"Crazy bitch." Felicia mutters, watching Carley lose her composure. "I use Abyss' effect to negate the effect of your monster!" She declares, preventing the Creator from activating its effect.
Angelica draws and smiles. "I shall Normal Summon Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi from my hand. Surely you knew I have more than one of her." A kitsune, visibly weaker than the previous one Julia saw, manifests beside the cultist. "Tsukahagi, Yuki-Musume, and Gameciel will Synchronize to call a second Gashadokuro, the Skeletal Mayakashi. The spirit of death will lock itself in combat with Nekroz of Areadbhair, ultimately destroying them both." An short but intense battle between the two ensues, with the Nekroz clawed and bitten repeatedly while batting away enough pieces of Gashadokuro to disable the monster. "Finally, the little fox ghost will attack you directly." Dakki leaps at Julia, clawing at her to deal 1000 damage, lowering her LP to 2400. "I end my turn." Angelica smiles again. The trio begin to traverse the halls, searching for the other two students Adam and Yumi entered with. Spoiler: Luck Roll 84=84 success Despite not knowing where to look, they start on the second floor, reasoning that the leadership would be up there and that the pair of girls were going after them. Adam can soon hear the sounds of a duel behind a set of closed double doors on the end of a corridor on the second floor.
(I'll interrupt with Valkyrus's effect. I might have editted that part in after you read, sorry of using brioanic to discard itself and replace it.) Julia wasn't too surprised to know she had multiple copies in the same deck. Getting rid of them wouldn't be quite that simple....though...the connection was notably weaker than before. If she had to guess, Angelica's spirit was still under strain even with that thread. As the skeleton emerges again, Julia braces it for to attack as the Skeleton raises it arm ready to do battle, but then reveals the Valkyrus in her hand, remaining confident. "Oh, too bad. I guess you're not familiar, with ALL of Valkyrus's abilities? He doesn't need to be on the field to help. I will banish the Nekroz mirror from my graveyard and send Valkyrus to the graveyard negating your attack and ending the battle phase." (If that interruption works, I'll will do my turn soon.)

Spoiler: Thunder Dragon Fusion Spoiler: Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon "Oh, and since I have another Thunder Dragon in my hand, I'll just banish it and the Twin-Headed one to Special Summon Thunder Dragon Titan!" Felicia takes a total of 1900 damage to her Life Points as currents of electricity run through her, jumping from her monsters as they writhe before her. "That's my turn. [No, I saw the edited version. Angelica just isn't omniscient.] The Mirror and Valkyrus stop the skeleton in it's tracks, preserving Areadbhair for at least one more turn. [So, Dakki doesn't attack and Julia's LP is back at 3400 when Angelica ends her turn.]
Spoiler: Magical Resonance Roll 19+10(Echoes of the Past)=29 fail He sees only the swirling darkness which prevents anyone not part of a shadow game from peering within. Felicia and Michio are probably within the sphere, but Adam can't know for certain.
"Putain..." Adam sighs in irritation, but decides to stay out of it for now, knowing that distracting the duelist could make things worse. He decides to search some of the other rooms for anything of interest.
(Ah, shoot I thought it was a cost. Oh well.) "Ghhh!" Felicia's eyes widen as her field is destroyed, "Khh." She groans, but as she at least manage to draw something useful. Felicia doesn't lose hope. "I use Crimson Resonator's effect from my hand, allowing me to special summon him in attack position. Then I normal summon Red Familiar in attack mode." Felicia waits for her monsters to appear, the fiery demon bringing a bit of light in the darkness surrounding them. "I tune them both, synchro summoning the Red Rising Dragon." She declares as a burst of flame appears on the field, leaving a burning dragon in its wake. Spoiler: Crimson Resonator Spoiler: Red Familiar Spoiler: Red Rising Dragon "Now I'll activate Red Rising Dragon's effect, allowing me to special summon Crimson Resonator from my graveyard! Followed by activating Crimson Resonator's effect, allowing me to summon two more Resonator's to my field." Felicia continues her play, summoning Barrier Resonator, and Chain Resonator, two level 1 tuners. "Now, I'll tune Crimson Resonator with my Red Rising dragon to summon Red Dragon Archfiend!" She roars, calling upon her partner, Felicia's voice growing in intensity. "Now I use Red Dragon Archfiend, and my two tuners to call out Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend!" The red-head exclaims, calling upon her parter. Spoiler: Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend "Hehe, don't think it's over. I still have two cards in my hand!" She boasts, "I activate Zektrike Kou-Ou, discarding the Inzektor Dragonfly in my hand, to special summon my third copy of Dragonfly from my deck!" She makes her play, leaving her with no cards in her hands. "Now, I activate Dragonfly's effect, equipping Hornet to him. Then I use Hornet's effect to destroy your Titan!" Felicia declared, grinning intensely. "I then special summon a second copy of Centipede from my deck, equipping him with Hornet. Followed by Activating Hornet's effect a second time to target your Titan! Which in turn acticates Centipede, Allowing me to retrieve another Hornet from my deck to my hand. "Now, partner, use your effect!" Felicia declares, destroying every other monster in the field. Figuring that as Carley lacked an extra card to use in her graveyard, Tyrant's effect could destroy everything in the field. "Alright! Now burn her to a crisp, partner!" Felicia declared, attacking directly to deal 3500 damage before ending her turn.
"Professor Meri was able to join in watching your duel. Why can't we watch this one?" Yumi asks, curious. Most of the nearby rooms are locked, and Adam's serving nun warns him against trying to break in. "They're warded bedrooms. Without a way to disable the ward spells, we can't get in without alerting everyone in the building what's happening. Some of the ones farther down the hall should be fine to open, though."
Predictably, Carley banishes everything in her Graveyard except for Thunder Dragon Fusion in an effort to keep her Titan alive, but the Tyrant's volcanic breath renders her efforts in vain. Charred and singed, parts of her dress still aflame as the smell of burning hair fills the area, she takes her turn. "I draw." The crazed woman cackles. "I told you that Hell holds no power over me! I banish Thunder Dragon Fusion from the Graveyard, adding any Thunder monster I want from my deck to my hand. Who should I pick..." She thinks for a second. "I'll go with The Chaos Creator!" Spoiler: The Chaos Creator "Before we can get to that, I have this Thunder Dragondark in my hand still. I'll just toss him to the grave and bring another one to my hand with the effect." Spoiler: Thunder Dragondark "Now, I'll banish Thunder Dragon Titan and Thunder Dragondark from the dead to Special Summon The Chaos Creator! The avatar of energy and entropy!" Rather than the monster on the card manifesting on the field between the duelists, Carley simply walks forward until she's standing before Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend. Lightning sparks in her hands. One holds brilliant, yellow arcs and the other holds black, malignant streaks. "Using my power over the fundamental forces in order to recreate life, I Special Summon Thunder Dragon Titan from the void! Thunder Dragon and Thunder Dragonmatrix are placed from the absence of existence to the bottom of my deck as well." The fearsome three-headed dragon stands beside Carley, looking at the Tyrant with burning hatred. "Now, to destroy your pathetic denizen of Hades, I discard my third Thunder Dragon from my hand, adding the one I just added to the deck to my hand in it's place." She grins widely. "This activates Thunder Dragon Titan's effect! Destroy the Tyrant!" A beam of electricity is fired from all three of the Titan's heads, converging on Felicia's partner and piercing it's thick hide. The scarred student suddenly feels tired. Spoiler: Commune Roll Tyrant 51+10=61 good Earthbound 12=12 poor She hears a low rumbling voice. Keep fighting! It's not over- It is cut off as the Archfiend dies. Carley doesn't hesitate to attack. She and the Titan direct bolts of lightning at Felicia, electrocuting her as she falls to a mere 600 Life Points. "I end my turn, Insect." The cult leader spits on the ground. "Give up now and I might be lenient" [I'm auto-using Destiny for you because there's not really a reason to save it for the next turn.] Spoiler: Turn 4 Roll Felicia 56+20(Lucky Onslaught)+10(Destiny)=86 good Carley 42+15(Building Charge)=57 average
With another turn to pass by, Julia drinks for her life points to restore back up as another counter on the cauldron was placed to put her at 4900 making her steady recovery. That card was helping keeping her in the game, but wouldn't save her if she keep taking too damage for long. Now that Julia finally had a proper monster to play, one of the cards in her hand was no longer just dead weight as she played it, her field living up with more of the strange mix of lights and the appearance of being under the sea despite still being in the dungeon. "I play Aqaurium Stage. Water type monsters can't be destroyed by battle against non water types." Spoiler While Aquatresss monsters weren't used by Julia, she didn't need them to make use of the other effect to protect her monsters. "And the card I just drew- Spoiler "Pre-prepration of rites, allowing me to add a ritual monster and spell to my hand. And I choose, Trishula of the Nekroz, and I bring out another Nekroz Mirror." Spoiler "And with Nekroz Mirror's effect I can play monsters from my graveyard for the ritual summon and I use Surit who-as you know by now, works as the entire entire tribute requirement." Julia was a little wary about banishing here, but ruled it should ultimately be okay if she won and them being used willingly probably didn't make it as dangerous for them as being forcefully destroyed by their opponent. She hoped. "When the barrier was under attack, in their desperation they released the dragon that could freeze the world." Julia still couldn't resist her flare for the dramatic as the field began to overtake in a glow and the cold wind could be felt in stark contrast to Arbedihair's heat, the emergence of what appeared to be yet another version of Surit morphed with a white and blue dragon. "And once Trishula hits the field, a card from your hand, field and graveyard is banished. The cold from the great dragon is so severe, it pours into the afterlife itself. Trishula, from the graveyard, remove Tsukaghi the Posinous Makyashi from the graveyard, and severe the surviving strings Dakki has in this world." (Almost removes one from the hand randomly. I'll see if she can play in response.)
Angelica does nothing to interrupt the professor's turn. She simply watches as Julia banishes the nun's most important monsters. The card lost from the stoic woman's hand is Rivalry of Warlords. Spoiler: Rivalry of Warlords Now, Angelica's hand is devoid of cards. Only Gashadokuro and a face down spell/trap lie between Julia's monsters and the professor's opponent. Spoiler: Perception Roll 3+10=13 fail Julia still sees no worry on Angelica's face. Does she not care for her connection with Dakki? Is there something the cultist knows which Julia doesn't?
It was jarring that she still remained so calm. Julia wondered if she had the wrong idea about how it all worked, but for now she at least had taken the advantage somewhat back. Angelica still had her face down card but much of the greater danger of her special summoning machine was shut down. “Adreadbhair attacks Gashadkuro.” Julia declared the attack a little wary of what she might be able to do at the last minute but declared it as the dragon knight delivered his spear into the skeleton’s skull, as it let out a dark roar of black energy that made the knight’s whole body shake, but remaining strong as the dark glow from the skeleton’s eyes faded and it began to fall. “Since Gashadokuro isn’t a water monster, Adreadbhair survives the exchange and is not destroyed by battle. Trishula will attack directly.”
Angelica interrupts Trishula's attack. "I'll banish Haunted Shrine from the realm of the dead, returning the spirit of Gashadokuro to protect me." The giant skeleton finds itself amongst the living once again, wreathed in purple flames. [Anything else Julia wants to do?]
It was a bit annoying for it to return, but ultimately Angelica was strained on ways to keep getting her monsters out while Julia's board continued to build. "Ngh. Then replay happens and I don't declare the attack." Calling off the attack Trishula remained where it was, but keeping it's weapons ready, looking undeterred, even in the face of the stronger monster. With the second main phase, Julia debated on the card in her hand, but decided to hold off just yet. She still needed to have a monster ready to tribute for Ardreadbhair and it was better to use a card from her hand that sacrifice Trishula if she didn't need to. Angelica would need to get Aquatress Stage off the field to break through her defenses, though if she attacked Trishlua with Gashadkuro she would still take battle damage, but nothing unsurvivable. Julia had gained a rather strong advantage with Angelica limited in cards left to play, none the less. Without any more of her tuners left to recycle, Angelica's summoning power would be drastically reduced. "I'll end my turn."
Angelica nods and draws. "I'll cast Burial from a Different Dimension." An ornate, black coffin is shunted into the dungeon through a portal, leaving the cultist's hand empty again. Spoiler: Burial from a Different Dimension "Within the casket lie the corpses of Dakki, Tengu, and Yoko. Three of those who you have exorcised previously. Their spirits are placed in the Graveyard where they rightfully belong." The casket inters itself. "Since Yuki-Musume can see one of her friends on the field, she returns from death to join him." The girl, in Defense Position, hides behind the giant skeleton as well as she can. "I offer Tsukahagi from my deck as a reward for her presence." Like before, the card is torn and reappears in the Graveyard. "It seems the time has finally come." Angelica flips the trap which has been lying in wait for most of the duel. "I activate Fateful Hour." Spoiler: Fateful Hour "In the time of their greatest need, the Mayakashi shall answer the cries of their companions. Yoko, please join us." The elder kitsune sister's spirit floats from it's burial place, forming a translucent ghost sitting on top of Gashadokuro's arm. "Since she returned from death, Yoko destroys Nekroz of Areadbhair with her sly tricks." [I assume you want use Areadbhair to stop something in there, so I'm pausing the turn. She isn't done yet.]
She really wasn't letting them just stay dead. As she saw Yuki summon herself back out, Julia held off on activating her effect just yet, knowing that Ardreadbhair's effect was only once per turn. "I activate Ardreadbhair's effect by tributing Fog King from my hand." Julia looked at the card she had since the start that she hadn't been able to play, placing it into the graveyard, silently having a conversation with it. Sorry, maybe next time. Spoiler As the Kitsune attempted to work her magic, Ardreadbhair responsed with a pyre of magical flame to burn away the spirit into oblivion. "Yoko is banished yet. again." While this saved her monster for now and her best defense since she knew that Angelica most likely had nothing able to just beat over it, it wasn't going to be enough to totally break down Angelica's defenses yet, but it was a start.
"Hey what are you-!" Felicia calls out as Carley walks to the field. Only for the lead nun to produce orbs of magic in her hands, "What the hell are you up to?" She grumbled, almost as if, "No wait, is that your spirit?" The red-head asked, just as Carley makes her move. "Khhh!" She groans as the Titan she used so many resources on returns to the field, "No!" Felicia exclaims as her Tyrant is destroy, "Ghhh!" Followed by letting out a groan, as she struggled to keep herself standing Part...ner! What just... happened? She screams in her head, her legs quivering as she felt drained. But then, as Carley's attack commences. "Aaaargh!" Felicia screams in pain as her life points drop to a dangerous level. "Aaah... haaah. Khhh!" She attempts to power through the pain, preventing her knees from touching the ground. "Haah. Y-you bitch! It's... aargh... not over yet!" The red-head pants, sweat running down her forehead. "D-draw!" She groans, adding another card next to the Inzektor Hornet she has in her hand. "I activate Pot of Greed." Felicia draws two cards, taking a quick look before glaring at Carley, "Next I activate Allure of Darkness. Drawing two more cards, and banishing 1 dark type monster from my hand." The red-head declares, looking at the three cards left in her hand. Monster Reborn, Forest, and the Earthbound Immortal Uru. "Haah... haah. I activate, Monster Reborn to special summon Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss from my graveyard." Felicia makes her move, "Then I activate his effect, negating your Titan's effect until the end phase." The red-head grins, "Then I activate Red Rising Dragon's effect from the graveyard, banishing itself to special summon two level 1 tuners from my grave, to my field!" Felicia slowly regulates her breathing, knowing the duel was close at hand. "Then, I'll activate the field spell, Forest." She plays her card, turning the surrounding room into a lush green forest... if only it wasn't so dark due to Carley's magic. Spoiler: Forest Spoiler: Earthbound Immortal Uru "Now! I'll tribute the two Resonators I just summoned to call out!" Felicia musters every ounce of strength she could, "The Earthbound Immortal... Uru!" She calls upon her second spirit, smiling. Though she can end the match with Uru's effect to attack directly, Felicia wanted the cocky, crazy nun to feel despair. "Now! I'll attack you, the Chaos Creator with Abyss!" The red-head declares, using her fiendish dragon to blow Carley out of the monster field. "Then with Abyss's second effect, I special summon another Resonator from my graveyard, to my field." She continues as another harmless looking monster appears, "Followed by activating Uru's effect, I tribute my newly summoned Resonator to take control of your Titan!" Felicia grins, leaving Carley with no protection. "Uru! Attack her directly, and end this!"
