I suggest to wait at least 10 days. Then it's ok if a moderator approves a chapter.

Hello there - the story "! Langeweile - Geschichte mit den meisten Optionen" seems to be neglected quite some time now... My chapters are waiting for approval since April, the Owner (counter7) was last seen 9 months ago.
I have quite some ideas for that story - and if need be i would voluntarily and temprarily moderate that story...

I was wondering how the publishing system works. I have written a story named Never Ending Story, and it is a moderated story. Do I have to wait for my chapters to be visible to others by a moderator or are they already visible once I approve them?

Whenever you want to publish a new story, it has to be approved by a moderator first.
I would estimate that this usually happens within one or two days.
Every chapter that is written already will be published as well in this initial step.
Once a story is approved and visible, you as the story owner have full control over the approval of further chapters, and can review and decide on submissions by other writers.

Just a minor addition.
All chapters from users with a story role will be visible without any approval immediately after publishing.
You can assign story roles at the Edit Story page.
Possible roles are Author, Editor, and Owner. (You have the role Owner by default.)
I have two chapters in Your Furry Life. Bluemewer has been gone for quite a while, so could I have them approved? (I know it's only been two days, but I also know they're not getting published otherwise).

Hi, not sure what to do about this one chapter: submitted it a month ago, has neither been confirmed nor denied, but the author has subsequently approved a different chapter but left this one in the cold, and isn't responding to PMs nor have they commented...
