Hm, I was hoping for a lightning upgrade or perhaps a stronger icicle, but that's the risk. Well, Bondage is up to Level 3, so that's swell going up against a tentacle monster. We really need to get some mileage out of lifedrain, I don't think we used that once. As tempting as it would be to distribute these spells evenly. Yulia has such a huge advantage in spellcasting that it would be a waste in doing so. We need every bit of damage we can get, as such I propose to give them all to Yulia. Agree with casting identify on them first, to see if there is any caveat that make giving it someone else the better choice. My next plan of action would be to wait for the Kraken, but I'm fine with taking a trip back to Martin and Dreg first.
I don't think we should put all our eggs in one basket (even if Yulia would enjoy us putting all our eggs in her basket). Especially since Yulia's bondage fetish has gone up when we're dealing with a tentacle monster, I think it would be better to spread the magic around a bit. If Yulia is distracted or silenced in some way, we'll lose most of our magical firepower if we go all in on her. Life Drain would give Isalia a means of dealing magical damage and healing herself, which would help round her fighting style out.
I see your point and can for the most part concede. However, I'd like to see what identify brings forth first. A level 2 spell might be a massive advantage.
This explain's Dreg's sick proclivity for eating the fairy guides from the fourth floor. And also explains why he's survived this long, regardless of how many Chosen come to hate him. But if we ever had to fight him, this information could make a difference. Maybe if we attacked him with some kind of mindless construct, controlled by Goma's Puppet or some other means? But we've got enough on our plate without picking a fight with Dreg so let's save that. As for smithing and alchemy. It might be worth it to upgrade Cherchiel's spear a bit more. It had no issues in the water and is probably our best weapon. Would it be worth making new tridents for Isalia or Goma? And for the alchemical ingredients, could we create some sort of poison or acid we could trick the kraken into swallowing? It should be easy for someone to toss something into its mouth while it's trying to suck everyone in.
Man, so it would take a whooping three levels for the spell to upgrade. I don't see us ever getting that far with how random the system is. Unless we where supposed to make use of Dahlias services way more liberally lol At any rate, based on this information I'd say we can give Life Drain to Isalia, while Fireball and Force Lance go to Yulia Well, at least we have confirmation that using identify on some people definitely has the chance of pissing them off. Also I'm happy my decision from way back when to not confront Dreg was the right one. The Illustone might come in handy if we ever end up fighting Dreg. Based on the last fight, Isalia realy seemed the only on in need of a decent underwater weapon. We do have the ingots for it, so I'd say we forge a speciality weapon(3 steel ingots) for Isalia. A trident does seem the most appropriate here. As for alchemy,we already have 3 poison gas grenade, so I'm not sure this would be worth it. A regular grenade might serve us better. Incidentally, I was contemplating the fetish system again and I was wondering if instead of giving a blank "get as many spells you want" it would have been better if Dahlia offered her services on a tier basis Basically once per floor get to choose one of the following: 1 Fetish 1 Spell 3 Fetish 3 Spell 6 Fetish 6 Spells Or if you really want to sucker them in, offer a discount for getting a higher tier lol I think this way it would have encouraged to engage with the system more by giving it a clear range. Obviously it's too late in the game to change this now, but might be something to consider for further tower installments
Newest Post: Not much happening... You guys are in disagreement on some stuff so waiting for a settlement before going forward.
I'll agree with making the trident, but I'm not sure how effective more grenades would be underwater. And even if we have poison gas grenades, again, I don't know how effective they'd be underwater.
I imagine, tossing it into the mouth should be very effective. to be clear, what we can craft is limited https://chyoa.com/chapter/:Crafting:.1186324 And from these options I believe a regular grenade to be the best choice.
I… somehow forgot you can just toss grenades rather than using the launcher. Tossing them in should work better than poison. I’ll concede on poison, thanks to the grenades launcher we can probably get more use out of the grenades on future floors than we would with poison. Should we be safe and put three ingots into the trident to make it as effective as possible? We’ll be using it for the rest of the floor and I’d rather be safe than sorry.
Yeah, I'd say we should go for the best version available, I doubt we are getting much use of the ingots otherwise
Yeah, sorry but I don't see any reason for us to get involved with this war. We have our own issues to deal with. That said, we also have no idea where and who the boss of this floor is. Who knows how things eventually shake out? Killing Dreg is also not something we should attempt without good cause. The guy has sleep powers, we don't have a good track reccord when it comes to that. Eyes on the prize girls Alright, I'd say it's time for us to finally go after the Kraken. We want a location where we can attack it from the surface and underwater, so I would suggest the swimsuit shop. Do you want us to give our battle strategy right now or should we wait?
I mean you will have to declare your strategies when the Kraken actually shows up either way, but you can suggest ideas now to help get you both on the same page before hand if you want.
Since we'll be starting out on land, it might be a good idea to fire some lightning magic into the water at the beginning of battle. Get some good damage in at the start. All the usual buffs, as well as Boarchiel. The real finisher will probably have to be getting grenades inside the kraken. Maybe Isalia and Cherchiel charge the kraken, Yulia fires off magic from further away, and Goma covers Yulia? We entrust two grenades to Isalia, and keep one on Yulia in case of an emergency. We also have twenty feet of spidersilk rope in the bag, maybe we can tie Cherchiel and Isalia together so our big strong angel can help anchor Isalia? Or would there be too much of a risk of the line getting tangled with tentacles?
Interesting approach, I don't think having the Kraken get tangled in the line would be an issue. We don't want it to escape after all. I mostly agree with this strategy albeit I will give the detailed input once the kraken has shown up.
Here’s my plan of attack: Goma blows the horn, Yulia uses Energize and then shoots lightning magic into the water, and Cherchiel and Isalia fend off the tentacles while approaching the water. Once Yulia stops with the lightning, Cherchiel dons the boar mask and everyone dives in. Once under water, Isalia and Cherchiel approach the kraken, Cherchiel fending off tentacles. Isalia will get close enough to start tossing grenades inside its mouth. Yulia will continue to provide covering fire with Force Lance, and Goma will help protect her from tentacles and direct Boarchiel with Puppet as needed. Anyone else have additions or changes they’d like to suggest?
Let's kill this fucker! Yulia: Open with energize on the group and lightning strike, after that fire everything you have. Blizzard, Icicle, Fireball, Forcelance and Life drain. You should be fine mana wise, but if not feel free to pop a mana potion I'm against Yulia going in the water. I think an assault from above and beneath the waves will prove more beneficial here, as I expect stuff like Fireball and Blizzard to be near useless underwater Once Yulia's lightning strike has run its course the rest dives in for close quarter combat Cherchiel: Turn into Boarchiel and go ham. Goma: Your dagger will prove very useful here so make sure to stab a lot. Also if anyone else is grabbed with a tentacle take control of them with puppet and make them slice through the tentacle Isalia: Let's have you make use of that Life drain spell, also try to throw a poison and regular grenade into it's mouth. This will be hard, we have to count on the rest of the group to distract the Kraken
