Male De-virgining

In the past, I've suggested that some common sex tropes be gender-reversed/Rule 63'd, see if people would like it. And while I do know that "Gender Role Reverse" stories do exist, that's not what I was asking for then, and that's not what I'm asking for now.

The idea that I'm pitching, or attempting to pitch, is the tale of a male lead experiencing what it feels to lose his virginity, and what he's going to do with that fact. I'm sure 90% of us can relate to this and have stories about losing our virginities to a lady (I can't), or fantasies of how we're supposed to lose them

Fun fact: someone once told me that they would take me to Amsterdam and shove me at the nearest hooker we found at the Red Light District, that's how much they pitied me).

Now obviously, I can see a few problems with this:

    1) Most MCs in stories are author self-inserts that were made so that the OP can fulfill their fantasies. And while that's not a bad thing, one reason to write is escapism. Why write about how much you were just a sad virgin 6 hours ago, to a sad "did I impregnate this girl" young adult?

    2) Since the MC is a virgin, he's not going to be experienced. Who wants to write about how someone dry humping a bombshell for a paragraph or sixteen straight, having described that the girl is not at all pleased?

    3) While the story could be about the development of how someone inexperienced becomes experienced, I don't know if the average reader has enough sympathy or attention span to follow an MC like this. I know I don't on both accounts.

Let me know what you folks think of an idea like this.

If this male is being deflowered in a historical setting, keep in mind that the absence of a Male Hymen after the act could have substantial social repercussions. Otherwise, he should probably spare a thought to the possibility of Male Pregnancy.

What other fine tips do we experienced CHYOA writers have about writing a man's first time?

Maybe this deflowering wasn't the right word.

I thought Devirginization but couldn't find anything on Merriam-Webster, because I'm that much of an idiot.

I know what you meant, I was just making a dumb joke. Sorry if I pushed it too far.

On a more serious note, support your local hookers! Unless you live in a region that doesn't believe in birth control. In which case, support other, safer hookers!

re the Story: From distant memory, the teenage attempts at losing one's virginity tended to be frantic and a rich seam of anecdotes if they weren't quite so close to the bone. If they were recounted here, they would need to be carefully edited to pass the site rules though. Plenty of material from getting to certain bases, but failing to hit a home run.

I dont like to pry as to why, but I'm assuming your abstinence is choice?
In hindsight, I'd support Curvy's view on supporting hookers more than traditional relationships (where erotica tends to dwindle and less pleasant emotions rise over time).
Any thoughts on sex-tourism anyone. Is this just a healthy way of supporting distant economies rather than giving to charity?

There's also a blurred line about what counts as losing one's cherry. e.g. dating a catholic girl who won't have full sex with you till marriage, but is happy enough to deliver regular bjs. (a fairly pleasant stint of semi-virginity, although you run the risk of hitting the problem experienced in the movie "the crying game" ). You might even discover one where anal is allowable, but not vaginal. Would you still be a virgin after that?
The main problems I recall from my own ridiculous attempts were that most girls seemed to have their own limits, and no two were the same, so it was a bit of a minefield to navigate trying to get to the ONE. I think it should make for a fairly humorous tale.

    I
Indeed I am. Call me old fashioned, but I intend to get married first... though I imagine that the wifey would want a divorce if the honeymoon isn't so great.

It does, however, lessen the risk of becoming a father early. Something that happened to an uncle of mine, and I'd rather not walk those same footsteps.

Ahh yes, read this somewhere. "The Hymen Paradox," or if the hymen hasn't popped, or popped before actually having vaginal sex, is the person still a virgin?

In my opinion, any form of sexual interaction is popping a cherry. Now you may say otherwise, but so does someone else. There's really no true answer, but my opinion stands that, virginity is when you haven't had sexual intercourse, but when you get your willy wet/wet somebody's willy, that's enough to experience what it's like to be with someone else.

    But what do I know?

Technically male virginity doesn't actually exist.

If you define it as hymen breaking and boys don't have hymens in the first place, then they can't actually be virgins.

I'm either going to shoot myself, or change the title of the thread like I should've done two days ago.

The Forum's changed so yes, still alive.

Suppose I should stop with that language.

Actually, the definition of shooting one's self is...
    Sorry, I'll stop myself.

Story wise, what about a Story following the escapades of an 18 year old guy when a bunch of hot girls discover he's a virgin and go to ridiculous lengths to change that. Competing with each other to claim his cherry.

How does claiming his cherry help him lose his virginity?

Sorry - just a saying. They are competing with each other to see which one of them can claim to be his first.

If you have the story idea, I'm not sure why you think the story isn't viable. It's certainly perfect for all manner of femdom tropes. Making the loss of the MC's virginity might be a huge limiting factor on the story length, especially if you go with such wide definitions.

I don't want to say ideas don't matter at all. After all, you need that initial spark of inspiration, and having a hook to pull your readers in is a good thing if you want your story to be noticed. However, I firmly believe execution decides 95% of whether a story will be good or not. The best idea in the hands of the worst writer will yield a garbage story, and the lamest, most overdone idea in the hands of a great writer will yield an amazing story.

So if you think this is a fun idea to work with, go and write it!

(And speaking from personal experience: lacking personal experience with something is not necessarily a problem. Just make sure to do your research!)

I definitely think there's a place for male virginity loss stories, but I think it's more about execution and tone. Generally, in most cultures, virginity and the loss of it are seen differently between the traditional sexes.

Females: innocence lost, something to protect or value, risk/fear (pregnancy in hetero sex or STDs), sometimes a transition to womanhood though often menstruation is that for women rather than sex, etc.

Males: sex as a rite of passage into manhood, achievement/conquest, power/control/dominance, shame if you're "still" a virgin, etc.

So I think any ideas would probably yield a softer or more humorous or romantic story than anything that might be more hardcore or "mainstream" on CHYOA like mind control, ENF, bimbos, etc. That said, I can think of several interesting ideas that could work. Not sure about branching paths and gamification though? Either way, if you have an interesting idea, go for it.
