The Witcher - Stories from The Path RP

The two men have been killed recently. He doesn't know the two riders personally, but he recognises one: A loyalist, who when push comes to shove would probably take the side of the king over the side of Eredin.
Seeing the two dead bodies, Mirellia cautiously looks around, just in case whoever killed them decided to stay. "Friends of yours, I assume?" She asked the elf, "Any ideas on what happened to them?" She added, trying her best to not look at Gustav in such a dire situation.
"Everybody, be carefull. These guys here was killed by magic of ice and cut throat, so we must expected the same. Eyes around head and stay together." She said and get up.
“Their throats were slit? Hmm, so either assassination, execution, or betrayal.” Varrin listed the most likely causes based on the limited information available.
Ard got to his feet, 'I do not know them personally, but they were executed, and recently. It looks like Eredin is purging loyalists from the Rider's ranks as we speak. Bloede pest, is that madelf finally going through with it?' The elf was talking as much to himself as the people he ended up with on the desert world. He listened for any sounds of fighting, before he continued onwards, 'With any luck we can use the way they came here to leave.'

Recognizing his liege he bows.

"I have extracted the information from the inquisitor and dispatched her." He said handing over the list. "The organisation that was aiding me, was intent on getting all the information I was supposed to pass to you. The man sent to retrive the information from me, did not survive. I left the city in haste." Lutz reported
"That was always a possibility. Criminals are useful, but greedy after all. Tell me what you've learned." She listens to him, and gives him one of her mysterious smiles. "Well done, you've proven your worth yet again. We'll need to get to further business soon, but a reward is in order, I'd say."

Sounds like some sort of in-fighting... Hopefully Maddie did not get caught in the middle of it... “Let us hope so.” Was all Varrin said as he followed the Wild Hunt elf, from time to time checking behind the group's back, just in case.

Heading further into the tomb, they find themselves in a large chamber, upon the end of which a blue portal stands, looking like the one that dragged them here to this foreign world in the first place.

Into the portal walk several riders of the Hunt, their appearance too brief for Ard to identify them, but as they disappear, another rider turns around, spotting Isabella's light, and then the party.

"What a peculiar sight..." The Hunt navigator faces them, raising his staff, in between the party and the portal.

"My lady?" Lutz looked at her questioningly. He would appreciate a reward, but he was also expecting a nod to the giant behind him, to have him killed. So he was ready for that. On the other hand, his liege might have been truthful in her statement. That would be good as well.

"Slit throats?" Mirellia repeated, So even the mythical Wild Hunt isn't immune to infighting. She thought to herself, as she checks on the dead soldier's weapons, and whether or not she could use them. And as they headed further inside, only to spot more armored elves. Mirellia looks at her group, as the last one remaining lifts his staff. "What are the chances he's calling us over?"

Trista whisper to Gustav and Varrin.
"Let's take him from both sides. I doubt that he would let's us pass, Gustav go with Varrin on his left, I will take right." She said and slowly move on right from the Navigator.

»A peculiar sight indeed, Caranthir. I saw your handiwork back in the passage. Is the hour at hand? Eredin will usurp King Auberon?« Ard stepped forward, speaking to the navigator in Ellylon.

There's a few moments of silence, where Lutz is sure that his boss will give the order and have her pet attack him, but after a few moments she reaches back to grab a coin purse and hand it to him.

@moonblack @asddas193 @Regin34 @unisol_gr44 "Oh, it's you." Caranthir says dismissively to Ard, in the common tongue of the continent rather than the language of the Aen Aelle. "I thought you were dead. No, not yet. The old man has time left, at least a little." He looks, seeing the group surround him, but doesn't move. "Not that it's your problem. None of you are leaving this room."
»What a heartfelt welcome, I am moved,« Ard scoffed, »A pity, here I thought you would be reasonable. I am going back home and you are not going to stop me, Caranthir.« Ard gripped his sword and raised his arm, as he started to move towards the navigator, he launched a ball of ice at Caranthir, ready to follow it up with his sword once he had closed in.

Seeing the rest of her group try and surround the lone mage, Mirellia decides to help with her current weapon. She waits for Caranthir to focus on one of her companions, before throwing her stiletto dagger at him, aiming for the opening of his armor on his head.

If he stay that calm, alone against all of them, it means he have a lot of tricks in sheeve. Trista attack him, pointing in his neck as fake, only to create Quen, to block coming magic.

Caranthir contemptuously stops the ice spell with a ward of his own before blocking the sword with his staff. "You still know some of our ways? I would have thought you'd forgotten it all when you went native." He taunts, before shoving forwards and forcing Ard back out of the blade lock.

Barely looking, the huntsman raises his staff, sending a blast of jagged ice hurtling into Trista's shield, the force of the impact actually pushing her back somewhat.
Seeing the rest of her group try and surround the lone mage, Mirellia decides to help with her current weapon. She waits for Caranthir to focus on one of her companions, before throwing her stiletto dagger at him, aiming for the opening of his armor on his head.
Mirellia's dagger finds its mark, partially. Instead of stabbing into his flesh, however, it rakes by and cuts into the skin of his neck. Giving a roar of anger, Caranthir turns to Mirellia and launches a blast of frost at her, the magic coming quick enough to put her reflexes to the test. Before she can try to dodge, however, Gustav tackles her out of the way, and the blast sails past harmlessly.
I don't like this – he's way too calm and confident... Varrin chose to stand back and observe for now, searching for any weakness in Caranthir's armor, but ready to rush in and help at a moment's notice.
As Caranthir launches his enraged strike at Mirellia, Isabella attacks him with flame magic. He blocks the attack, but it's left him with his back entirely to Varrin.
