"Good job. Good job all of you!" Kyouka exclaimed, "Now, clean yourselves up. We don't know if the perfume clung to your clothes. Then, we feast once more!" She cheered as she approaches Santo. "So then, I'm going to go and purchase a temple." She said with a grin, as she heads back to Mochi's place.
Ujo mutters under his breath. "Hedonists." Kyouka is escorted back inside the Mochi estate, where the lord grins like a cheshire cat. "My men saw the whole thing. Good plan, and good execution. Well done." He beckons for her to sit on the floor of his audience chamber, and slides over some papers. "The first document grants you control of a small holding company. You won't make money off of it, but from now on you can purchase properties under the name of the company, instead of your own name. This should make it harder for Oichi to know what you own." The second and third papers are the deed to the temple, and a bill of sale for a ridiculously low price. "Hand over the money whenever you feel like it. You're now the proud owner of a beautiful, if slightly fire damaged, temple. All you need to do now is get rid of the occupants."
"Ooh. Good call." Kyouka hums as she reads through the papers. "I'll have my men bring in the money once things die down. I trust you also wouldn't want Oichi to realize you had a hand in burning down that factory, yes?" She said with a smile, "As for the occupants. They'll be dealt with in due time. Fufu." Chuckling as she stands up, Kyouka bows, "It was as pleasure working with you. Here's to a hopefully, friendly business relationship." She said with a grin. Then if Mochi had nothing left to discuss, Kyouka returns to her room in the castle to get an update with Shintaro.
He shakes her hand with a nod. "Likewise." Kyouka makes her way back to the castle. She sees Shintaro lying down on the futon, a stunning young woman taking away a bloody bandage from his thigh and applying a new one. Shintaro looks up. "Ah, hey Red. Meet my daughter, Amalia." He grits his teeth as Amalia ties the new bandage around the wound on his thigh, which Kyouka judges to be a gunshot wound. By way of explanation, Shintaro simply says "Your sister sent some men after me."
"Ho?" Kyouka raises an eyebrow as she arrived. "Well, at least you're alive." She sighed as she closes the door behind her. "So, what about the ninja she sent after you? Have you dealt with him yet?" She asked as she sits down in front of him.
He shakes his head. "Nah, nothing. Amalia, why don't you go get your mother something to eat?" He passes her some coins, and she stands. "Nice to meet you." She gives Kyouka a smile on her way out. As the door closes behind her, Shintaro gives a groan. "Damn, she got me good, Red. Shoulda just let her have you that day. Oh, by the way, there was an attempt on your brothers, too. They were doing a job for the Clan, and were attacked by thugs like the ones who attacked me. They're fine, though."
"Mhm. Glad to meet you." She nods at his daughter. "Hmph. Maybe you should. I would've gotten a chance to escape before she got me." Kyouka sighed, "As for my brothers. Simple thugs won't do them in. Hell, those two can probably take care of an army on their own." She shrugged, "Anyway. I just came here to inform you I've created an organization... well for now its just a group. But its still my own."
"Mhm." Kyouka nods, "For now we're a jack of all trades kind of group." She said as she leans in closer to him, "For now, we've robbed a yakuza warehouse. And burned down one of Oichi's perfume factory." She whispered, making sure only Shintaro could hear.
Shintaro chuckles. "Good to see you keep busy. You know, I know a few people who could join up with you, so long as they're paid well."
"Ho? Sounds interesting. Who are they?" Kyouka asked with a proud smile. "Anyway, what about you? I trust you aren't sleeping arounf, waiting for Oichinto kill you now, are you?"
"There's a chamber, down below the room with the statues, the one you cleared out. It has a particular gemstone I want. However, it's filled with animated plants, and my spiders are ill-suited to combat in those conditions. Therefore, I'd like you two to do the fighting."
"They're a group of nanban...privateers, who've been doing mercenary work since their ship went down a little while ago. They're skilled in combat, if you don't mind their stink." He sighs. "No, I've been preparing a few things. Firstly, I had a countermeasure to Oichi's mind control poison made. I also sent a spy out as bait. Oichi will recruit him, thinking she'll turn him against me, but in reality he'll be spying on her, immune to her poison."
Midori nodded along as she listened to the woman's explanation. “A land of endless desert? Not a place I would want to visit... though I might check out the bazaar later – I'm curious what items they have for sale. And yes, I'm going to stay away from the yakuza if I can help it – no need to tempt fate.” She promised as she took a sip of her tea and finished it. “Thank you for your time, Tiyaka, I appreciate it. I guess I should leave you to your work now – but I will let you know if I have any news in regards to your troubles.” She reassured the woman.
'That would be helpful,' Jian nodded, then smiled at Priya, 'Say, you're a powerful sorceress. Even if your spiders don't to well against animated plants, could you not just go down there and destroy the plants before you grab the gemstone?'
"Nanban, huh? Can they at least speak our language? I don't mind speaking in theirs, but having a group that can't understand each other is a good way to get them to kill each other." Kyouka sighed, but when Shintaro mentioned his antidote, she looks surprised. "Wow. Can't believe you made one in a short amount of time." She said with a nod, "Needless to say. Don't let her know you have one. If AN antidote can foil Oichi's plan, I wouldn't be bothering with her."
