"Postlethwaite - but my friends call me Vince." He smiles. "Can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee? Something stronger? Well, here at Fitzgerald Industries we very much support the good work you've been doing. After that high profile apprehension of Captain Spark - great job, by the way - we want to throw our support behind you, and show the world that your values are our values. I was thinking of a photoshoot to begin, and then an internet campaign, before finally a series of TV spots..."
"Right, it's still better than guessing." Vanessa nods, "Also, we should prepare to make a public announcement on what happened. The police have been trying to get in contact with me since this all started." She grumbles as she hated giving a press release.
“Well, that's convenient. We need to buy you some new clothes, Esme. So we could visit the shops in the area, see what they have for sale, possibly buy you a few things if you find anything you like... and at the same time have a look at this Hotel Majestic and the area around it.” Azura suggested with a smile. “Since it is in a nice district we are not very likely to get attacked by would-be robbers, at least as long as we do not do anything to attract unwanted attention. Once we get an idea about what we are dealing with we can decide what to do next. How does that sounds?” She looked at the other two women, waiting to hear their thoughts.
"Nothing at the moment thank you." Psychana said declining the beverage offer before Vince continued. "That's incredibly generous of you Mr. Postlethwaite, thank you." Psychana replied professionally once he'd finished his pitch. In truth, Jenny was barely able to contain her excitement. But she knew she couldn't just jump into anything, as much as she may have wanted to. It wasn't just her after all, she was here representing Harry, Ty, Sondra, and Mike. "As I understand it, your company has requested me specifically. I'm compelled to inform you that I work as part of a team, we're a package deal. If you want me you want all of us; and I'm afraid that's non-negotiable. That said, I speak for my team when I say that we are interested in your offer. Now if you feel that we'd all be better served if I were the 'face' of our group I'm sure none of the others would object. But we would all have to be included, if not initially then eventually." She waited for the man to come to terms with her stipulation before she continued. "Now you say that your values and our values coincide and I'm encouraged by that. But I think perhaps it would be prudent for my group to do a bit more research on your company before we agree to any collaboration. I'm sure you've done your homework on us, you'd agree then that it's only fair we do our homework on you." "I'd also like to have our lawyer go over your proposal, just as a safeguard of course." Only after did she let a little of her excitement show. "Once all of that is done, your proposal sounds good to me!"
He lifts himself off the couch enough to make the process easier. A sizeable erection pops out from under the sliding waistband to greet her as Nico re-seats himself. "Didn't get a good enough view last night?"
"Good idea, but I worry. A public press conference will put you in a vulnerable position, madame." Lawrence sighs.
"Well we don't have to do a public conference. Just a simple press release to say that I'm fine, and working towards making sure something like this doesn't happen again..." Vanessa pauses, "Wait, does that last part make it sound like I'm planning a murder?"
"Hmm... To be frank, Psychana, we're simply not that interested in the rest of your group. You're the one that the local buzz is around - there's a reason bands have front men, after all." He sighs. "If we include them, we'd have to up your solo exposure as well, so we're not diluting your brand." The businessman gives his ruthless assessment. "You're free to do whatever research you wish. Fitzgerald Industries and its values are well known - the company has been around for more than a century, with countless charitable programs under its belt, and our stand against criminality and corruption is well known. Not a week ago, I and the current head of the Fitzgerald family, Vanessa, were kidnapped by the famous villain Hammer." He points to his black eye. "This is proof of that." "The proposal is here for you to bring to your lawyer, but I'd advise you to move quickly. There are a lot of heroes in this town, and old news fades quickly. Costumes on their own are forgotten quickly when they don't get lucky and have a lot of crimes to deal with. We can put your face on billboards - keep you fresh in every citizen's mind, but not if you wait too long." He slides forward a piece of paper. "This is the bonus we'd be prepared to pay you on completion of our first campaign." Psychana feels her eyes widen as she sees the sum - it's seven digits.
"I don't see you complaining." She grips his manhood in her delicate hand, gently stroking. "Hey," she looks at him, "I probably don't need to say this, but this stays between us, right? You, me and Lee, I mean?"
With shame, just at the mention of Hammer Jenny felt her nether region grow moist, but she kept that to herself without revealing anything. "That is an incredibly generous offer." Psychana replied upon seeing the amount. Jenny's heart was racing at the idea that she and Harold would never have to worry about money again. Once the man's explanations were done, Psychana collected the documents as well as the bonus offer sheet. "Again thank you Mr. Postlethwaite, I appreciate your candor and I assure you you'll have my answer by the end of the week." she offered her hand for the man to shake. "If that's everything I'll take my leave and start looking this over right away. When I've made my decision do you have a means you'd like me to contact you by?"
"I believe you're worth it, Psychana, but of course, time is everything." He stands, shaking her hand, before nodding. "I'll have my secretary give you my office- Actually, why don't I just give you my personal phone number so you can contact me at any time?" He hands over a piece of paper.
"That would be wonderful, thank you Mr. Postlethwaite." Psychana replied. With all the information in hand, Psychana bid the man adieu and took off for home. She had some research to do.
"Right, after that make sure you get some rest." Vanessa giggles, Speaking of making appearances... I should visit Jacob. I did promise to buy him a punching bag, and some gaming consoles. She thinks to herself, deciding to anonymously buy the items, and have it delivered to his new home. Then once it was night time, Vanessa dons her costume and visits the young man to apologize for the delay.
Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 37 Looking up Fitzgerald Industries, Psychana isn't really able to glean much of interest about the company - it seems pretty normal, though in this city that does mean there's been no accusations of gross misconduct, which is a positive sign. There's a developing story about the company's CEO, Vanessa Fitzgerald, who hasn't been seen publically for a few days since a number of murders took place at her mansion, suspected to have been committed by Hammer gang thugs, but then again, if Hammer's after her, it's perhaps not all that suspicious that she'd want to make herself scarce. The investigation is interrupted by a loud, impatient banging at the door.
The young man quickly opens the door as she arrives, looking at her. "It feels like weeks since I've seen you." He smiles, before gripping the superhero's arm and pulling her into the house.
"Yeah, I was, oh!" Vanessa was interrupted as she was giving her excuse, as he assertively pulls her inside the house. "Sorry, I got busy with some hero business." She said with a shaky smile, "But don't worry, the punchind bag, and gaming consoles are on the way." The heiress giggles, "What havd you been up to these days?"
