So on a interactive story site called BEaddventure they have a feature where if you pick a story you can read the entire tree of chapter entries. This allowed a person to not only get a feel of the list of events but also allow them to catch up if they needed to. I'm suggesting a creation of this function for stories here if it's already in I'd like to know how to use it.
http://old.bearchive.com/~addventure/game1/docs/utils.html At the very bottom you'll see an option called see chain, it's not working right now but what happens is if you put in a chapter number you get to see every entry that leads up to that episode. This is what I'm talking about by seeing the entire tree or chain of chapters that lead up to a chapter.
