The Witcher - Stories from The Path RP

Caranthir contemptuously stops the ice spell with a ward of his own before blocking the sword with his staff. "You still know some of our ways? I would have thought you'd forgotten it all when you went native." He taunts, before shoving forwards and forcing Ard back out of the blade lock.

Barely looking, the huntsman raises his staff, sending a blast of jagged ice hurtling into Trista's shield, the force of the impact actually pushing her back somewhat.

Mirellia's dagger finds its mark, partially. Instead of stabbing into his flesh, however, it rakes by and cuts into the skin of his neck. Giving a roar of anger, Caranthir turns to Mirellia and launches a blast of frost at her, the magic coming quick enough to put her reflexes to the test. Before she can try to dodge, however, Gustav tackles her out of the way, and the blast sails past harmlessly.

As Caranthir launches his enraged strike at Mirellia, Isabella attacks him with flame magic. He blocks the attack, but it's left him with his back entirely to Varrin.
Seizing the chance Varrin rushed in and attempted to pierce Caranthir's armor from behind, aiming for whichever spot seemed weakest.

»A d'yaebl aép arse,« Ard growled at Caranthir and recovered his footing as Caranthir pushed him back, but he didn't let himself be out of the fight for long, moving back in to attack with his longsword,

Trista gasp as ice push her back, but her shield hold up. She didn't see much chance for hersellf to give him deadly strike, but she could taking his attention from the others. Trista drinks potion of Forest Maribor, what let's her using signs much longer. She focuses on holding Quen and attack Wild Hunt.

Caranthir's mocking laughter can be heard through his helmet, as he parries Ard's strike before hitting his fellow elf with the haft of the staff.
Seizing the chance Varrin rushed in and attempted to pierce Caranthir's armor from behind, aiming for whichever spot seemed weakest.
Caranthir's laughter is cut short, as Varrin's sword dashes forwards, and pierces into the mail below the navigator's shoulder, in the gap between breastplate and arm plates. The nobleman sees blood from the wound, before Caranthir strikes him in the face with the staff, turning around.

Trista's skin grows pale, her veins pronounced, as the potion takes effect. Caranthir, in his pain, slams his staff against the ground, creating a shockwave that sends Varrin and Ard painfully reeling back and falling on their backs. Due to the potion, however, Trista maintains her quen sign, the force field resisting Caranthir's blast.

As Gustav knocked her back, Mirellia groaned. "Thanks. But I will be no help now. The best I can do without a weapon is surprise him with the Aard sign." She said as she gets back on her feet, looking around to see if she could use anything as a weapon.

Now Trista get the chance to strike, since Caranthir is close to her and his magic blast pass her through. She let's strike sword to push away his staff and push him down, to drag on the floor. They both wearing heavy armor, his magic was stronger than her but Trista have more phisical strength. She westring him, to hold his arms to not let him use magic.

Varrin cursed as he fell down on his back. His nose was likely broken after the hit he took, but he did not care, quickly recovering and getting back on his feet. Observing carefully the unfolding battle he waited for another opportunity to strike.

The shockwave threw Ard back on his arse, it took him a bit to recover and get back on his feet. With the witcher attacking Caranthir, he wasn't sure how to join in without hitting her instead. He tried to concentrate and at least use his fatigue spell on Caranthir while he was occupied with the witcher.

There's a few moments of silence, where Lutz is sure that his boss will give the order and have her pet attack him, but after a few moments she reaches back to grab a coin purse and hand it to him.
Suprised, at the show of generosity, Lutz accepted the coin bag. Still, his employer had probably yet another surprise waiting for him. He was just that unlucky man who couldn't be left alone and allowed to work in silence.

Gustav unsheathes Gwyhyr from his back and hands it to her, explaining how he caught it from Danielle, who tried to throw it to her.

Trista takes an armoured elbow to the face as she grapples Caranthir, but manages to get the staff out of his hands. She struggles with him, managing to hold on but not wrestle him to the ground.

Caranthir's resistance to magic is strong, especially to spells he knows well, but as Abigail and the purple haired sorceress realise what Ard's doing and join in, he manages to break through the navigator's mental defences, making Caranthir's movements more sluggish and less powerful.

Looking at his foe and wiping blood from his nose, Varrin realises he won't get a better opportunity to attack without risking a hit in return.

@asddas193 From the spot where Caranthir struck his staff against the floor earlier, ice and frost begin to emanate outwards, as the temperature rapidly goes down. Ard has a natural resistance to such spells, and Trista is protected from low temperatures by her quen sign, but for everyone else in the group, the chill begins to take effect. It's not hampering their mobility yet, but at this rate they may only have a few minutes before they freeze, unless they can neutralise Caranthir.

"Unfortunately, there's one more task I have for you, an interrogation out in the country. Come." She stands, offering her arm. "We'll take my carriage."

Trista split blood from her mouth to face of Caranthir, but didn't stoped westring with mage. She didn't noticed what happened with the staff, she focused on killing enemy. Trista grab the dagger and stab mage in the eye.

Being handed Gwyhyr, Mirellia nods. "Thank you. I seem to have missed the moment Danielle threw it toward the vaults." She said as she draws her precious blade. But, as she felt the sudden cold. The sexy milf shuddered, "Ghh. So this is what a member of the Wild Hunt is capable, huh?" And seeing how her allies were struggling to stop the spell, Mirellia joins in. Moving as quickly as she can, despite wearing heels. She lunges toward Caranthir, aiming to pierce his eyes through the opening of his helm.

As Trista goes to stab her opponent, Caranthir's armoured gauntlet comes up, gripping her wrist and squeezing painfully. Trista's distraction, however, allows Mirellia to thrust Gwyhyr through one of the armoured helmets eye holes.

Caranthir screams as his eye is cut out, and sends an armoured boot kicking into Mirellia's stomach.
