now if we have to get through three or four fights before reaching Levateinn and Cherchiel.

 

So we have 3 different ideas on how to proceed. Fight, learn/trick, wear outfit.

While I still prefer my approach, I will 100% agree that moving from room to room is dangerous. If any tie absolutely needs to be broken then I agree with Gambio because of this point. I'm not thrilled with fighting and would much rather have a more clever solution.

Well, this is far from what I was expecting. The Abyss wants Yulia to take Ash’s seat…
This puts a couple things on this floor in a new context. Lemiel probably is the real deal, sent by the One True God to scout Yulia before she sided with the Tower Below. The outfit, as a symbol of Yulia’s new position , is probably similar to something that we could get from Dahlia, where it offers benefits but imprints a fetish on Yulia.
I’d say before we even discuss accepting this position or not, we should fully understand what the position would entail. The idea of saving Yulia’s world, and protecting the party, without needing to go any higher in the tower has some merit.
We should probably take care of Cherchiel, and then explore more of the floor now that we’re not on a deadline. Hopefully Alide is on this floor somewhere, because she’s probably the only person here we can trust outside of the party.
We also have a few steel bars. It might be worth it to go back to Martin and have him make Cherchiel a bit of armor to use until we get the real stuff back.

 

My initial reaction is hell no, Liloth was also an arch demon and that didn't really help her situation much.

I can't help but notice that Gods Light is not a + or - in the combat... Did it do anything? We need rest and figure out what Gods Light is doing.

Also: Boarsalia! Your fury was unstoppable and the demons stood no chance against you! The very ground shook with each ferocious step as your unpenetrable shield stopped all in your path. Boarsalia knows no equal as you defended your woman! Stand tall and know that you are strong!

So will this happen every time? This is helpful to always go all out with the spells.

 

Wow, that’s really strong. We should probably test the limits of it when we get the chance. For example, does it fully refill mana, or only by a certain amount? And is there a limit to how many times per day it can activate?

 

Ha ha! I knew these demons wouldn't be tough! To be fair, the dress would have probably got us trough as well, but I still maintain that it would likely have resulted in a feitsh


That offer certainly sounds generous. But I imagine it would completely change Yulia's personality.Perhaps she could fight it, but I dunno
I agree that we need more information and it looks like we can postpone this until we reach the abyss(floor boss?)

Cherchiel currently has no equipment right? I'm asking because it still shows up under her equipment.

Well, we obviously should try getting it back, that is some pretty high grade stuff

In the meantime, looks like we finally get some use out of that bonespear and the spidersilk gown. Lets give that to Cherchiel

I'm not too keen with using our remaining ingots up for some temporary equipment. Admittedly, Cherchiel is rather weak right now, but I think we can manage.

Before we move out, I'd like to use this opportunity to propose to give Goma puppet.

...Do we want to take the dress with us? Just as with God's light I don't think we should wear it, but hey, a free item is a free item

And speaking of gods light. That is a pretty handy effect we got from it. Should massivly cut down our mana potion usage.


...Isalia, this is the first time you have worn the boar mask, I'm surprised we didn't get much of a reaction out of you. Are you perhaps immune?

As said last time. While I understand it's potentially confusing, I do leave equipment and stuff where it is if it's likely to only be temporary, just makes it easier for me. Apologies for the inconvenience. Yes, Cherchiel is currently without her normal equipment. (Maybe I'll add like a... Temporarily missing tag or something)

 

I was looking back through previous post to find some info in response to Marcie and Gina and realized I forgot something sort of important... So, I'm gonna add it to the most recent post and I'm going to explain it here. Upon arriving on the sixth floor, the empty bandolier you got from Knocker, randomly generated a grenade.

 

Newest Post: Not much happened here. I looked through, but there hadn't actually been a decision to go after Levateinn or go anywhere else... so...

 

I know it's not a nice thing to say, but Goma getting atrophy is the best possible outcome. Goma won't do much physical stuff anyways.
As for that Grenade launcher, might as well give it to Goma, assuming she can stomach the weight. This should certainly be useful.

Puppet still sounds ridiculously overpowered. I'm sure there is some downside to it but even at 20% per action that seems insane

We could test it on Chiremon, to see if stuff like kill yourself would work, but I kinda like the guy and he is just doing his job.

I'm interested in a couple of things

-Can Goma do other stuff, or is she bond to the puppet until the spell ends?
-Is there a time duration or would a Puppet just keep doing things indefinitely(in that case Goma please cut the spell after five minutes or so)
-can the spell be cut or is another order required to make the puppet stop?

Once that is done, I do believe we should head after Leva. So going trough Eternal Reward.

However, if the other voices want to make a detour to check back in on Lamiel first, I would be ok with it.

 

I’m interested in the other door we never got to look in. We were originally planning to just peek at the statue room and then check the other room, but then circumstances went out of our control. We might be able to find Alide somewhere that way, so we can exchange the dress for something we can trust. And overall I think it would be better to examine our options rather than going straight for the Archdemon we’ll have to fight to move on.

 

I agree that puppet needs some testing: Cherchiel should softly spank Yulia, no super strength. Once we confirm that it works well here, before you cancel it try commanding Isalia to do some jumping jacks. If both of these work then attempt to change Cherchiel's into a one arm handstand.

First command to test if it works. Isalia to see if multiple commands can be issued and if she thinks it is puppet from before. Then giving Cherchiel 2 commands to see what happens as well as see if possible but difficult tasks are good to command. For all of these please try your hardest to resist, if you can break it then our enemies can. Goma if you think of something else you should try with your remaining mana then do so.

After this I agree that exploring after some rest would be better for now. Don't take dregs help, just take turns resting.

Although, we should probably be careful about using it for sexy things in the future, considering Yulia took a level in Masochism and Isalia in Submission. I'm worried that might have been because Puppet was involved, rather than simply the acts on their own. Because I don't believe sex between the party has developed/enhanced fetishes before but I could be wrong.
I will say, the structure of this floor has me curious. There's the bathhouse, the 'Eternal Reward' path with Levateinn at the end, there's the 'For Yulia' route with her throne at the end, and now Alide's room and, presumably, Dahlia's. The statues at the beginning indicated that both Levateinn and the Demon of Gifts were on this floor. They could be somewhere behind the 'Eternal Reward' path, but something seems off to me. I wonder if we may have already encountered the Demon of Gifts without realizing it.
Also we should look into trading in the dress that was for Yulia, we might get something a bit more useful for Cherchiel to wear while her equipment is confiscated.
