The Witcher - Stories from The Path RP

There's a series of thumps as the hag's head collides with the ground, bouncing on the mud before rolling into the water. The body stays upright for several moments, before it collapses as well. Matthias exhales. "Whoo... Too much excitement for one day." He leads her out to the boat, which luckily is still in one piece. "Thanks again, for saving me. From whatever got me."
Verena extracts The Creatures Claws and some his his blood in one of her Vials before heading to The Boat and sitting down in it.

"Your welcome. You can pay me back later back at The Village allright?" Her expression hard to read as She looks over The waterfront.

Trista smile.
"Well, I told you that I enjoy songs, music and dance? It is logical that I know some of most famous bards and poets arts." She said trying to get some adventage with raid card in raw where Gustav have most strongest cards.
"Of course. It's somewhat unusual, don't you think? A witcher who loves the arts?" Gustav lays down his own cards, but his total is lower than Trista's, meaning that she won.

Not long after, Ashton knocks at her door, opening it with newfound confidence. "Are we still training, mother, or was that it for the day."

Making sure her appearance was in order, Mirellia opens the door. Only to see Ashton, who was strangely eager to train. "That's enough for today. I'm sure the journey here has tired you out, so feel free to relax. Tomorrow, we'll start in earnest."

"Because I have people who know me. I suppose, then if you ARE me, and just trying to get back to work, you know where that is? Then I suppose you wouldn't mind picking up my shift at the brothel." Danielle seemed somewhere between tired and amused. They had obviously just picked up a random person and hadn't realized impersonating her was probably more trouble than it would be worth. But they had already took the time to shove off and run before needing to verify their identity.

Taking a glance at the guards, she wasn't sure where things landed. "Well? Far be it from me to to throw accusations around, but the one running away and doesn't even know their own name, is probably the imposter, don't you think?" It did run a thought across her mind. The actual ability of the doopleganger was incredibly useful. Of course, tracking them down if someone lost sight of them would be near impossible. "How expensive is what they stole anyway? I may as well pay the fine then so you two don't have to waste time tracking a shapeshifter all over the city." She made the offer, assuming the guard didn't really want to bother having to hunt them more than they did want to be found.
The guards shake their heads. "No, it's clear who the real one is." They signal some of their compatriots to give chase. "They only stole some bread, but that's not the main problem. Dopplers are monsters, and it's forbidden for them to poke their filthy heads within the walls of Novigrad." They lift up their halberds, and prepare to leave. "You should be careful, ma'am. Folk say that dopplers sometimes come back to visit the people they've 'inconvenienced', to pay them back for the trouble they've caused, but I wouldn't be surprised if the little beasts mean to do something more sinister."

“I’ll be sure to keep that in mind, thank you.” She watched them leave for a bit before heading on her way back. Maybe it was already following her as someone else or half way through the city by now. It would find it’s way back to her eventually. If it did, she wondered how to approach it. That ability would be fantastically useful for getting into the vault.

She questioned all the utility of it as she made her way back to the brothel, wondering if the client would stop in today or not. She didn’t want to miss the window, so she couldn’t exactly wander to far too explore yet.

Trista smile and shrug her arms.
"Why not? We, witchers, have most contact with arts and culture of death civilisations, in all ruins and forgotten places rules by monsters. So why not enjoy some kind of art, when no one else can't? And from my own expirence, in old songs and legends there is grain of true, what helps deal with curses and dark magic. " She decided to pass, not giving more cards.

The witch chuckles. "Don't lay it on too thick, Prince Charming." The pair quickly find their way out, circling around to get back to the horse. As Ard mounts up, he sees the men still looking at the entrance of the shop, though they seem restless.
Ard helped Abigail up on his horse, before he looked to the thugs, 'They seem quite agitated. Hmm, we better get them to go after us before they go in and destroy the place.'

Calling out, he taunted them, 'Hey, idiots, over here!' Giving them a rude gesture with his fingers, which meant 'up your arse', he rode through the streets towards the gate,

Together, the three go deeper into the woods. The further they go, the more animal and plant life there is, and the animals seem less skittish and afraid of human intruders. Walking along, Varrin can't help but feel like he's being watched. Finally, he sees a massive tree in the distance, and a low moaning sound near it, louder and deeper than any human could make.
Varrin checked to make sure all of his weapons were ready to be drawn and used in an instant, but otherwise remained quiet and followed Isabella's lead. He examined the massive tree in the distance and tried to locate the source of the inhuman moans.

"I see..." The dwarf nods. "I suppose that makes sense. Thanks." The conversation dies down quickly after that. The duo find themselves on the road for several days, as they cross the border into the Kingdom of Temeria. After more days of travel, leaving the torturer dull and aching with saddle sores, they arrive at the gates of Vizima, Temeria's capital. "We'll stop at the market, get some supplies. Don't want to starve to death on our way to Novigrad, do we?"

Lutz nodded.

"It would be nice to sleep in a normal bed." He answered as he took a look at the city. It was not often that he left the familiar dungeons, and it was even less often that he travelled to other kingdoms. The unfamiliar ground was making him nervous, but he never allowed it to show on his face.

"Sure." Matthias nods gravely as he rows, focused on not attracting attention from the myriad of drowners. Finally, he moors at the village's jetty, tying the boat up to one of the rungs, and holding out his hand to help Verena out of the boat.

"Of course, mother." Ashton nods. "I'll take it easy tonight, to prepare for tomorrow." He turns to leave, before pausing. "Oh, and I've thought about what I want as my reward, by the way."

As Danielle walks back to the Passiflora, she feels the enchanted dildo inside her pussy stimulating her with every step. As she steps through the brothel's main doors, her cheeks are flushed, nipples erect, and she can feel her juices dripping against her underclothes.

"Good. Don't expect me to hold back forever." Mirellia replied with a nod, and as she expected Ashton to leave. She was about to shut her door, when he suddenly spoke about the reward. "Oh? And what is it you want?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Gustav comes out offensively in his opening moves of the new round. "I've always prefered more...simple pleasures, myself."

Calling out, he taunted them, 'Hey, idiots, over here!' Giving them a rude gesture with his fingers, which meant 'up your arse', he rode through the streets towards the gate,
"What? Oi, get back 'ere, you elf bastard!" The thugs see Ard and his gesture, quickly giving chase, but can't keep up with the speed of the horse. As Ard and Abigail pass underneath the gate, the two humans double forward, out of breath. The more physically fit one shouts out "We'll get you, whoreson! You'll regret this!" He shouts some more, but the noise is drowned out by the horses hooves and Abigail's mocking laughter.

Heading past the walls, Ard hardly needs to be given directions to the swampland, as the two regions stand separated by a river, both sides as different as night and day. On Ard's side is a lush plain of grass and various crop fields, and on the other is a barren mire of mud and muck, the trees cold and dead. Further inland, the river reaches up to crisscross the terrain, until the swamp becomes what looks like a small sea, with an archipelago of islands. In the far distance, the elf spots a tiny village on the coast of one of the islands.

Trista put more defence in this round, to lose as less cards, as she could.
"Yeah, simple pleasure doesn't sound bad too, but them are easier to gain, so for less time you fell satisfaction."

Moving to get a better look, Varrin spots ritual-esque circle in the shadows of the great tree, and in the center of the circle stands a looming figure, perhaps twice the height of a full grown human.

Isabella gives Madeline a hand signal to stay back, and walks up close to her brother. "All right, that's the beast. I'll need a distraction, so I can hit it with magic uninterrupted. Think you can do that?"

As Lutz enters the city, he sees a horse speeding away in the opposite direction, its rider an elf, with a beautiful redhead clinging against him in the saddle, while two street thugs try and fail to catch up, yelling obscenities. Lutz's dwarf companion chuckles, before turning back to the torturer. "I know a few inns and such, that'll suit our needs. I assume yer not some kinda noble who needs absolute luxury?"

Ard sighed, looking out over the landscape, 'Did I ever tell you that I hate swamps? Why people choose to live her I cannot understand.'

'That village is our first stop, I would suggest,' Ard said, making his horse trot towards the village.

He had a look at the sun to see how much daylight they had left.

“I should be able to keep his attention focused on me at least for a while. How long do you need?” Varrin replied as he draw his sword and a dagger, already thinking about how to approach his task. “Also, anything you can tell me about that ritual circle? Should I stay away from it, or is it safe to enter it?
