"They're your monsters, correct? Do they have wills of their own, or are they mindless drones?" Yumi asks, holding back a giggle. "Pardon the pun." "Parshath?" Now the woman does laugh. "No, he would never even think of granting me something as 'hedonistic and unnatural' as a working penis." She does a mocking holier-than-thou impression. "But, I am only a little envious of you. Take it from me, I think you will regret it if you do not at least try it and see what it's like. Of course, I assume that--Uru, was it?--will remove the...manhood should you wish it."
Julia wasn't afraid to return the hug, but more focused on his words and quickly looked to Angelica. "Where are they now?"
"From what I gathered during my duels. The monsters... they seemed alive. More than mere holograms." Felicia replied, smiling at Yumi's pun. "I mean..." Felicia fishes out the Earthbound Immortal Uru's card from her deck holster. "You wouldn't think a spider monster would be interested either... it's worth a shot, I think." The red-head giggles, before blushing as Yumi gives her advice, "I guess... you're right. I think Uru's power is just temporary... for now." She almost whispers the last part, recalling how the insectile voice mentioned growing in strength the more broodmothers it had.
The shadows do not yet begin to fade, awaiting a clear answer from the victor. Angelica stares down at the table, awaiting judgment. Spoiler: Julia Commune Roll 16+10=26 fail
Julia really had no idea what she was seriously expected to do. Though Angelica was bit too much of a risk to just let go, and Julia didn't really have much interest in all the other stuff the cult seemed to want to do. Given her actions, Julia couldn't exactly find her all that attractive or just forget about all of that, and controlled or not, it still seemed like to at least some degree, her actions were her own doing regardless. "I suppose, I should....what do I do here..." Julia debated on it for a while before the answer seemed more clear. "Then I guess....I could..." Still thinking about it. "Have her duel spirit return to the afterlife. It doesn't belong in our world. It is no longer welcome to return." If she was able to kill the link between the spirit's influence, then maybe there was a chance for her to be better one day. And if Angelica lost her connection, she wouldn't be nearly as dangerous to leave to her own devices. Maybe a little more sane. But Julia could always just defeat her again if the worst came to it.
"I noticed during Adam's duel, but there is difference between occupying a physical form and having a sapient mind. Did any of them speak or do things you did not command them to do?" Yumi reasons. "I am no biologist, but I am fairly certain spiders are far more sexual creatures than angels." The professor laughs. "Again, I do not intend to pressure you into...manhood if you aren't comfortable with it, but I truly think you should try it." She gives Felicia a caring smile.
@Tjf Julia and Adam see a red, translucent kitsune spirit forced out of Angelica's body. It flies around, panicked, before screaming silently and disappearing. Angelica cries. The shadows finally begin to fade away, revealing the two prisoners which Julia saw upon first entering the dungeon, and revealing the room proper to Adam. Spoiler: Dungeon Spoiler: Prisoners Both of them are standing at the doors to their cells, anxiously awaiting the result of the duel.
"No, they did as I command, nothing more... well, except for Tyrant, and Uru... Tyrant cheered me on. And Uru, though it dealt the final blow, it seemed to have held back so that it didn't... consume all of Carley's soul." Felicia replied. But as their conversation returns to Uru's... special magic. "I-I mean, it would just feel weird... to... do that before I lose my... you know." She blushes, mumbling about the fact that her first sexual experience would be about her using a magic penis, rather than breaking her hymen.
Julia seeing the pained look in Angelica after having apparently exiled her spirit, something that Julia had now discovered was possible, almost put a smile on her face. "Well, you're not coming back from that one." Julia joked a bit to east tension, before glancing at Angelica then looking to Adam. "I'm not too sure exactly, but I think the spirit's been exiled out of this world. If it can still come back from that, I doubt it won't be anytime soon. I think....there's at least a chance for Angelica to clean up her act. We'll see." Julia still wasn't sure exactly how to treat her, but turned her attention to the prisoners, looking to see if Angelica was still conscious and if anything actually changed. The decision to surrender had to be hers. She was at least in control of some of her own actions but... "Release them." She kept her words to Angelica short, wary of what the blond haired girl still might do.
Adam reels back from the spirit, before feeling a pang of sympathy for the crying girl despite what she did. "Hey." He turns to the prisoners. "Do you know why you were locked up?"
"In that case, if you want your monsters, aside from Tyrant and Uru, to...breed her, then you need only summon them and command them to do so. Although, you would likely need to create an area like the ones the Shadow Games used. Something you would have to ask Julia about." Yumi concludes. "Felicia, your first time--your real first time, not whatever Angelica and the boy did--is always going to feel weird." She comforts the student. "I'm sure there's plenty of boys, or girls, on campus you could spend time with first if you want."
"Right, I guess I'll need to learn more about magic." Unless you can summon them? Felicia replied, before whispering to her spirits. "Ah, yeah, my first time..." The red-head blushed, "A-aah, let's not... talk about that stuff here." She exclaims in an embarrassed tone. "Classes haven't even started yet." Felicia grumbles.
Spoiler: Julia Commune Roll 76+10=86 success You do realize you just started a war between my kind and the Mayakashi, correct? This will take considerable effort to avoid destroying both of our tribes! As if I wasn't busy enough already... Angelica, tears still running down her face, wordlessly stands from the table. She retrieves a set of keys from a hook a few paces away, and walks to the cells. "I'm sorry," is all the woman says as she frees the prisoners. The young man answers Adam first while Angelica works on the locks. "Not really. I was just walking, looking around the rich part of town, when all of a sudden I've got a bag over my head and I wind up in here." The embarrassed woman's story is fairly similar. "I was at the beach with some friends. I changed in one of the little tents they have for that. My sister followed me in to change too, no big deal, but I don't remember anything after that until I woke up here a little while ago. Is Demeter alright? Did you find her yet?"
"Um, yeah." Adam says, a little embarrassed. "She's tied up in a closet near the front entrance. She's one of them, or at least she was. One of my friends beat their leader, so if Demeter was being brainwashed, the hold on her might have been broken."
Spoiler: Commune Roll Tyrant 33+10=43 average Uru 69=69 nice/good Too weak...to have servants...The voice Felicia recognizes as Uru's whispers to her. "I think all of us do." Yumi nods sagely. The professor smiles. "They start tomorrow, you know. I wonder if you're enrolled in biology, or even sex ed..." She can't help herself from teasing Felicia. They hear Carley beginning to stir. The cult leader groans but doesn't seem to have moved yet.
That sounds like a problem....still. When that happens, I'll help you. The spirit would be returned to the spirit realm and unable to manifest anytime soon for a long time. But that meant it would return it's own home and be running rampant there and not at all happy with how things turned out. Still if it was beatable once, it would be beatable again. If the effects of monsters represented their abilities...then the Nekroz tribe would have a strong advantage against the Makyashi, but it was unlikely to be that simple. Still, while dangerous, she had proven they aren't beyond the reach of being beatable. Although, Julia knew she would definitely need to properly grow her abilities before seriously trying to take on the yokai in the spirit realm where it was much less bound to ordinary rules. "We're just cleaning up the last of the cultists now. We're going to regroup with the rest of our gang soon. I'm going to guess you probably aren't looking to move in, so you should probably come too."
Wait, wait! Then how am I supposed to make her a broodmother!? Hearing Uru's response, Felicia screamed in her head. "Urgh, seriously, I'm starting to wonder exactly what part about the academy is about dueling." She grumbles from Yumi's teaching. Until they heard Carley stirring awake. Felicia frowns, wondering if the shadow duel's magic would even work on the cult leader. She keeps her guard up, waiting for Carley to get up.
"Oh no...You mean...she did this to me? My little sister..." The girl sits on the sparse bunk provided for her and cries, heartbroken by the revelation. Angelica works the locks open, swinging the cell doors to allow both prisoners to exit, but the black-haired girl doesn't budge. The boy, meanwhile, doesn't hesitate to join Julia and Adam. "Well, thanks for saving me. Wish I had something to give you, but I'm kinda broke." He smiles jovially.
Uncertain and awkward, Adam puts a hand on the girl's shoulder. "There there... Like I said, I think she was being controlled. It wasn't really her." He looks to the young man. "Don't worry about it - we didn't go out of our way to rescue you, we already had un boef with these nuns. Besides, I'm rich - I don't need the money."
